    Delicious lunch buffet
    Kate S.

Came in and enjoyed a absolutely lovely buffet lunch. So many different options, there is certainly something here for everyone. I really enjoyed being able to have one bite of 20 different things. Such a variety and so delicious. All the flavors were so strong. Clearly the food had been slow. Cooked for a long time. With lots of love. I will definitely be back

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I was amazed how nicely decorated and clean this restaurant was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people are very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent and very well made even how the food was served or set-up was clean and well prepared. I saw a lot of people that seem like loyal customer and the people greeted them nicely. Every thing about this place is excellent.

Nirvana has a pretty good variety for the dinner buffet on Monday night. They have a mix of veg and non veg as well as a few desserts. All the dishes are pretty mild assumingly catered to the American palette. I wish there was a bit more spice and flavor. My favorites were the lamb Rogan Josh, lamb loin chops, and the channa masala. There were a few different choices for dessert including gulab jamun, mango mousse, watermelon, and carrot halwa. The mango mousse should be served chilled in my opinion rather than room temperature. The gulab jamun were good. The server gave us our check and when I went to pay, they changed it because he forgot to add a drink on it. Not a big deal but just a professionalism issue. If you want spicy Indian food, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a buffet to try a variety of things, it's worth checking out once in a while.

Well here I am in Texas eating again lol . I've definitely had some amazingly good food while I have been here . Indian food Was on my list of things to try while I was visiting and this place was close to where we had just finished our relaxing massages. We were here as soon as they opened up at 5:30pm . No one was in the restaurant except us for just a little bit. The inside is very nice and pleasing to the eye with tables and linens for fine dining. Our waiter was friendly and helpful since I have never tried Indian food and made some excellent suggestions. I only wish I lived in Texas now to be able to return sooner . I want to personally thank Hossain our waiter for all he did to make this a memorable experience . I will definitely come again soon

With an extensive variety of dishes laid out on the buffet table, there are plenty to choose from to meet all your Indian dishes needs, here at Nirvana. We came in a Friday afternoon for the lunch buffet, 20 minutes after they opened. There was only one other table here, but the food looked promising and plentiful. There are around 15 main entrée dishes to choose from, including chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, goat curry, fish curry, chicken kebab, daal, cabbage, aloo gabi, palak paneer, kadhi pakora, pakora, okra, green beans with other veggies, lamb biriyani, chicken biriyani and two other rice dishes. See? Plentiful right?? Unfortunately, there were only a few dishes that really stood out to me - the palak paneer and the yellow vegetable curry. The paneer was some of the best I've had and the Kadhi pakora was something I've never had before. It was a pakora dunked in a spiced yogurt sauce, with the sauce being sour but super flavorful. The rice dishes were all good, but nothing special. The tikka chicken masala had too much tomato flavor for my taste, making it overly sour. The daal was pretty good. The okra and veggie dishes were lackluster in flavor. Dessert included watermelon, rice pudding, carrot halva and gulab jamun. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and almost immediately cleared our old plates the entire meal. The cost of the lunch buffet was $21.50, which I thought was pretty steep, but there was a good variety of food. Overall, can't say I'd be back here but it definitely was not a bad experience!

This is a cautious, but happy 3.5 review that I rounded up to four stars. My friends said they love it hear and you know I am all about Indo/Pakistani food. We unfortunately came during a time that the buffet wasn't open, which is what they wanted us to experience. I know I would like to come back with the buffet open to update the review and add that element. Now for the negative, I have had better palak paneer and samosas elsewhere, but they were by no means gross or uneatable. It's just when you taste amazing samosas and palak paneer, you kinda judge every other dish to that. The appetizers - my friend ordered what felt like for a table of 12 - were really good. I think if I had not been so full, I would have enjoyed it more. Their garlic nan is on a whole other level. It's like bread garlic butter goodness. It's on the thinner side too, but it still has the yummy, comfort food effect to it because it's garlic naan. The service here was amazing. We had such a lovely waitress who even advised my friend not to over order - but he was stubborn and we told her not to worry about him. We all thought she did an amazing job. The only thing that worried me was how empty the place seemed. Looking at the reviews, it seems like this place is mostly active during the buffet hours, which is good. Is just I hate to see nice restaurants not have patrons, you know. I definitely want to come back and experience this place in its fullness. It's a nice little gamble, that I think everyone should take.

Very attractive set up for the buffet. Look at the number of dish options!

I've been to a fair amount of Indian lunch buffets, and this is absolutely the best one ever. The variety and selection are unheard of (~15 different entrees) and everything I tried was delicious. The setting is very clean and nice, and more upscale than other buffets I've been to. Look forward to the next meal there!

Great buffet, always fresh, with wide selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Our regular choice.

Still the same . No changes . Better Ingredients doesn't necessarily translate to better food ( isn't that like the papa john's slogan) ?

The crowd kept coming, and by the time we were done, the line appears to have grown to 1+ hour. Tip: Come early, especially on weekends! There was a sign saying that dining time is limited to 1 hour - completely understandable. Most of the clientele are South Asian - a good sign. The interior is clean and pleasant. The weekend buffet doesn't come cheap. We paid around $27 per person before tax or tips. But you get what you pay for - probably around 40 items, more than any other Indian buffet we have been to. This includes vegetarian items, meat dishes (chicken/lamb/fish), dessert, and drinks - including chai tea and rose milk. The quality is very good. We left absolutely stuffed.

The spread includes a good variety of South Indian dishes, mainly Tamil and Telugu cuisine, with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, rice, dosas, and other traditional favorites. The food was definitely on the spicier side. While there was a decent selection, I found the overall taste to be fairly average. Nothing was particularly memorable, and I didn't feel it justified the price. The restaurant itself was clean, the ambience was pleasant, and the staff was courteous. The biggest downside for me was being handed the bill while we were still eating. At an unlimited buffet where you're paying a fixed price, it made the experience feel rushed and took away from the relaxed dining atmosphere. Overall, it's an okay spot if you're specifically looking for an unlimited South Indian buffet, but for $25 per person, I expected a more memorable meal and a better dining experience.

So I often go to new Idli Spots over the weekend to try the best, and then I share pictures on social media. Because of this, a friend reached out telling me she heard that Trupthi was the place that folks in the know visit. It's a iykyk type of place, and apparently the kind of place that other restaurant reviewers keep to themselves ‍. I don't know if all that's true but I had to try it. We went on a Sunday, and the place had a steady flow of traffic flowing in and out. The man next to us kept saying "superb, Maast (Hindi for best), and the like, exclaiming at the authenticity of the dosa and idli, and my anticipation was through the roof. We ordered the Special Trupthi Dosa, and added the filling (masala) to it. And I of course ordered Idli. Food was brought out super quick, and the Idli was soooo soft. Just as it should be! The sambar that was served with, it was interesting. There's usually a lot of vegetables in Sambar- like carrots, drumsticks, etc. I don't eat them, and I'm more interested in the soup around the veggies to dip into. Usually there's more soup than veggies. This was a more solids based sambar, so I had to dig for the soupiness to dip into. That wasn't my favorite experience, but I'll say I am likely an outlier. My husband loves to eat the veggies and drumsticks. The dosa was so good, and had a kick to it. This was definitely a superior dosa than a lot of places I tried! I also did a to-go order of a Vada for my husband, and he said he loved it more than any place he's tried yet. I can't wait to take him with me the next time I go.
