I love this place! I would always come here for breakfast and it was so good and such good portions for such a good price. They took whatever you wanted and how it went and how you wanted it to be cooked into how they give it to you. Such as I like my hashbrowns to be like really crispy and brown and toasted instead of just kind of floppy and they would always come out perfect. My mom would always want her scrambled eggs, scrambled really, really, really dry, which is messed up yes, but they always did it exactly how she wanted it. I always get the biscuits and gravy, without the sausage. And it always came out amazing. The atmosphere and ambience is so amazing. You can sit pretty much with anybody there and you'll have a great conversation and you'll meet a lot of really nice farmers and police officers and firefighters and just a lot of good locals that are up in the morning. read more

This restaurant has been on my list for a while now and we finally got to try it. We had brunch here a few weeks back and it was a nice experience. It took a while to get a waitress to come take our order, but that's really my only complaint, and they were really busy, so it's understandable. I had to eat quickly and leave for an appointment, so I was in a hurry to order. We ended up ordering as quickly as we could and the food came out a few minutes before I had to leave. I took a few bites of my Ultimate omelet and grits and they were great. I had my husband grab my food to go and ate it later after my appointment. It warmed up well at home and was still great to eat (and I'm not a fan of leftovers at all, so that's saying something. My husband and son went again a few weeks later and grabbed my food to go. They were off work and school, but I had to work, so I ate my food at home. It was just as good as the first time. No complaints here. This is a really popular and busy restaurant. Waitresses are friendly too. We like this place and will definitely return. read more

I am giving the cafe three stars because the server was polite, hard working and did her best to fix the issues. I ordered the hot roast beef. It was lukewarm and very salty. My husband's sandwich came on a bun that was burned black on both sides. I can't figure out why the kitchen would put good food on a very burned bun. It was our first visit and I'm sure our last. A wonderful taste of Americana home cooking. Love this mom & pop cafe with homemade desserts. The staff is as sweet as can be. The parking lot full and the greeting friendly. The food plentiful and tasty. We ordered the breakfast special of chicken fried steak with gravy, hash browns, eggs, toast and coffee (all of this for under $10. I love this place! I've lived in Nixa 13 years but only recently tried this place out for breakfast. They serve breakfast and lunch and offer daily specials and from scratch desserts. The coffee is hot, biscuits are homemade, bacon is crispy and the eggs cooked to order. This isn't a high end avocado toast destination - it is a local cafe filled to the brim with regulars. The server was quite nice and attentive. We had two eggs with hash browns, bacon and biscuits and gravy. I feel like the gravy needed more sausage but otherwise it tasted very good. Prices were reasonable and we didn't have to wait for a table. Three of us came around 9 am on Thursday morning. The food came out much quicker than I expected. It's kind of hidden off the road but the signs point you to the way in. There aren't a lot of mom and pop breakfast choices around here so I would for sure patronize this restaurant if I lived here. read more

This place does not disappoint....if your looking for a breakfast gem this is it. We love to come here on Saturday mornings. This place is always packed so expect to wait for a table. I always get an omelette , my husband always gets the chicken fried chicken and they make special little pancakes for the kiddos. The atmosphere isn't the greatest but if you go in expecting the typical auction cafe, it's no big deal. The manager is so sweet and the waitress is always on her game.
