Walked in on a friday evening & sat at the bar (no wait). The bartender was friendly & attentive. We ordered tacos- Fish & al pastor. Both were tasty. Liked the kick of the sauce on the fish tacos. Service was great. Everyone seemed happy, smiling & chatting with us. The food is good but I think its a but pricy for what it is. Will go back when warmer out & check out the outdoor area. Seems like a good place to chill & sip on a margarita

My daughter suggested here for our Friday night dinner. She's been before and raved about the food. We arrived and it's a neat eclectic decorated space. We were greeted and seated immediately. We perused the menu and ordered. We had the crab ceviche, and. guacamole for starters. Both were fresh and delish (no pics). We decided to share mains and ordered the fish tacos and chicken quesadilla with mile sauce. It didnt take long for the mains to arrive. On first glance every thing looked perfect. My daughter found a long dark hair in one of the tacos. The waitress retrieves them and said she would cover them. The quesadilla was good but the amount of chicken was minuscule. The second set of tacos arrive and the were delish. We ask for the check and instead of "covering" the tacos she charged half price. Great service means that when something like that happens the manager comes over and definitely you're not charged for the item. Do better. I probably won't return.

I didn't like the old Nixta so I didn't have high expectations when I came in. I also did not realize the new location is right next to Steve's hotdog and the fountain on Locust. The restaurant itself is really cute, has a small outside patio. The food at this restaurant it was amazing. Every little thing just tasted so good. I wasn't in the mood to drink so I got a watermelon refresher. For dinner, We started with splitting guacamole, the tostada and shrimp ceviche. All were really good. We also ordered the octopus and the empanada. Again all delicious and flavorful. For dessert, we split the flan, and it was probably the best flan I have ever had. Service was ok. Waitress was pleasant but took forever to get our check. They also billed us for salsa, which we didn't order, but she quickly took that off for us. I will def go back again, specially for the flan. Also make sure you notice, a service charge is already added to your check

So happy to have finally made my way to Nixta. I had never been and always heard really great things. Its new location on in Delmar Maker District is really inviting. It's decorated intricately and has a cozy vibe to it while being an open space. Our server was super awesome and attentive, she was a pleasure to chat with! To start, I had a spicy margarita which was great. They have a variety of cocktails and beers to choose from, and also have tequila flights. We also had the shrimp ceviche and it was so fresh, it was probably my favorite thing that we had! I would have gotten that to myself for my full meal. The pickled red onion really brought everything together. I had the carne asada signature tacos. They were good, but the onion and salsa verde really made them delicious. I tried my friends chorizo quesadilla which was amaaaaazing and super big! We also got the street corn, which wasn't bad either. I prefer a bit thicker sauce. Overall it was delicious and I'd return, especially to get the ceviche!

Ben Poremba does it again at Nixta, and let me just say, the scallop tostada is absolutely to die for. Seriously, order four of them--you'll thank me later. I also had the Baja fish tacos, which are everything you'd want in a taco and more. The highest of honors #stlouispescatarianapproved Ben has this way of changing neighborhoods for the better, and we love him for that.

Nixta met my extremely high expectations. I am so glad Ben Poremba has so many unique concepts in STL, all the restaurants add so much to the STL food scene. Tried: for drinks, veinte e ocho, pisco sour. For food, al pastor taco, crab ceviche, octopus, tamale Loved: the crab ceviche was fantastic - will definitely try more ceviche next time as well. The tacos were unique - not traditional al pastor, but still really fantastic Both drinks were top notch, I would have both again The service was great and we loved the design and raw bar - such a nice spot! Liked: the octopus was okay - it seemed like a small portion for what we got

Very good drinks! Ambiance is definitely the best part about this place. I love the food but wish the tacos were cheaper.

I was really excited to visit the new Nixta and it was pretty nice . Gorgeous ambience and decor . Lots of parking . Good service . Few things : they don't have the mezcal margarita that they used to have at the old location. It tasted different . We got the chips and salsa and the bowl was so tiny/narrow that there was no way to dip the chips in the salsa. Scallops aguachile was pretty tasty and so were the Al pastor tacos and the flan . The fish main was okay per my spouse . Nixta was a leader in intense flavors and they seem to be holding back a bit. Just a personal opinion . Nothing bad , but not stellar !

I've been wanting to check out the new Nixta that recently reopened in Delmar Maker District. We finally dined here on Tuesday night. It's a gorgeous restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I'm obsessed with Nixta's interior design, from selecting the perfect tables/chairs to creating a vibrant, Instagrammable dining space with inviting atmosphere. They also played very very good music. It definitely made my night more enjoyable. I was craving for seafood, and Nixta definitely delivered. We ordered guacamole, Baja cod tacos, mixto ceviche, tamales, and churros. For me, the real winner at Nixta would be the mixto Mexican ceviche. It's a perfect balance of acidity, heat, and freshness. Guacamole was heavenly good. The cod in Baja tacos was crispy fried but lacking of taste, and texture. Service was friendly and attentive. Jonathan, the manager also brought out gelato for my son. He was so kind and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience at Nixta. We loved it and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

My girlfriends and I had such a great time checking out this 'new' restaurant! We certainly miss the old but love how spacious and bright the new venue is! We loved the tacos, tamales and tostadas. The ceviche is beautifully presented and so delicious. We had us such great service too! Can't wait to come back!

We had dinner here this evening and it was amazing. The atmosphere and ambiance are a great vibe. The food is delicious. We had the Crab Ceviche. The tamale and the sea bass. All highly recommended! A++ We will definitely be back!!

A re-opened concept from Ben Poremba that serves a more elevated take on Mexican cuisine. The guacamole is a must-order to start with. It was lowkey addicting. The tacos also held their own. I was actually a fan of the sweet savoriness in the Al pastor and the Baja tacos were solid, albeit a tad dry for both. The quesadilla is a hard pass. Bland, flavorless, and something you can make at home. The octopus.. was good but it didn't have enough going on aside from the mole sauce to be memorable. Flan, also, good but forgettable. Overall, I expected a bit more from Nixta. I'm a big fan of their new space, but the food just didn't really do anything for me. Favorite dishes: Guacamole, Al pastor

What a spot! Nixta decor is on point (like all of their restaurants). The atmosphere is so chic and fun at the same time. Guac, chicken quesadilla, and street corn were 10/10. The only reason for not 5 stars is because the margaritas were just ok- they had a special holiday Marg that was $20 and tasted like cough syrup. Service was amazing and Ben even stopped by for a picture!

The best tamale I've ever put in my mouth!

I particularly like how the menu has illustrations of the cocktails so you know how they are served. Plus everything is seasonal! For food, I give it a 4/5. For the table, we ordered chicken wings, onion rings and green chile cheeseburger and that burger was highly recommended. For my cocktail, I ordered a peach bite. Food came out at a decent time and it didn't really hit the spot. The wings weren't bad. I like the tangy taste of the sauce they are tossed in but i did not like dressing on the side. It's their green goddess which was not good to us. My husband did not like his burger at all. However the onion rings were a hit. My Peach bite was wonderful. Very cute ice block branded but not a lot of cocktail in the glass. Maybe I would return with friends knowing what not to order but it's a definite no for my husband.

The bouncer was super nice and he actually walked me all the way in. our waitress was also very nice and attentive. It was not busy when we were there and we had reservations for a group of six, which is apparently the most you can have on a reservation. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and everyone got a variety of drinks from the cocktail menu. I got their version of the whiskey sour with the cherry froth on top and it was so good. The waitress said it is the most popular and I can see why I really enjoyed it and would've ordered more if it wasn't so expensive for one drink the table, got a variety of the small bites such as the cheese and the Barada. We showed up without a reservation, which I wouldn't necessarily recommend. We were initially told the wait would probably be around an hour and a half, so reservations are definitely a good idea. Somehow, we got super lucky and received a text that they were ready for us only about 10 or 15 minutes later. We ended up sitting at the bar, which honestly made the experience even better. If you enjoy watching bartenders work their magic, I highly recommend sitting there if you get the chance. The cocktails here are unlike anything we've had before, and it was so much fun watching all the different drinks being made and seeing the creativity that goes into each one. Our bartender, John, was amazing. He was incredibly personable, answered all of our questions, and was genuinely enjoyable to talk to throughout the evening. Between the two of us, we tried four cocktails. I started with the Linea Uno and asked John if he could make it less bitter after the woman sitting next to me mentioned that was an option. It was delicious, although I apparently didn't pay enough attention to the menu when ordering because it was tequila-based, and tequila normally isn't my first choice. The Trade Winds was one of the coolest drinks of the night, made with clarified rum, apricot, and coconut and topped with mango air. The mango air literally looked like bubbles but smelled like mango. Such a unique presentation, and the drink itself was really enjoyable. My husband tried the New York Whiskey Sour, made with clarified whiskey, yuzu, tart cherry, and black lime cordial with a red wine foam. Again, the presentation was beautiful, and it tasted just as good as it looked. My personal favorite was Ankra's Passion Fruit Martini, made with vodka, vanilla, passion fruit, lime, and bubbles. It came with a small glass of champagne on the side, which was a really nice touch. John mentioned that I could drink the champagne separately or add it to the martini as I went. I ended up pouring some into the cocktail, and for me, it balanced out the sweetness of the passion fruit perfectly. The entire speakeasy experience was just fun, from trying to find the entrance to making our way inside and finally settling in at the bar. We took plenty of pictures and videos along the way, but I'm intentionally not posting most of them because I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone visiting for the first time. I will share a picture of the red light you need to look for at The Foundry since we initially had a little trouble figuring out where to go, along with some photos of our drinks. The rest of the journey inside is something I think you should experience for yourself. Creative cocktails, beautiful presentations, a genuinely fun atmosphere, and fantastic service from John made this an easy five-star experience for us. If you're visiting The Foundry and enjoy unique cocktails and hidden speakeasies, None of the Above is absolutely worth finding. Just learn from us and make a reservation. We got very lucky!
