On top of the extensiveness of the alterations, the fabric of my dress is incredibly delicate and intricate, so I'm sure it was a challenge to work with. Tina and the other staff here are some of the nicest people. She said that they put love into their work, and both my parents and I could not have agreed more. They were kind and attentive and you can tell how much care they put into their work both during measurements and their masterful sewing. Beyond just doing the alterations, Tina made sure my mom and I felt comfortable putting up the bustle for my dress and teaching me how to sit in a chair without pulling on it. Every detail was thought of. We were incredibly impressed. Their work is actual magic! One appointment for measurements and one appointment to try it on and it was an absolute perfect fit. I will absolutely be coming back for any clothing that I need altered in the future.

Took the dress in, had everything measured and pinned, and was excited to see what they could do. After two weeks, I returned and the dress was sewn a little too tight, so they rechecked and did a second alteration with no issues. The final price was a little higher due to the beading, but they were friendly and did the job beautifully. I adore my dress!

This is a family run place, and everyone there is so kind, professional, and helpful. They took such good care of my gown and after the two fittings my gown fit PERFECTLY :) At my last fitting I also brought my after party dress which I needed altered due to some weight loss, and they were able to do so and it also fit perfectly afterward. The bustle worked perfectly, and they took videos for my MOH and made sure the process would be easy for her by placing safety pins on the underside as it was a fairly complicated bustle. Make sure you make an appointment as they are busy, but despite being very busy their communication is excellent and they work with you one on one and ensure you are happy throughout the whole process.

I was quoted $100 for just the hem initially, but they suggested I take it in as well to make sure it stayed up throughout the day. I'd 1000% recommend them for your alterations.

Sheila was fantastically friendly! She really knew what she was talking about when I was at my initial fitting and we were discussing what needed to get done. My dress was a little too long, and the zipper in the back wouldn't zip up the top 2 inches. A hem, lowering the zipper, and adding a little hook and eye cost about $103. You have to pay when you drop off your dress also (just an FYI). I did come a little close to the event asking for alterations. I dropped the dress off on April 10th (the wedding was April 19th and I was ok picking up the dress the day before if I had to because Sheila's reviews made me confident in her abilities). She said she could have it done in a week for me since these were "the easiest alterations" that she has been requested to do all week so I really wasn't worried. Here is where my hardships began... Fast forward to April 17th, the agreed upon date that I would pick up the dress. I walked into her beautiful store, and she looks extremely surprised to see me. She asked me which dress was mine, and then she explained that she actually didn't even start the alterations because she didn't properly put it in the system. Then she also explains to me that that she should probably hire an assistant. She reassured me that my alterations will be done by the following day (which I'm confused why she said it would take a week if she could do them so quickly.. but she seemed extremely busy so I get that there are other people who need their alterations before me). My anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF at this point because I'm worried that I won't have a dress for the wedding that I am the maid of honor for. Again, probably my fault for coming 9 days before the wedding needing some alterations on a dress that didn't fit me too great. I don't think the alterations were too difficult though.. I come the following day, and my dress is ready. Sheila is doing a great job at juggling the 3 customers she has in the store at the time. She gives me my dress, and I try it on. The hem is great, but the zipper issue... I'm sorry to say this.. was NOT at all what I thought it would be. I think my roommate could have done a better job than this. Like even if the zipper was lowered just slightly below the waistband instead of on it like in the picture, it could've looked much better. I can definitely tell she was rushing. But the lack of cleaning up the threads just made me so uneasy about the quality of work I was receiving. She did not offer me a discount and was happy to send me on my way like this. I didn't think it was too bad in the moment until I took a closer look when I got home. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to figure out a different dress situation. I was asked several times during the wedding if my zipper broke on me :( I had to explain that it's not broken and that these were the alterations made on my dress. Overall, I think Sheila's customer service was superb, and I think she's very knowledgeable which is why this isn't a 1 star review! Do I think she has the capacity for new customers? Absolutely not. Did I feel taken care of as a customer? Absolutely not. Will I come back? Absolutely not. Too stressful for me. But I'm sure she's really good at keeping up with her current clientele!

I dropped my dress off first week of February and 2 weeks later I came to pick it up and it wasn't ready for another few hours. The total for getting my dress hemmed was $80. It was a silk dress, not anything super thick or crazy. I also dry clean my work blazer, which costs about $20 and takes a week to get done. Another place I use to go to on Colonial only charges $8 for dry cleaning. The prices here are definitely higher than the average, almost double. I pay for the convenience because I am walking distance from the tailor, but if you are looking for average prices I would recommend another place.

I could get the dress zipped half way up and asked for them to remove the top part of the zipper and replace it with a corset so the dress would fit. The corset matched the dress material absolutely perfectly, none of the beading was messed up, and the turn around time was quick !!! I cannot recommend the seamstress enough , I have come a few times to hem pants or smaller materials but this dress was very impressive and had to share!

After a few months, I called again and made an appointment for not only my wedding dress to be altered and cut but also two bridesmaids dress to be altered. They did a wonderful job on all three dresses. I had to provide them with more direction with my bridal dress on the look I was going for but after them altering it again it turned out great. The service was quick, the ladies joked around with me as they discovered my two bridesmaids dress was going to be work one week apart. Lol.
