I usually get alkaline water in gallon containers at Lazy Acres, but their alkaline and osmosis water dispenser hasn't been working well lately. NK Drinking Water has been here for as long as I've lived here, but never really thought to stop here until recently. Alkaline water is $1 a gallon, which is the same at Lazy Acres. Purified water is .35 cents for a gallon. The alkaline water here tastes just as good as other places too. CASH ONLY! This place is usually busy every time I pass by. I've never had to get water refilled before but I'm so happy I found an awesome place that's local to me now that I do. NK drinking water is located in a residential part of Long Beach, i feel Iike if you don't pay attention you can definitely drive past it (I did). It has a few parking spots on the premises, maybe like 4 total but street parking all around it. NK is a small family owned business and the owners are so nice and helpful. On my first visit the lady owner helped me pick out a new 5 gallon jug and priced them all for me. She helped me wash it, and filled it for me. On my second visit she was on the phone but I already knew the drill so I rinsed my own jug and filled it myself :) Once your jug or jugs are filled they do have a cart that you may use to transport them back and forth to your car. I haven't compared prices to other locations but I feel like NK is pretty reasonable at $1.50 for a 5 gallon purified and $5.00 for a 5 gallon Alkaline, the smaller amounts were less in cost. Not bad, to say the least. Good in what they do. Thrifty ice cream available for purchase. Price wise, 5 gallon = 1.50$. For their regular purified water. They also have alkaline water, I believe it's 3$ for 5 gallon. They don't really pick up phones from what I've experienced. It's a cash only business. NK Drinking water has been a vital part of the community for the past 2 decades. Families in and out of the area drive up to NK with their empty water gallons and fill up for a week or two having peace of mind that the water they consume has been filtered and is purified and clean. Very recently, NK has made Alkaline water available. It sells for $1 per gallon as opposed to .20 cents per gallon for regular filtered water. The owners are kind, sweet people that help you haul your gallons into a cart and bring them out to your car. NK is family owned and operated, and they have watched neighborhood kids grow and have kids of their own. They scooter down to the water store to buy a bag of chips or some ice cream. Remarkably, a scoop of ice cream has been a single US dollar for as long as I can remember. We were drinking water from here for the last two years and as of recent their water changed in taste. Not sure if it had anything to do with their recent construction but the water we got has been going to the dogs because it left a weird taste in our mouth. Might give it a few months until they figure what happened out, maybe the construction messed with their filtration system. Pretty bummed, they were close and really tasty...but they have some work to do to get back to their excellent-self. read more

My husband and I went here to buy a base and jugs for our home. We walked in and we were not Acknowledged. When my husband tried to ask questions about their bases that were for sale he was ignored. There was an older man sweeping the floor I watched him blow his nose into his hand and wipe it straight onto his pants. The older woman who was working there was coughing as she walked thought the store without covering her mouth. This place was extremely risky with the possibility of spreading germs. This place is such a good find. I stumbled across this location after my previous water store continued to never open at their 10am opening time. The gentleman that runs this place is very helpful. I was greeted when I walked in and he even took my water jug and rinsed it and then proceeded to fill my water. He was very helpful and the store is very clean. They open on time and even give you a cart to take your water to your vehicle. There's about 3-4 parking spaces on the lot as well. This is my new water store for sure. read more
