I found this bistro from a review reel on instagram about a month ago. The aesthetic itself drew me in. It's even better when you get there. There are so many seating options! We will likely sit in a different area every time we visit. This particular time we were in the center right in front of the live music, it was perfect & we visited around 9:30pm on a Friday night. The lights were dim and the music wasn't overbearing to our conversation. The food was 10/10. I had honey glazed salmon and my husband had the steak (forgot the exact name of the dish naturally). Decided to try this place on a Thursday evening. The ambience is wonderful, inviting, and perfect for a meal out. While we unfortunately had to leave before the live music started, I learned they host performances every Thursday through Saturday, and I'm already planning to return specifically to catch a show during dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. As for the food, both dishes we tried were excellent: Steak al Sur: This was a standout. The thin-cut beef flap steak was flavorful, perfectly complemented by the jalapeño-garlic butter and roasted salsa. It also came with a delicious carnitas enchilada verde and a hearty serving of casamiento (black beans and rice). Steak al Norte: Also a great choice, featuring tender beef flap steak topped with a rich garlic cream sauce. It was served with garlic mashed potatoes, herb olive oil, and perfectly sautéed broccolini and seasonal veggies. This was so delicious. We tried this restaurant when someone else recommended it. It was impressive for the first 10 minutes. We were greeted and seated quickly. A very kind young man came over to take our order for drinks and appetizers. He said our server was very busy but wanted us to get orders in. HE WAS RIGHT! It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and wings. After that it was all down hill. Our server took another 30 minutes to take our food order AFTER the kind young man had just left from taking our order. The chicken wings, Margarita, and beer were delicious. The dinner was average, I had a chicken sandwich and it was blah, and the fries were warm at best. My friend had spicy shrimp fried rice. The shrimp will go home for tomorrow's breakfast. It took another 30 minutes to have the kind young man ask if we were ready for the bill and a box for the shrimp. 5 minutes later, our server shows up. What's so strange is she was super sweet but so very disconnected from our needs. We said we would return and sit at the bar. It seemed they had better service. But we won't order meals because the $80 would be wasted. It's a chill vibe and had a nice decor. I wouldn't recommend sitting in a booth where the server ignores you. read more

Came here for my birthday and to check the restaurant out after a friend recommended it, and I'm so glad we did! First, we ordered the ceviche since it's one of their popular dishes. It can be spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to ask your server to make it mild or leave the spice out completely. We ordered ours with no spice, and it was very good! My mom and I split a Smashburger, which was more than enough food for me. The burger was delicious, juicy, and moist. The atmosphere here is great! It's fun, lively, and they even have music playing, which really adds to the experience. Since it was my birthday, they brought me a flan with a sparkler. They charge $1 for it, which I'm assuming is for the sparkler, but it was such a nice little birthday touch. I would definitely come back again! One thing to keep in mind is that they fill up pretty quickly, so I recommend getting there early. They also do not take reservations on weekends. I will start off with the good part, the aesthetic was nice and calm. Very clean and spacious. My guest and I went for breakfast. The food was mediocre underseasoned, I ordered sliders my 1st guest ordered steak and eggs; they didn't like it( too dry and tough) 2nd guest ordered breakfast potatoes and chili Riano breakfast potatoes were dried out and lacked seasoning. They're always ready to serve up a satisfying meal in a beautiful setting. We especially love the two outdoor patios, which became our default meeting spot with friends to watch the World Cup games. I met my financial advisor here for happy hour since he recommended it. There's a small parking lot in front of the business and I was fortunate to secure a prime parking space. I arrived before him and grabbed a table around 4 pm on a Friday. I was happy to see that the entire intimate restaurant was open seating for happy hour, and the receptionist sat me at a booth immediately. Tip - If you prefer to dine alfresco there two exterior patios. There's a variety of mix drinks, bottle beer, and house wines discounted during happy hour, and they even offer their specialty drinks at $5.00 off their regular prices. In addition, there's a nice variety of HH food entrees that are served with generous portions We ordered sliders, salmon bites, chorizo nachos, and shrimp ceviche. Another five-star experience! This review is specifically for my experience hosting a large party (25+ guests) on their patio. The manager, Kelli, was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish. He created special menus for our event and was so accommodating with our requests to bring a cake, set up a bouquet bar, and decorate the space. The owner, Danny, was as kind as ever and checked in on us throughout the evening to make sure everything was going smoothly. Our server, Karla, was fantastic! Attentive, organized, and did an amazing job taking care of such a large group. As for the food, every single guest had something positive to say. Everyone commented on the generous portions, nice presentation, and incredible quality. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My group of friend we to Luna Bistro Cafe last night and wanted to share our experience. We opted to sit on the outside patio as it was a bit loud inside. The Spanish Shrimp and Mussel to start were wonderful but sadly did not get a picture. It goes well with the Guacamole and Chips. The Salmon Al pastor and it had great flavor. I loved the flavor of the blackened honey glaze salmon. The steak tacos were good, a little messy to eat and fell apart but full of good tasting ingredients. The Enchiladas is also delicious. We finished off the meal with the flan. I've never been one that loves flan but I couldn't stop eating it. The berries, nuts and glaze on the plate paired with the flan was delish. I definitely think this is a great spot, such a cool venue and great outdoor space. My only criticism was the service. It was very spotty. When you see your drinks sitting at the bar well for 10 minutes & then need to ask them and still need to wait ... it's also poor service when they bring two of three meals and we wait for the third for 10 more minutes still waiting also for our drinks...... also waiting for our ceviche. The restaurant itself gives off very much Tulum vibes! Very boho with lots of cute greenery plants! Really loved the aesthetics of the place! I have to write another review to talk about Luna Bistro's happy hour!!!! First as always, the ambiance, the cleanliness, the customer service is always excellent! Now let's talk about the food. The crispy fish tacos are fresh, crunchy and flavorful at a great price. The slaw on those tacos and the fish itself were perfection. The carnitas sliders with the soft bun and flavorful meat are a winner. The pork on the sliders are well seasoned and cooked to perfection without being wet or too dry. The edges of the meat have a slight crunch. DO NOT PASS UP THESE HAPPY HOUR MENU ITEMS!! We also tried the crunchy beef tacos. Well seasoned ground beef, cheese, fresh lettuce with the seared corn tortilla were delicious. They tasted like you were at someone's home eating mama's homemade tacos. My only complaint were the drinks. I am a light weight so one drink and I'm done. I ordered the Pineapple Paloma. I did not taste the liquor and it did not have a pineapple flavor. The best thing about my drink was the Tajin on the rim of the glass. My husband ordered the Blanca Paloma. It tasted like a light fruit water. Again , it was watered down. My hubby also ordered a margarita which surprisingly tasted a lot like the Blanca Paloma but you could tell it had a little more liquor. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. Finally made it to Luna! With no reservation on a Friday night, we were able to get a seat on the patio within minutes of arrival. This place transported me back to Tulum. The atmosphere felt like a vacation. The music, the drinks, the food, and the staff were all excellent. We ordered the salmon bites, Baja fish tacos with rice and beans and the seafood pasta. The salmon bites were good but just slightly dry/over cooked. The sauce on the side made them slightly better. The Baja tacos were amazing. The toppings (including the salsa on the side) were the perfect mix of savory, sweet, and spicy. The pasta had a good amount of protein/ seafood and great portion size for leftovers. I went on a Saturday evening so there was live music on the inside and a TV + music playing on the outdoor patio. Visited Luna twice while I was in Long Beach and a great spot for Happy Hour. Received excellent service from both Natalie and Carla during my two visits. The cocktails are nicely crafted, great for photos, but on the lighter side, as far as alcohol goes. I tried the Pineapple Paloma, Mezcalita, and Paloma Blanca. The Happy Hour food was incredible! I tried the Carnitas tacos and the Baja fish tacos and they were both exceptional. I had to take a few things off, due to an allergy, so you will also get pico, and salsa on top as well. I visited Luna Bistro with my sister for a much needed drink and yap session and we absolutely loved this place. We sat at the bar which immediately felt like we were transported to a luxurious beach front restaurant with beautiful decor and an amazing atmosphere. For drinks we tried: their seasonal spritz's - guava and berry lavender being our faves We also had their lemon drop martinis which were so delicious. For food we shared the following appetizers: shrimp and mussels, smashburger sliders and fried salmon pieces, everything was delicious and really yummy. The restaurant is lively and really stunning, we interacted with many of the restaurant staff and everyone was really charming and attentive. What bad is there to say about this place. The interior design take you to Tulum-esque atmosphere. I usually get the eggplant bites to start, I've had the eggplant burger too which comes with fries and I can never fully finish. Not a or of vegan options... Disclosure: The green sauce in soryrizo taquitos come with chicken broth. But the espresso martinis!!!! Banana creme one is my go to hands down. I dusky sit at the bar which is usually busy but I always prefer it. Or the high top tables so I can be close to the live music they have certain evenings. I am a big fan of their live music, (be sure to bring cash to tip them). The manager is great too! It was very nice and there was heat lamps that gave use an additional comfort and the view of the surrounding neighborhood was pleasant and peaceful. It's been a while since I was there so I don't remember the names of our dishes but I've included the pics and let me just say that the food was delicious and the icing on the cake was the delicious drinks we had afterwards. Wow! first, this place is so inconspicuous! It's in this lil plaza by Target next to a bagel shop and Ike's sandwiches but it feels like you're in a trendy spot in Miami. I tried the ceviche, chilaquiles carnitas and cinnamon French toast bites. All of this was so delicious, the ceviche had an Asian flavor to it which was so refreshing. The French toasts flavor was also very delicious. I usually don't like carnitas but man these carnitas were so flavorful and the chile verde reminded me of my grandmas recipe. 10/10 spot, perfect for a girls night. They also have a section for live music but I didn't get to experience that.
