I visited Luna Bistro with my sister for a much needed drink and yap session and we absolutely loved this place. We sat at the bar which immediately felt like we were transported to a luxurious beach front restaurant with beautiful decor and an amazing atmosphere. For drinks we tried: their seasonal spritz's - guava and berry lavender being our faves We also had their lemon drop martinis which were so delicious. For food we shared the following appetizers: shrimp and mussels, smashburger sliders and fried salmon pieces, everything was delicious and really yummy. The restaurant is lively and really stunning, we interacted with many of the restaurant staff and everyone was really charming and attentive. I would highly recommend for a date night, girls dinner, birthday dinner, etc because it really makes for a beautiful time.

The ambiance is nice - makes you feel like you are in Tulum. Plenty of parking .... Lots of seating including outdoor & pet friendly. They were doing their social media postings so lots of filming. Food is good . Happy hour menu is great, along with the lengthy hour 2-5:30!! The service is horrible! It's the second time we've had the same girl and she is slow. When you see your drinks sitting at the bar well for 10 minutes & then need to ask them and still need to wait ... it's also poor service when they bring two of three meals and we wait for the third for 10 more minutes still waiting also for our drinks...... also waiting for our ceviche. The restaurant was not busy nor was it crowded. Usually the waitress ask if you'd like anything else before happy hour ends but ours did not . Don't think this is a go back to place if we do we will ask not have her be our waitress.

The food was great especially for the price!! The vibes are nice and cozy/ cool. The server I had was super kind and helpful! The only downside is that my friend and I experienced sexual harassment by a staff at closing and there were two male bartenders that stood and said nothing to correct their coworker. It was honestly a pretty uncomfortable experience and after many attempts to redirect him he continued until we left. This was my first time at the restaurant and unfortunately I don't know if I can return.

New favorite spot. The ambiance is beautiful, with indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress, Natalie, was very friendly and attentive. The food was incredible and their salsa is so flavorful. My kids even boasted that the fries here remind them of McDonald's fries because they taste so good. My fish tacos were delicious. I also ordered the 'Flower Girl' cocktail, which was delicious and beautifully garnished with baby's breath flowers. Overall, my family and I had a great dining experience, and will return soon.

This review is for their brunch menu! Came here on a Saturday morning at 11am and it wasn't busy yet which was great because my friend and I got sat right away. The restaurant itself gives off very much Tulum vibes! Very boho with lots of cute greenery plants! Really loved the aesthetics of the place! I ordered the spam and egg fried rice and my friend got the chorizo and egg Benedict. Both plates delicious. Although I would have loved more spam with my fried rice. I'm Filipino and I love spam! lol..Overall I give the food 8/10! Definitely a good spot for a date or a brunch with the gals. Did see multiple groups of girls enjoying a few mimosas here and there! Place had good vibes. Staff were friendly. I would like to come for an evening dinner here and was told that sometimes they have live music! So I'll definitely return.

Food: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 20/10!!! This is a review for their happy hour experience, which was PHENOMENAL. The service was on point. The interior design is immaculate and makes you feel like you're transported to Tulum or another coastal Mexican city. And the food is a tad salty but overall incredible.

The atmosphere was really cute! The server was very nice The ceviche was delicious and spicy! I ordered the shrimp tacos and they had the best flavor! The tacos were a little bit spicy and cooked to perfection with the best salsa. I was impressed with the salad because it had cranberries and walnuts with a delicious vinaigrette. This is a great place to go to as a group or on a date!

I have to write another review to talk about Luna Bistro's happy hour!!!! First as always, the ambiance, the cleanliness, the customer service is always excellent! Now let's talk about the food. The crispy fish tacos are fresh, crunchy and flavorful at a great price. The slaw on those tacos and the fish itself were perfection. The carnitas sliders with the soft bun and flavorful meat are a winner. The pork on the sliders are well seasoned and cooked to perfection without being wet or too dry. The edges of the meat have a slight crunch. DO NOT PASS UP THESE HAPPY HOUR MENU ITEMS!! We also tried the crunchy beef tacos. Well seasoned ground beef, cheese, fresh lettuce with the seared corn tortilla were delicious. They tasted like you were at someone's home eating mama's homemade tacos. My only complaint were the drinks. I am a light weight so one drink and I'm done. I ordered the Pineapple Paloma. I did not taste the liquor and it did not have a pineapple flavor. The best thing about my drink was the Tajin on the rim of the glass. My husband ordered the Blanca Paloma. It tasted like a light fruit water. Again , it was watered down. My hubby also ordered a margarita which surprisingly tasted a lot like the Blanca Paloma but you could tell it had a little more liquor. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. I love this place and will be back for happy hour. I will just order a soft drink instead.

Finally made it to Luna! With no reservation on a Friday night, we were able to get a seat on the patio within minutes of arrival. It worked great for us as the inside was full, loud, and had a band playing. Outside was chill and enjoyable. A rather extensive menu made deciding what we wanted a bit tough. In the end, we were happy with our choices and eager to explore more the menu. Presentation of all items (both food and drinks) were fantastic! Luckily flavor matched. Cool vibe, both inside and out, providing an ideal dining experience depending on your preference.

I've been here a few times and it is always a vibe! Wide selection on the menu with tasty food and cocktails. Very nice indoor and patio space. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. Good service. Came here on a Thursday evening and enjoyed the live music! Definitely a new go-to if I'm in the area. Even just for a drink at the bar!

This place transported me back to Tulum. The atmosphere felt like a vacation. The music, the drinks, the food, and the staff were all excellent. We ordered the salmon bites, Baja fish tacos with rice and beans and the seafood pasta. The salmon bites were good but just slightly dry/over cooked. The sauce on the side made them slightly better. The Baja tacos were amazing. The toppings (including the salsa on the side) were the perfect mix of savory, sweet, and spicy. The pasta had a good amount of protein/ seafood and great portion size for leftovers. I went on a Saturday evening so there was live music on the inside and a TV + music playing on the outdoor patio. This place offers great vibes and great food. I recommend it if you're in the Long Beach area. Try to make reservations ahead of time because it gets crowded at night.

Visited Luna twice while I was in Long Beach and a great spot for Happy Hour. Received excellent service from both Natalie and Carla during my two visits. The cocktails are nicely crafted, great for photos, but on the lighter side, as far as alcohol goes. I tried the Pineapple Paloma, Mezcalita, and Paloma Blanca. The Happy Hour food was incredible! I tried the Carnitas tacos and the Baja fish tacos and they were both exceptional. I had to take a few things off, due to an allergy, so you will also get pico, and salsa on top as well. I would love to try more items on their Happy Hour menu, as well as their regular menu. The space is open, inviting, and we sat outside for perfect afternoon experiences.

Definitely a hidden gem of sorts if you don't know about it. Amazing ambiance on the inside, great drinks, and what looks like some delicious food (I didn't try it this time). I'm really excited to come back to this place. At some point, the service was super friendly and fast, the drinks were good, and the ambiance was great! Drinks: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 4.33/5

This place is honestly a joke…read more We waited in line for almost 2 hours while security kept people outside for no reason -- and when we finally got in, there was so much open space inside. It wasn't even close to full. They're clearly holding people outside on purpose to create fake hype, which is honestly pretty messed up. You're telling me dozens of people are stuck waiting forever while there's plenty of room inside? It's giving manufactured crowd and poor management. To make it worse, they stopped serving drinks and turned the lights on at 1:15 AM, way earlier than literally any normal bar. So after wasting hours in line, you barely even get time inside. And it somehow gets worse -- at 1:35 AM they were literally kicking people out of the restroom. We weren't even allowed to finish or wash our hands before being rushed out. That's not just rude, it's straight up unhygienic and disrespectful. Overall, completely overhyped, disorganized, and not worth the wait at all. Don't fall for the line -- it's fake.

When I made the reservation, I was asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion. I said yes--it was my friend's birthday. When we arrived, our server acknowledged it by saying, "I hear we're celebrating a birthday," which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service went downhill from there. We waited quite a while before our server took our order, even though she attended to two nearby tables multiple times first. I couldn't help but notice that those tables appeared to receive more attentive service than we did. I don't know the reason, but it certainly left us feeling overlooked. We ordered three dishes to share, yet we rarely saw our server afterward. In fact, we had more interaction with the busser than with our server. After brunch, two dessert menus were silently dropped on our table by someone other than our server. Since the restaurant had asked about the birthday twice--once during the reservation and again upon arrival--it felt odd. It almost gave the impression they thought we were expecting a complimentary dessert, even though we never asked for one. We ordered a single dessert to share, and our server eventually brought it out, then returned moments later with a candle. I don't expect complimentary desserts or special treatment. My only suggestion is this: if a restaurant asks guests whether they're celebrating a special occasion, there should be some meaningful acknowledgment--or simply don't ask. Otherwise, it creates unnecessary expectations. More than anything, I felt disappointed for my friend, whose birthday brunch should have felt more welcoming and memorable. FOOD The meal itself was a mix of highs and lows. The standouts were the peaches and burrata and the blue oyster mushroom pizza--both were excellent. The baked eggs, however, missed the mark because the yolks were completely overcooked and solid. The burnt cheesecake was another disappointment. While Basque cheesecake should have a deeply caramelized, dark brown exterior, this one was so blackened that it tasted bitter. One helpful tip: mimosas are available even though they aren't listed on the menu. They cost $18 per glass. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant itself is beautiful. The modern design and patio-style seating create a bright, inviting space with a pleasant breeze on a nice day. Unfortunately, the inattentive service overshadowed what could have been a wonderful atmosphere. Would I return? No. There are too many restaurants that make guests feel genuinely welcomed, and I'd rather support those establishments.

We sat in the patio…read moresection; tables were nice light wood, and we were surrounded by vegetation, giving off a very farm to table vibe. The mocktails were refreshing and balanced!!I was so glad they weren't to sweet. We indulged in the Sierra Sunset, which came on a light up coaster showing off the sunset colors. And also the Lychee's & Cream, which was my favorite. I think it was the use of the kaffir yogurt that really balanced the mocktail and set it apart. The tapas we had were the Salmon Tartar, Patatas Bravas (add crispy Jamon), and Wagyu Empanadas. The citru notes in the salmon tartar really made this dish sing to me; bouncing off the creaminess of the avocado mouse and the richness of the salmon, then finishing with the crunch of the tostada. The Patatas Bravas were nice and crispy, and toped with a creamy aoil then a spicy Bravas sauce with added a nice spice and depth to the dish. However, adding the crispy Jamon is definitely the way to go if you order this dish!! Those Wagyu Empanadas were just the right ratio of meat to dough. Then those Manchego cheese cracker not only are a nice crunch, but also bring a nuttiness that balances the richness of the meat and that succulent mole sauce. Next was the burrata bowl, another favorite of mine. This must have been a whole burrata ball spread out and topped with cherry tomatoes an herbal basil sauce and crunchy kale chips. They even have us some tostada chips to dip in this delicious burrata bowl. They have a whole pallela section under the main dishes, so of course we had to try this out. We went with the Paella Negra; squid ink, gulf shrimp, clams, scallops and broccolini, and of course we added the Iberian ham. This was so decadent and delicious. Definitely recommend topping it off with a squeeze of the lemon they provide you with, it complements the dish. The corrners of the rice were nice and crispy, while the center remind fluffy. Shrimp were cooked to perfection, the dolops of aoli complemented the side ink rice. The addition of the Iberian ham really brought a smokey and salty addition to this dish. To end the night we decided to indulge in the desert trio, this included churros, an orange Mochi, torrija and ice cream. The orange Mochi was light and delicious and definitely and Instagram-able dish. But the one that stole the show for me, was the torrija. Something I had never had before, nice rich brioche style pastry filled with a passion fruit cream.

My husband had the Scottish salmon, and he cleaned his plate, the sweet potato hash w/ pancetta was yummy.. it enhanced the taste of the salmon. My sister in-law had the pan seared scallops, I also think that the side should be optional instead of rice and there was only a few pieces of the scallops. My brother his friend had the Wasabi crusted filet mignon, which they've enjoyed but also should have options for the sides, not everyone like mashed potato, the mushrooms was a bit salty, maybe better with shitake & asparagus.
