I have been going here on/off for @ 6 years for mani/peds. I typically make an appointment to help insure that I can get in on-time & with my regular technician. But have also done walk-ins and was accommodated in a timely manner. It's not a luxury salon but they get the job done and I have always been satisfied with the service they provide at a good, competitive price. Looks like there have been some mixed reviews in the past. But I have never had any issues with this salon or the service. So important to communicate clearly what you want done w/technician before service begins. If things aren't going as a customer would like, they need to communicate that to the nail tech so they can correct it or management can make it right. I recommend this salon. This nail salon is near my home so I've been there off and on the last 5 years. Usually when I go there I'm looking to relax and be pampered. However, some the times I feel like they are rushing me through an assembly line. Last time I was there I had 2 people working in my nails while getting a pedicure to get my services done faster. I still paid the full amount despite being there less than half the time. So, even though it's close to where I live I may start checking out other places. read more

When I need a pick-me-up while visiting my family in Minnesota this place is great. Incredibly friendly service, tons of color choices, and services for everyone. Great chairs, TVs to watch, and the place always seems to be at least half full. They're serious about comfort while you're here too. Always checking to make sure things are good. read more

I typically only go to this salon with my mom and I only get pedicures. Why do I only go here with my mom? Well, if she offers to treat me, this is where we go because she has coupons and it's a good meet-in-the-middle place for us. Why only pedicures? Because I'm particular about my hands and wasn't impressed the one time I gave them a shot. It could have been the technician I had. I don't know if the workers don't have a good place to go take a break but I feel like I always see one or two of the workers sitting in a pedicure chair watching a show or playing on their phone. It only bugs me if they aren't using headphones otherwise it's just something I notice and think it looks unprofessional but it doesn't totally ruin my experience. read more

Ugh. I came here after a conference to get my nails done and it was one of the worst experience I've had. I did a walk in for a gel manicure and to start off the woman heavily damaged my nails taking off the prior gel polish. I was not asked what shape I wanted my nail and after a rush job the polish ended up peeling off two days post appointment. I will never return here for a manicure after spending $30+ for gel. read more

This is my second time here with years in between visits only because it is a bit out of my way. It is a beautiful nail salon. Lots of staff and chairs. The massage chairs are wonderful and the massages the ladies give are to die for, I could do that all day long! Great pedicures. And prices are resonable, comparable to most salons. the service it was ok, nothing extraordinary but the problem is when you ask for a design, she did a totally different design on each of my toe nails and one of her hair fell on my nail and she didnt fixed, i know she noticed because she said " ohh " and kinda giggle, when she saw my toe nail but she keept working and I didnt noticed until I get home, the service is not worth it the money that they charge you. read more

Went there today for the first time and they didn't really seem to understand how I wanted to do my nails. They did a horrible job on my nails and I got them done in acrylic with just a basic white nail polish. But they did a great job on my sisters nails which she got a mani with gel polish. I would not recommend going back. read more

My girlfriends and I come her 5 times a year for each of our birthdays to get a group pedicure. We never actually get in on time but usually within 10 minutes or so. I make our appoimtment several days in advance as well. Well as I sit here now, I have waited 40 minutes and my friends are almost finished and I have not been started even. Not only that, but I am a regular customer here and get my nails done every 3 weeks. The real problem is that NOBODY even said anything about the fact that i was just sitting with my feet in cold water for 40 min. It wasn't until I said i was going to skip getting a pedi since my friends were just about finished that the manager just shrugged and said they would get to me shortly! I have been getting my nails and pedicures done with Nikki (owner) since 2005. I followed she and her husband from their former (and still operating) salon because she is the best!! I get pink/white oN my nails and gel on my toes. I travel often and sometimes have to go elsewhere and it is never the same. NK is clean, reliable, hospitable, professional. Very annoyed with my service. I went around a busy time and asked for a general manicure. Most of it went fine up until the painting portion. There was a part of the top of my nail that very clearly wasn't filed down at all, and the gal still painted over it. It was a large enough chip on top that I believe my manicure will be short lived unless I try to avoid using that finger so that the painted-over chip won't catch on anything. She also didn't take off the excess paint from my fingers, so I was still left with paint on my fingertips. Lastly, when it came time to dry, she brought me to a dryer that looked like the UV lamps were broken at. I think she suspected something too because she had flipped the UV switch on and off a few times confused before she left to help the next costumer. After I had left and gotten into my car, I noticed that my finger must have hit something because both my thumb and finger were ruined. I've never sat at a UV dryer for three cycles (approximately 15 minutes) and had my fingers even remotely still wet enough to smudge, so I was very very frustrated with my overall experience. read more

If I could rate then negative 0 i would. The day before my wedding I went there. Lets start with eyebrows. Did not match, not even close. I realize its not easy to do a perfect match but this not even close. My daughter was fixing it at 10;00 pm the night before the wedding. I didn't have the heart to tell her My fingertips were hurting. Don't get me wrong they were beautiful. Beautifully painful. The day after my wedding i spent my day soaking in acetone to remove the nails for over 6 hours. My fingers were infected with open sores and swollen to the knuckles. So you can only imagine how horrible that was. I was crying for hours and drinking straight alcohol to kill the pain. Any one that knows me knows I do not drink!!!! When I went to salon to tell them all they said was I must have been allergic. I have had nails over 200 hundred times and never ever had this happen. I am posting this review because I believe the power is in reviews. I should also mention while I was there a lady sat a table next to me complaining about her nails. Stupid me paid no attention to what she was saying really. I have a friend who works in same strip center and when I mentioned it to her today she told me they had been sited for unsanitary conditions prior. So if I can warn people about them, that is my goal. They refused to refund money. No surprise there!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This is my go-to nail place. I bring my mom and my daughter with me and they love it as well. Very nice people who do a very good job. I know price is always subjective but a gel manicure is $23 (with coupon) and pedicure is $17 (with coupon). I think these prices qualify as inexpensive. Great massage chairs, too. I moved south of the river and had trouble finding a nail place that would do a good job and had decent prices. Now I work in Edina, so I am glad to be back at NK Spa Nails. My sister an I just went here today for the first time and both got the basic pedicures. We both got designs on our big toes, she got a watermelon and I got small dots. I will say that the workers were polite and even though it took a couple times of explaining how my sister wanted her nails they came out great, or at least until we got home. We noticed that from the drive home a part of her polish had chipped off. We went back and they fixed it as fast as possible. Later I realized that mine too had been chipped and the dots are smudged. It's not worth it for me to drive back and get it fixed. For how basic the design on my toes was and for both of ours to chip within an hour or two its not worth $35 per person.
