I ordered pan fried vegetable dumplings and received pork dumplings. I placed my order on grub hub, had them contact the restaurant about my order and was told that vegetable means there is still meat in it. Now last I checked I thought if it is advertised as "veggie" there would be no meat in it.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I do not eat meat ordered shrimp and broccoli with white rice the wrong order was delivered. They gave me shrimp and broccoli with pork fried rice. I called and tried to explain my order was incorrect and the owner advised to stop calling because she has other callers trying to order. (I only called to place my order .. then called to advise my order was incorrect) I went up to the restaurant and she then continued to state she wasn't providing the correct order or refunding the money. She contacted the police and the officer advised he was unable to make her provide a refund or make a new order. disappointed

Still one of my favorite Chinese places around. Delicious love trying out new dishes. They have great noodles dishes as well as traditional dishes and sushi.

I ordered a sushi sampler, got a warm sashimi sampler, no thanks

My order took longer than expected. I ordered a sushi sampler and received a warm sashimi sampler. The restaurant was then rude on the phone when contacted to correct or credit my order. Never again, I like their food but the complete lack of customer service was enough for me to never order again.

My first run at Number 1 Asian Bistro and I came away satisfied and even a little nostalgic. This place felt like a trip to 1980 on my lunch break. Period furniture, dated mural of waterfalls and cranes, a carpet that was so soiled that I hesitated to rest my shoes on it, and staff doing their prep work right out in the dining room. It all made some kind of sense, and the hostess/owner had an offhand humor that made me feel comfortable. Although there is a sushi area, this place is fundamentally a traditional Chinese/American house where Cantonese dishes are well made, and the kitchen is good enough to make a decent attempt at Thai and Japanese, but you wouldn't mistake any of those things as authentic. The Hot & Sour Soup was thick, vinegary, and loaded with Mushrooms, Tofu, and Sprouts. It was good. The atmosphere put me back to my early years when I still enjoyed Cantonese and Fuzhounese food, so on impulse I ordered Pork Egg Foo Young, complete with that gloopy brown sauce. It was also quite good, and completed the time warp sensation I had been experiencing since entry. Considering all the really poor imitations of Sino-American food in the area, it was a pleasure to step into the past, and have a meal I had not tasted in a long time. Now I know where to go when only old fashioned Sunday night takeout will do.

I work in area and frequent this place for lunch. If bored with the Chinese buffet nearby, I'd recommend the # 1. Besides the usual, I appreciate the other dishes on menu, like Thai basil, mango chicken, and my personal favorite: creaky chicken, which is crispy white meat in a unique tangy sauce with shredded ginger. Dine-in lunch specials include a soup and spring roll; take-out is spring roll and soda can. Keep in mind you won't be impressed with decor, #1 still has that 1970's Chinese restaurant retro, complete with red linen tablecloths, the gigantic landscape painting and that slightly irritating traditional Chinese string music. They also have Japanese / sushi too, but that's not really my speed, especially in a Chinese place, so I have not tried it.

I'm telling you this quaint Asian-American place is absolutely the best one in the area!! My family recently moved to Hamilton, so we were stuck in a tight spot when hungry and craving Chinese but wary about the Trenton joints we already knew were less than great. My mom recommended delivery from No. 1 Asian Bistro because they had recently delivered to her work place.I My favorite is the Honey Walnut chicken, which no other Chinese place in the area seems to have on the menu! I was soo excited to see they offered my fave. And it did not disappoint!! (see picture, my third time ordering from them) the portion is very good for the price, about $9. And even after sharing with my sister I always have lots left over. My dad is picky about his spare ribs and pork fried rice. After recieving disappointing pale rice and only a few bits of pork, he knew he couldn't order from the same local shop. With Asian bistros rice, he was happy to see hefty red spare ribs, perfectly flavored, and yellow rice with ample pork and seasonings. Great place to order from! You can even order and pay online! So convenient.

This place is small and intimate with only 8 sushi bar seats and 8 table seats. A great vibe and ambiance to watch your sushi chef expertly prepare your meal. Unfortunately, a couple decided to bring their small children that were talking very loudly and had occasional screams. There is a place and time to bring your kids dining and fine dining isn't one of them. Our favorite appetizer was the chanwanmushi! They packed so much umami into such a small dish and the texture of the egg was like silken tofu. My husbands favorite piece of nigiri was the otoro as the tuna was so fatty and just melted in your mouth. Mine was the uni spoon which was a small dish of uni, ikura, caviar, and rice. The hand rolls were a highlight too! After the 6 courses are done you're able to order ala carte and I'm so glad I got an ikura hand roll. Service is impeccable and everyone was very kind and thoughtful. Overall a great experience and an omakase spot we would come back to.

The place has a good atmosphere and really good food as well as expected when it comes to Hibachi. There is a nice fish tank near the bathrooms and a cool water fountain near the front too. As for service it is overall good as there are no complaints with it. The show is always fun to watch and enjoy before eating. When it comes to complaints just make sure to be careful with how you order when you go out for lunch not dinner. If you're not specific when you order that you want the lunch deal you might get charged for the dinner pricing instead which is obviously more than the lunch pricing. Yes, it's perfectly fine to make those loud slurping noises to show your appreciation for a great bowl of ramen. Here's what was ordered: - Signature Terakawa Ramen - 4.5/5 stars Boasted of rich, lovingly homemade pork bone soup with a good amount of sliced roast pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, ginger, scallions, and a jammy egg. The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else. I was told the have two locations: Philadelphia and the one we're dining at, Princeton Junction, NJ. Both locations serve homemade recipes from the Kumamoto region of Japan. If ramen is your love language, this place will absolutely speak to your soul.
