Miso soup I even did not eat it had no flavor . Of course there are not that many sushi places , so we had no choice . Meh. This review is only for the sushi which is nothing special. It's generic and basic and similar to the quality fish as the all you can eat places. I was leaning towards 2 stars but decided on 3 because my order was correct and the food wasn't bad per se. We ordered a medium sushi boat that consists of your choice of any 2 special rolls and 4 regular rolls. We also ordered the sushi and sashimi deluxe, a sweet potato roll, a cucumber and asparagus roll, and the triple spicy roll combo. The rolls were nothing special at all and actually quite small and inconsistent in the fish to rice ratio. The sashimi was fresh and the cuts were thick. The spicy rolls were filled with a lot of "crunch" which is really just panko breadcrumbs and I didn't care for them at all. The sweet potato roll was tempura style and was decent. Unfortunately, If you're in search of great sushi in central Jersey like me this is yet another place to skip. read more

These guys are still on Covid lockdown. No contact pick up, no dine in. That was fine with me, I was craving sushi and had wanted to try this place for some time. I ordered chicken lomein and the best choice roll to test the versatility of the kitchen. The sushi part was better. The lomein was ok, pale in color but a huge portion. The white meat chicken had a strange coating, a thin oily or fatty layer. I was debating if this was intentional or by mistake. The texture of the meat was fine, but I can't quite place what this was??? I actually ordered it so I could mix with asparagus I had just roasted, once combined and with chili oil added this was good. By itself I'd say it was bland. The specialty roll was better. This is a take on shrimp tempura roll with cucumber inside and Kani on top. I normally avoid fake crab but liked it on this roll. The rice was perfect and rolls held up easily. I'd get again or branch out to others. The shopping center has an odd layout, parking is in the rear and all other businesses here have back doors. But for best choice you have to walk around to the front. There are a few patio tables to eat your takeout. I think frequent shoppers just pull up to side of the business closer to the road. At this point I'm willing to say it's a decent choice but maybe not best choice? read more

This is one of my go to spots for Chinese takeout. My favorite dish is their general tso's chicken combo with the pork fried rice. I like to order it mild since I'm sensitive to spice and it is not spicy at all when ordered that way which is great. The chicken broccoli is also very good. The fried dumplings are too large and doughy for my liking so I skip them here. Over the last six months I would say the quality went down some and I have ordered less often. There have been times I've picked the phone up to order from here, but then remembered the general tso's chicken was old or overcooked the last few times so I didn't go through with ordering. I am hoping it gets better again very soon. They are very nice here and I have known them for over a decade. I'll still give them a try now and then! read more

Came here with my family recently and enjoyed the sushi. First, as mentioned by other reviewers, the parking situation is a little odd. You have to park at the back and enter in the front, and the pathing is a little weird (definitely not convenient for a stroller). The restaurant is quite small, with not a lot of tables. The guy who took our sushi order could have maybe been a bit friendlier, but not a big deal. Note to other parents - the restaurant does not have any high chairs available. We were OK with using our stroller because there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant at the time, but we would have felt a little self conscious about blocking other customers if they were present. Anyway, onto the sushi! It was priced affordably and not bad at all. Not the best sushi I've ever had or anything, but the rolls were quite large and I felt satisfied at the end of my meal. I would definitely order from here again but would probably get my food to-go as opposed to eating inside the restaurant. read more

We were in the area and we were looking for sushi. Stumbled upon this little hole in the wall area. I'm going to be honest, the place looks outdated and seemed like no one ate there but don't be fooled. There sushi was amazing! The rolls were bigger than usual and the taste was amazing. Very fresh and not fishy at all. As soon as we entered someone greeted us, served us and asked us what we wanted to drink. I would definitely come back if I am in the area. Absolutely amazing sushi! We ordered three rolls for two people and they were large and full of fish. The service was attentive and very fast. We also ordered spring rolls and they came out piping hot and delicious. We dined in and had no problem getting a table. It seems they do a lot of takeout orders (good to know for future). Absolutely disappointed. I've ordered food so many times from this place. I waited 2 hours for delivery and never got my food. When I called they said the driver went to the wrong place and he'll make a new one and be at my house in 20 minutes. This Asian fusion house is perfectly plausible pit stop for sushi in the Trenton area. The fish was fresh(ish) and the rolls were well constructed and reasonably tasty but not memorable - with décor that brings me back to those halcyon days of 1991 when sushi in Trenton was not even in my vocabulary. Definitely not a first date destination, but when I figure out when it's safe to bring someone you care about, I'll let you know. read more

General Tso "Chicken" more like GENERAL TSO BREAD!! I ordered General Tso Chicken with my coworkers and I am very disappointed w the meal. I started out w the 1st two bites noticing that each piece were kind of spongy. I figured it was breading. But then the more I ate it WAITING for a real piece of chicken, it never came. I cut open every piece to see wth is going on. Now, I can see like a piece here and there being made of bread, but literally EVERY PIECE WAS JUST COATED BREADING! I didn't even finish the dish. Im giving 2 stars bc the rice was ok and the sauce is good. But cmon, being cheap with the chicken is going a little too far. I am not ordering from this place again. I have never ordered from this restaurant until yesterday because I thought it was only sushi. I decided to stop in and look at a menu and was pleased to find they had non sushi choices. I was looking for Moo Shu and they had it. With Tax it was almost 13.00 but very good and is enough for two meals. It's probably one of the best pork moo shu I've had. Moo Shu tends to vary in flavor and prep more than other Asian dishes and sometimes you have to let it sit to the next day for the flavors to go through but this was wonderful immediately. I would definitely buy from them again Yes, the people who take orders could be more friendly but I don't really care as long as my takeout is good. They have two tables and a few chairs but they are set up more for takeout than dine in. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because I only tried one menu item. Hopefully I'll have the same wonderful experience when I return. read more

This is our go to Chinese food restaurant but the past 4 times that I have ordered the general tsos, the chicken is very hard in some areas - not sure if they are re-frying it as orders come in or if it is old. The last time we ordered, there were hard things in the general tsos chicken. Everything else had been pretty good so we will continue going but I definitely won't order the tsos! read more

Yeah there's no dine in and it's still giving Covid lockdown vibes but they'll let you sit and eat if you ask, they just won't be serving as they once did. Also if you are big on covid measures...they are at the higher end of them with dividers separating where you pay and then a separate place to pick up your food. My wife and I do take out from here on a semi-regular basis. Their Chinese food is pretty good, and they do some passable Thai dishes as well. We generally come here for the sushi, though. Don't get me wrong, the sushi is nothing spectacular here, we're squarely in the utility grade level here. With that being said, it's never bad, and the prices allow you to have a large sushi dinner without having a special occasion price. A small sushi boat runs about $40, and it comes with two "special" rolls and 4 "regular" rolls, and unlike many restaurants, all the menu options are available to you, not a select few. The biggest drawback at Best Sushi is the ridiculous time estimates. I've never waited less than double the estimated time provided, and I go and pick up myself! Just take that into account when ordering, and you won't be stuck standing by the register watching cable news for 15 to 20 minutes. All in all, great everyday sushi option, but those looking for higher end stuff will be disappointed. Of course, looking for high end sushi in a Central NJ strip mall, may not be the most realistic of expectations anyway. read more

I always crave sushi and around this area, Best choice sushi is probably one of the few places that have decent sushi for the value and quality of the fish. I got the dragon roll, one of the salmon specialty roll (forgot the name), and three different combo rolls of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. I enjoyed all of the rolls, not extraordinary in terms of taste but it was decent and the fish was fresh. The service was good. Still delicious. And YES they are open for pick up orders during the pandemic, which made us so happy. They have put up a large plexiglas barrier to protect customers and staff and there's a sign at the door asking that only 1 or 2 people enter at a time. Everyone was respecting that rule and the pickup process is quick so you don't have to wait long at all. By far our favorite take out restaurant. The best sushi in Hamilton & you cant beat the price. Our kids love the Chinese options too. Delivery is always prompt and very seldom is anything wrong with our order. We love to dine in, BYOB is always a plus. They do offer brown rice sushi for an extra fee, but it's worth it. We order/dine in a few times a month, there really isn't anywhere else that compares.
