Owner / Sushi Chef Joshua Roberts

Thanks to Owner / Sushi Chef Joshua Roberts and his fantastic staff for honoring Grand Valley Pets Alive with the first Gives Back Day since his purchase of the business. So great to see a long time employee take charge of a business he helped to build. I love this restaurant for many reasons: Great food and service. An extensive menu of vegan choices sushi, entrees, and desserts. Support for community non profits. Many cats and dogs will be "romantically repired" (spayed/neutered) with the proceeds from the August 16 event. Looking forward to going back soon. I confess my addiction to Dynamite Mushrooms! For some reason, photos are not attaching???

Service was hair food very good and filling. We had the Oni roll and Poison Ivy both very good. We also had the dynamite shrimp bowl also very good. I'm glad we decided to give no coast a try. We will definitely return and recommend.

Health nut roll and WICKED GARDEN ROLL

For whatever reason I hadn't tried this place yet! They have a huge selection of sushi, and tons of it is vegan! I got the health nut roll and the wicked garden roll without jalapeños. They were both pretty good, I liked the health nut one better (probably cause I'm obsessed with avocado). Next time I'll request no cilantro. I was most excited about the sweet potato in the wicked garden but the flavor wasn't really coming through. It was about $35 for both rolls and in my experience that is pretty pricey for vegetarian sushi. I'll definitely be back one day to try more things on the menu and support local! There were a huge selection of drinks and cocktails that looked amazing too, so maybe we will do the indoor restaurant next time also (reservations preferred at this point based on door signage).

First time at No Coast was tonight. First off, Shannon our server was great, literally one of the best servers that we have had in Grand Junction, very knowledgeable about the menu, checked in on us frequently and brought soda refills. The food was good some items were better than others. The lobster wonton special appetizer was good but needed a dipping sauce to go with it. Tuna Poke and Spicy Tuna Roll were excellent. The vegan carrot/cucumber roll was ok too much rice and bland. Cocktail was good not great, next time will get wine. Restaurant was very clean, friendly Staff and amble parking.

The food is great. Service is great and the ambience is great. It is my family's favorite place in Grand Junction to get sushi.

My fave is the Dynamite Roll (shrimp tempura, cream cheese topped with jalapeno, sriracha, masago, spicy mayo and eel sauce)...seriously...it's DYN-A-MITE!!!! Always get the edamame...reg or spicy (prefer the spicy but both are good!). Recently ordered the chicken fried rice and it was so delicious! The wine makes us happy because they provide a generous pour for your money unlike many other local restaurants. Bottom line, the food is fresh and incredible...service is always impeccable! But the real 5+ stars about Hiro is all about the owners and staff. They are professional and kind (with a lovely touch of humor) and ALWAYS make you feel like you're an extension of their family. Sometimes hero's don't always wear capes, because the real Hiro's here lie within the strong bond and passion this family has for their restaurant. You know how much I love to support local businesses and this is no exception...Howard and his wife Dewi offer a unique and quintessential restaurant that is much needed in our community. Highly recommend so be sure to Check them out!

It was an easy walk from our hotel, which was perfect because it was late, we were tired, and we were hungry. From the outside, it's connected to the Ramada and doesn't necessarily look like a fancy steakhouse. But once you walk in, it has a nice Japanese-style vibe. They also have an outdoor patio with market lights that would probably be great in warmer weather. It was mid-March and cold, so nobody was sitting outside. The young man who greeted us at the front was fantastic -- very friendly and super helpful. We grabbed menus and sat near the bar for a few minutes while deciding what to order. Inside, it's set up like a traditional hibachi steakhouse with several tables where chefs cook right in front of you. There were four hibachi stations and three of them were already full when we arrived, which tells you the place is pretty popular. I only saw one chef at the time, though, and a couple more groups came in while we were waiting for our food, so hopefully they had more chefs coming on -- otherwise that could turn into a long wait. I ordered the hibachi ribeye, which came with vegetables, fried rice, and a salad. The ribeye was tender and cooked perfectly. The vegetables (carrots, mushrooms, and zucchini) were really good. The fried rice was decent but could have used a little more seasoning. The salad looked pretty basic at first -- mostly iceberg lettuce with half a cherry tomato hiding at the bottom -- but I wanted to try the ginger dressing. That dressing was actually delicious and tasted homemade, and I ended up eating the whole thing. My husband ordered one of their combo bowls with chicken and fried rice, which he said was very good. He chose the miso soup instead of salad, and that was the only miss of the meal. It didn't really taste like the traditional miso soup we're used to. Overall, the food was very good and the service from the host made a great first impression. If we pass through Grand Junction again, we'd definitely consider stopping here again.

Our server didn't really seem to know what the menu was which was kind of odd. The sushi was quite good. The tempura was a little bland, and the unadon eel donburi was ok. We were seated in a back room, so it was actually pretty nice and quiet. Overall decent food, nothing special.
