We had plans to meet some friends at Sonny's and had no idea that No Kisses Bar even existed. We live in the neighborhood and have driven past many times. I can't believe this hidden gem was so close this whole time. The inside bar space is very cute and you can order pizza, pasta, and salads. I ordered a slice of cheese and I really enjoyed it. I really wish they had sausage as a topping. I could have used a tiny bit more cheese, but the sauce and crust were tasty. They have a great drink selection. They offer a ton of wines. I'm not sure if it is standard policy, but we were offered a taste of most of the wines we asked about. I didn't love the sparkling wines except the rosé. They have several batch cocktails but the bartender can make drinks as well. It was a beautiful day and we planned to sit outside on the huge patio. However, the vibe outside was VERY different from the inside bar. There was a ton of kids and families outside, so we stayed in. Accessibility - The entire space inside and out is accesible. We did have to ask the DJ to move out of the way to get out of the doorway. If he had started to plan, I'm not sure how that would have gone. They don't have a wheelchair accessilbe bar, but the tables all allow for a wheelchair to fit underneath and they have table service. read more

What a cool spot! This bar is located in the back of the pizza parlor, Sunny's. They have a ton of amazing natural wine that I was grateful to try - really interesting offerings that you might not find everywhere else. The decor is really funky with cool lighting, weird wallpaper, and lava lamps. There's even a large outdoor patio space connected to both the bar and the pizza shop that looks like fun. I would love to return and actually eat here too - they have gluten free pizza that looked pretty good judging by the pics on Yelp. It's cool to see a place like this in an area of DC that doesn't get quite as much attention. There's so many amazing cocktail bars in DC but not as many incredible natural wine bars, so they really are doing themselves a favor by standing out with such a unique selection. I was invited here for a birthday party and was not aware of this cute hidden gem! Parking: I arrived around 9:30pm and was able to find a close spot near the apartments across the street Entrance: I was a bit confused seeing the No Kisses Bar sign but not being able to enter. Then I realized I had to go through Sonny's Pizza to reach No Kisses! I really like this concept since you could purchase pizza right next door at Sonny's! The Vibes: GREAT! The DJ had on some pretty smooth tunes and the people there were cool. Layout: There is a mixture of tables and booths. You can reserve a spot if theres a large party. Recommending to anyone and everyone I give a tour of DC. The area is not as a popular destination compared to the other neighborhoods to go out but this place is going to change that. Its about 3PM and you're eager to check it out so you came a couple hours before it opens. What are you going to do? Don't fret because the sister stores are there for you to kill time and that's exactly what we did. No Kisses is part of a trio where the backyard patio is shared among the businesses. Instead of the patio in the sweltering heat, we plopped ourselves right in Colony Club. Its 5PM! The entrance is already setting a mood. Walk into the bar and I'm digging the vibe from the light fixtures down to the velvet booths. Also, they have a very killer playlist. Claps to you. Take your date here. We were disappointed with No Kisses. The atmosphere is phenomenal, dim but colorfully lit in front with an outdoor beer garden setup in back. However,it's a cocktail place, and the drinks were not great. I would say it's a cocktail place for people who don't like cocktails because they aren't mixed well. Both drinks we tried were way overpowering on the sweet mixers and a little watery. To charge $12 for this is criminal. If you want a good cocktail, go up the street to Reliable Tavern instead (or if you can venture to another neighborhood, McClellans Retreat, Copycat, Morris, All Souls, Service Bar, Green Zone, etc). All are similarly priced at much higher quality. If you just want a beer while eating some Sonnys pizza, it's not bad. I mention Sonnys because the bar is connected to Sonnys. While Sonnys is open, you get to No Kisses by walking in Sonnys and going through a side door, but if Sonnys is closed, you go down the narrow alley between Sonnys and Doubles. read more

I must admit that I hadn't planned on coming here. I was actually at Sonny's next door for pizza but the placed was packed. We didn't even know there was a bar next door until our server said we could grab a drink there and they would bring our pizza. The bar was completely unexpected. The entire place was lit with purple light. It was cool, and set a nice vibe, but I had to break out the glasses to read the drink menu on blue paper! No Kisses is an amazing new bar with a beer garden out back and a gorgeous interior. The cocktails were pretty good, and they also sell pitchers of beer. This bar is right next to the new pizza place, Sonny's, on Georgia Ave. They share a kitchen so you can order Sonny's entire menu. We ordered a pizza, the meatball sandwhich, and the garlic knots. After recovering from my carb coma, I am happy to report the food was enjoyed by all. The pizzas and large salads are huge, big enough to feed 3-4 people each. I'm not sure what this place would be like when the weather is cold, but during the warm months is a beautiful spot to enjoy the weather and some good drinks with friends. We also noticed several people with young children so it's also family friendly! read more

The odd fashion was my favorite cocktail of the night. I also tried the Capetown Spritz which was very refreshing. If you get hungry, Sonny's Pizza is next door. You have to go over to their side to place your order, but they will bring your food into the bar for you to enjoy there. The patio was packed with a variety of people, young and old, enjoying pizza. Throughout the night there was an increase of customers going straight to the patio and others enjoying the cushy seating and dim lighting of the bar. Someone eventually turned on the ceiling light where variety of colors flashed across the ceiling. This was a nice touch that drew a few people to take photos. The music was a mix of chill vibes, I caught songs by Solange, Teyana Taylor and Lauryn Hill throughout the night. The cocktails are well made. I can see myself coming back and bringing a friend from out the area for a lowkey spot to grab a unique cocktail. read more

I really like the space, and I like Sonny's pizza. But reading some of these reviews....gotta give some honest feedback... I agree it's perfect for day drinking...except they're not open during the day.... The cocktails are ok, but nothing to write home about, and the menu is really limited. The bartenders are super friendly, but if they're not popping a beer, or making one of the menu cocktails, they're not having it. Again, the space is awesome, and I think with some course correction and menu evolution, it'll be awesome. Until then though, there's too many other places. I am looking forward to giving it another go in a month or so and seeing what's up. read more

I came here on their opening night curious to see this secret bar. After I finally found the entrance I was blown away with the retro vibe, the light up ceiling and beautiful velvet booths that line the walls. I've tried many different drinks there. By far my favorite from the menu is the genever and juice. Also during the fall they make this great apple cider with a little whiskey. That'll warm you up on a cold night. But what's also great about this place is that you can talk to one of the bartenders and they love to go off menu. I tried this vodka and chocolate liquor style drink once, oh my god it was so amazing. And what's even better here you can order food next door in Sonny's and they'll bring it over to you. I don't know what they're doing during covid. I think they're selling gift cards online and they have a staff relief fund I encourage you to donate to. Let's make sure this amazing bar survives covid. read more

Super chill and modern bar! They have an inside traditional bar area with booths as well, however the inside smells strongly of parmesan so I would recommend sitting outside. The outside seating area reminded me of a hip and modern bier garden. In the back there's an abandoned truck turned bar which is super cute. Their drinks are really tasty, the service is amazing, and they even serve huge pizzas however order early if you come at night because they close the kitchen early. read more

This was my first time here and it's a pretty chill bar. There seems to be an outdoor patio as well and the crowd was mixed. We came here with a group of 8+ and we ordered our drinks and was just talking but we were already drinking so we were pretty loud and laughing you know just having a great time. I stopped for a second and was eyeing the room. I saw as someone was at the bar and looked around and covered her ears as if we were too loud. I was so confused because I've never been to a bar that was quiet before so that didn't really rub me the right way. A few others noticed as well, but we were already looking for our next location anyways. I won't let that be the reason not to come back because the bartenders were cool and during that time they still had happy hour. I believe happy hour on a Saturday is from 5-7 pm, but don't quote me because I don't remember. I know I ordered my drink and was happy with the fast service and glad that I just made it before happy hour ended. I'm sure I'll give this bar a shot again. It had a cute little cozy set up though. I would like to check out the patio next time and really see what this place is like. read more

We stumbled into this new bar while visiting Colony Club right next door and found out that No Kisses shares a large outdoor patio in the back with its two adjacent businesses, Colony Club and Sonny's Pizza. Since we mostly stayed in the patio. It's confusing as to which place I'm writing about. But I will say the interior is very cool, kind of like a psychedelic speakeasy. The wallpaper is unique and the entrance into the bar is fun and intriguing. They have a HH on Saturdays which is always great. But mostly beer and wine on the HH menu. The cocktails were solid. The outdoor space is great, nice and big. But it feels like its identity and vibe belongs more to Sonny's as each table has a Sonny's menu, there are Peroni umbrellas, and the cool minibus takes Sonny's orders. (So I'll write a separate review for them) Some tips - You can keep the same tab open for Sonny's and No Kisses orders, but not Colony Club. And if you're outside you can only order from the Sonny's menu from that minibus. Gotta order inside if you want something from the No Kisses menu. read more

Went to a birthday party here last night and it amazing! I loved everything from the cool vibes to the tasty cocktails. This place is awesome for a date or place to chill with friends. What an awesome new addition to Georgia Avenue! I came through with a friend on the second night the bar was opened and was blown away. The space is gorgeously decorated and a lot of time was put into the bar's design. Velvet booths, beautiful wallpaper, and fun ceiling tiles really create an awesome vibe to sit back and have a cocktail with some friends or on a date night. The vibe is darker and romantic, reminiscent of a speak easy. While the bar was crowded, second night and all, the staff did a great job making sure everyone got their drinks in a timely manner and the table turnover was easy so we were able to snag a booth after only waiting a couple minutes.The negroni was delicious, as was my companion's genever & juice. I will definitely be back, especially as the back patio looks like it is going to be prime real estate in the summer. Hung out at the back patio/garden area on a Sunday, and had a really lovely time! The set up makes for chill vibes, great for hanging-out with friends, and I especially loved the old truck-turned bar in the back. A small but solid beer and wine list - and AMAZING food. New cocktail bar connected to Sonny's Pizza and Colony Club. Cocktails are excellent, ability to order food from Sonny's is a huge win. The bar looks great on the inside and has a terrific patio in the back. This would be a five star review except for the atrocious acoustics in the inside part of the bar. It doesn't take many people in that space to make it annoyingly loud and difficult to hear each other talk. Hopefully as they grow they will put a little thought into acoustic treatments for the room to make it a little easier to hang out inside. But otherwise, it is a really wonderful space and a terrific addition to the neighborhood! read more

Watered down, over priced drinks, TERRIBLE service and dirty bathrooms. I was very disappointed in my experience at No Kisses. Four of my friends and I were the ONLY people at the bar and we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the blonde, bartender working the inside bar on 9/7/19. When she did finally ask us if we wanted anything it was as if WE were bothering HER. All of us mind you, were sober (from the watered down previous drinks) and just waiting patiently to be waited on. When we weren't even sure if she got our order we repeated our last drink. With her back to us she screamed, I KNOW I GOT IT! Well great, thanks, sorry to bother you while YOU ARE WORKING and WE ARE PAYING. I was honestly appalled. I was also appalled that my friend (purchasing that round) still tipped her as if she deserved any additional thank you for her horrid service.
