I really enjoy shopping here, when I get the chance. They typically have a lot of new and fashionable items, and carry brands that fit all different body types. (My roommate and I are the epitome of opposite and we always manage to both find something lovely and flattering.) Also, their prices are very reasonable. I often see the same exact items in other stores for $10-$30 more than what they go for at No Rest for Bridget. As others have said, they could improve on their customer service, but it's nothing that makes it not worth showing up to see what they've got. read more

Came into your store today with my super cranky 2 year old .. I needed to get a present for my sister and my daughter wasn't behaving the best( going thru terrible 2's) I was so embarrassed and felt like everyone was judging. I was wrong. Another customer in the store was totally understanding and the girl helping me was super sweet. Even thru my daughters tantrum she asked if my daughter wanted to help her tie the bow on the gift. So sweet cause my daughter was super excited to help. There is something seriously wrong with this store. The layout is cute and they have great trendy stuff, but they have HUGE customer service problems and are absolutely terrible when it comes to being attentive to customers. The girl at the front had a huge stick up her butt and didn't even want to help me, she was just preoccupied with her folding that when I asked her a question she basically glared at me for disturbing her. Great prices, good styles, OK service. All the clothes are reasonably priced, and similar in price. I can usually always find what I an looking for, especially if it is a hot trend. Formal styles are a little harder to come by. The service really varies. Since I live so close I go in under all kind of conditions. I notice when I'm put together vs. passing by in my sweats, I'm given much more attention. A little Pretty Woman, but not ok or smart in my book. read more

I've been to this boutique several times. They have a pretty wide selection with everything nicely sorted by colors. However, when you get closer you see that most of their pieces are cheaply made, gaudy compilations of polyester and lace. BUT if you're willing to dig through a lot of crap you can usually find some nice flowy tees or basic solid color chiffon button ups. They occasionally even have a cute pair of shorts or jeans. The BIG downside of this place is the customer service.REALLY BAD. You will be assisted by snooty 18 year olds who will do nothing to mask their displeasure at having to help you in any way. One of my jobs is a retail store that thrives on customer service and making guests feel welcome. After several times shopping this location I felt the need to stress how friendly and genuine the ladies always are. You can tell when someone is doing their job or going above it. After I went to the No Rest For Bridget store in Huntington Beach, and the store wasn't open and it was 11:30 in the morning (supposed to open at 10), I decided to check out their other location in Costa Mesa. What a breath of fresh air! The store is smaller than the HB one, but still had a wide selection of all of the must-have fashions of the season at really reasonable prices. All of the salesgirls were very friendly as well. I tried on a couple of dresses, and bought a really cute one for only $24. My mom was shopping with me, and she commented to one of the salesgirls on how we went to their other location and no one was there. They said that this wasn't the first time this has happened. I am sure glad I checked out this location...I'll probably be coming here more often! Definitely check it out if you want a better quality alternative to Forever 21 or other similar stores. read more

This review is for OPT which I shopped at yesterday. Nice store in itself, affordable clothing, nice selection. Walked into store where 3 employees were talking about their shift hours at the cash register. After walking around store and picking several items I walked up to them and no recognition. I asked may I try these on please and one of the employees pointed to the dressing rooms and said I could use any of them. As I was trying on items they continued to talk. No one asked if I needed help with sizes or anything. I came out with one item. Nothing. Looked around a little bit more and proceeded to register. After standing for several minutes one employee finally asked if I was ready to check out. Yes please. I paid and she asked if I was aware of return policy??? Thats what she was concerned with apparently? No thank you for your business, nothing. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I never write reviews but I had to mention this in hopes that the OWNER will read and perhaps educate their employees on proper customer service! Horrible. read more

Seriously F this place & their stupid return policy. I bought a dress (on sale) today around 3pm, was a little bigger than I wear but i liked it so much I bought it anyway. Took it to my tailor to be taken in a little on the top but the way the dress was made, she said it wouldn't work. Bummed, I took the dress back two hours later in hopes of EXCHANGING it for a higher priced dress I saw earlier. Didn't want my $$ back or anything just a dress that fit. All the sales girls could do was repeat their return policy over & over to me even though I obviously had not damaged the item in any way, and had literally just bought it. I think an exception could have been made in my case due to the circumstances but they were not going to accommodate that in any way. They must have a hard time moving their cheap, overpriced shit, because once you buy it and are "out the door with it, it's yours & NRFB can't do anything with it." I like the selection but service is horrible. After taking my items away from me to "start me a room" I get there with a few more items and everything else I had picked out was gone. The girl argued that that was all I had and I reminded her and the original girl of the pair of jeans and other items in my lot. They looked at me like I was crazy and holding up the line. I went back to pick out the items and then the original girl comes along and starts remembering the items and helps me pick them out again. After trying everything on I overhear another shopper come out of a room to pay for her items and they had already put them away (because you can only take in a certain number at a time). The cashier blamed it on the girl working the fitting room but it was definitely a group effort involving multiple workers who acted like they didn't know what items we were referring to. Such a bummer because I really like this store. I'll stick to the other locations. read more

Very trendy but very mediocre, poor quality clothes. Seems promising at first, but once you start looking closer, you realize the markup on these pieces is ridiculous! Salesgirls are hit-or-miss, mostly miss. Maybe they greet you but that's about it, and that depends on whether you're lucky or not. I also want to comment on their sister store that is a few doors down called "OPT" or something like that. Another cute-from-the-outside storefront that once you get inside you realize is not all that. This is a more grown-up version of No Rest for Bridget.....more streamlined pieces, a little more chic and adult, less teeny-bopper. They also have home goods, but very limited, and overall WAY overpriced. But in terms of customer service, this place is even worse!! The times I've come in they don't even greet the customer, maybe they're profiling and figure because I'm in gym clothes they won't make a sale? I dunno, but they're so engrossed in their personal conversations that the customer feels totally unwelcome. The last time I was there, two of the salesgirls were chatting with a customer or co-worker (I couldn't tell which) and as SOON as she left they starting talking badly about her, her boyfriend and whatever else she'd been telling them. Unprofessional? Um, yeah. Rude? Completely. I bought a pair of Flying Monkey jeans before Christmas. They fit snugly and comfortably. I expected that they would stretch a bit as they were worn, but the salesgirl told me I could bring them back within 30 days if they didn't work out. I wore them for the first and only time to do Christmas shopping. They stretched out SO BADLY that they were literally falling off of me. I had to pull them up every few minutes or they literally fell totally off my butt! These were 80 something dollars and I paid full price. I'm 65 years old and usually shop at Nordstrom or Macy's, and I guess I was accustomed to being treated professionally when I returned them. It was within 2 weeks and I had the receipt. The girl at the cash register spoke to me as if I were some sleazy character trying to rip them off because the "tags had been removed." Was I supposed to wear them all day with the tags. Then she said they were "stained" and obviously worn. I brushed off the little bit of something I had sat in with my fingernail. She sneered (!) and spoke very loudly so all the customers could hear. I asked to speak to the manager. She said I had to wait, and took another customer. She was about to take yet another customer, ignoring me and I told her I was not going to wait. She again sneered, and her fellow salespeople stood around and condescendingly told me I shouldn't have removed the tags before wearing them. Even though I showed them how the waistline stretched to almost twice its original size and the product was defective, they told me I was purposely damaging them further. I asked when the manager would be there, they said Sunday, but they had told me I had to leave the tags on to wear them (none of them were even there when I bought them) and the manager had been called about it while I waited, and she would not change her mind on Sunday. Was this treatment because I am a senior so they could bully me, or do they treat everyone this way? I will never go there again and will only shop at reputable stores where they don't refuse to credit customers for defective merchandise. read more

If I could give 2 separate reviews I would, instead I'll meet in the middle and give an OK rating. I love the clothing and items this store has to offer, it is always a go to for me, (except is it just me or does it seem like the prices have gone up?) Either way, in regard to the clothing I would give 5 stars. However I have to agree with the negative comments and give a 1 star for customer service here. What is so hard about working in a small boutique clothing store that apparently makes the employees so rude!? I have had MANY occasions where the customer service was less than ideal. A few examples; standing at the dressing rooms waiting for one of the four girls on staff to notice and offer to help with my mile high pile of clothes to try on, much less open the door for me. Once noticed it was as if I had asked her to run a marathon to simply do her job. Also, last time I shopped at NRFB there was an issue with the computers, scanner AND the credit card reader. I patiently waited while the girl behind the counter irritatedly informed me what was going on. But what's with the attitude? I didn't break your machine! Furthermore, as she took everything out of my bag and scanned it for the second time and slid my credit card again (since she had to restart the computer) she hurriedly threw everything back in the bag and sent us on our way with the most forced "have a wonderful day"... you could tell it was like pulling teeth for her to utter the words that were just dripping with "pissyness" and mumbled under her breath. Overall, great clothes but NRFB could use a facelift in the employee department. Maybe corporate should send them to an etiquette class or two... just sayin. read more

I love this store so much! Every time I go there, the entire store is filled with new, cute clothes. I went on a shopping spree this week and bought at least six dresses and my total was under $200! I'm always afraid to go into cheaper boutiques because either it's crowded, disorganized, or just really rude. I found the store really clean and set up so that everything was easy to find. I love that they have a varying selection from inexpensive tops, to more high end brands. I can find ANYTHING i need there :) the employees are adorable and always help me so much. i don't understand why so many people complain about the service! I went in to find something for valentine's day and they had an amazing selection. I am definitely addicted and go in every week! I bring my friends too! A new No Rest for Bridget recently opened in Newport Beach on the peninsula. I'm familiar with the store located in Costa Mesa and absolutely love it! I was so excited for there to be one just across the street from my house! As a 30 year old woman I shop a lot, from small boutiques to large department stores and everything in between. No Rest for Bridget had a great selection as usual, however the customer service was less than stellar. To me, customer service is a make it or break it and unfortunately my shopping experience at the new store was a break it based upon the lack of customer service. After asking for the sales associates opinion on what accessories she would recommend for the dress I had picked out, I got nothing. She didn't offer a suggestion or anything. She kind of walked to accessories and sort of shrugged her shoulders at me and then went back behind the register to talk to the other associate. To me this is unacceptable. I continued to shop a bit, but was so irritated by the lack of help that I couldn't wait to leave. I just kept looking at the three sales associates that were in the store and then looking around to see that I was the only shopper in the store. Whether it was a lack of maturity in sales or just the end of the day and they were over it, I was uneasy enough to want to leave and quite honestly not go back. There are too many boutiques in the area that have wonderful customer service in addition to a great selection. I will continue spending my time and money at these stores instead.
