Yummy dinner last night! Everything was so good- the grilled oysters, the mermaid kisses, the fried shrimp and the margaritas. Love the atmosphere and service also, fun for a casual place!

It's my understanding that this place has been bought by the folks at Prestige Oysters, who also own Pier 6 and Fish Company Taco. (Our server told me that this company also owns Gilhooley's in San Leon, but my research shows that it's owned by Misho's.) Either way, Noah's Ark seems better now ... cleaner ... more respectable. It's always been decent. The menu has always been varied, and the view has always been spectacular. But it always seemed that mediocre food, along with the stench of cigarettes, was the price one had to pay to come here. Not on this visit. Though the menu is a cluster bomb (they're in the process of updating it, according to Caleb, our server), the shrimp tastes like it was caught hours earlier. Additionally, it was fried to perfection. Lightly breaded and crisp. The oysters were also nicely cooked and tasted very fresh. On many previous visits, a quick trip inside to the bathroom meant walking through the stench of smoke. This place previously had a poker room. I'm not sure whether that still exists, but why do people need to smoke to play poker anyway? -- I digress. The smoke smell seems to be a thing of the past these days, though the men's bathroom had more plastic and tape over the urinals than your average bus station. All in all, I was impressed with the improvements made here. They still have some room to grow, but I am pleased to be able to come here now for the food -- in addition to the view of the Galveston Bay.

Had a great Sunday dinner sitting outside at Noah's today! With the weather finally getting nicer we chose Noah's because of the outdoor patio and bay view. They have a great draft beer selection with local brews and full bar as well. For app went with the Oyster Rockefeller and 1/2 dozen raw as they were on happy hour which is daily! For entrees my lady had the etouffe and I went for the admirals platter. The seafood was fresh and quantities were great. The kids went with chicken strips and both had some to bring home. Our server was attentive and friendly and the food came out super fast. There was live music upstairs but only over 21 is allowed so we will have to come back kid-free sometime! Look forward to returning to Noah's in the future as the atmosphere and location is perfect for us!

We went last Saturday around 4 because the weather was amazing and we have been wanting to try it since the new owners took over. Kimberly was our server, it was her second day on the floor and she was a rock star! She will be one of the best they have, ask for Kimberly. The oysters were on a special, .50 cents each! As you can see they were very big and they were delicious!! The other appetizers were really good and tasty! They had a one man band that was great, not too loud so carrying on with a conversation wasn't an issue. Great view of the bay!

My husband and I finally tried Noah's Ark, as Pier 6 regulars, we had to check out their sibling restaurant. The vibe is super beachy, almost like a relaxed treehouse, and it's right on the waterfront with a gorgeous view. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Their menu leans more toward bar‑style bites with plenty of fried options. We started with the shrimp poppers, fresh shrimp wrapped in a full strip of bacon and fried to perfection. Crispy, savory, a little spicy... an excellent appetizer, and service was impressively quick. Next came Noah's Oysters, baked with garlic butter and Parmesan. You really can't go wrong with those flavors. Then we tried the Parmesan‑crusted Redfish with shrimp, and wow! beautifully plated, fresh, and the sauce was magnificent. The Parmesan crust was everything, and the touch of sun‑dried tomatoes made the dish even better. Overall, we had a great experience at Noah's. Fresh food, great service, and a beautiful waterfront setting. We'll definitely be back.

We heard that the owner appeared six also bought this restaurant recently and was working to make it better. We decided to stop by on Sunday morning around 10:30. What fun we had. Y'all, this is one of the best kept secrets and I almost hate to even put it out there. For $15 you can get a breakfast buffet with a custom omelette station, boiled shrimp, and fresh oysters along with everything else that would normally be on a buffet you can also enjoy mimosas for four dollars. We felt like we were stealing ha ha My brother and I shared a ceviche which was absolutely amazing with lots of shrimp and crab, and Buffalo wings that were excellent. Both were eight dollars. The atmosphere was relaxed, and our waiter was so sweet, accommodating, and efficient bravo Raz! You did it again. Do you know what people like you put yourself in the customer shoes. You train your people well you offer food for a good value. I wish you all the success.

Stopped by on a beautiful afternoon to enjoy some fresh raw oysters! Weather was perfect on the patio and the view was lovely. Ordered 2 tall beers and a dozen oysters. Beer was refreshing and cold and the oysters were plump and delicious!

This is a great place to wnjoy the view. I tried the new menu item. The cast iron pot pie. It's very flavorful. It's not bland like most are.

Wonderful shrimp dinner and the catfish was too. Healthy portions that a person would likely not be able to eat. Also the ambiance is right on. Service was great. 10 stars in my book.

This is the perfect place for lunch, drinks, and dinner in the water. Tiki hut ambiance with their 2nd floor porch catching the best breezes on the Gulf. Our upstairs team, Dani and Ashleigh, were attentive and friendly, helping us work through the menu. Our food came out as ordered and really hit the spot at lunch. We're coming back and bringing friends.

Anything special happening here on Easter?

We want to have lunch on Sunday but also watch the Masters on TV. Is there a spot to do that here?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes 21 & up in our upstairs open air palapa we have 6 TVs. Downstairs we about the same but they are inside but we have plenty of tables with a great view of the water.

    Are you pet friendly outside?

They do allow pets outside on the patios

My family and I were in Galveston and decided we want to grab lunch before heading back to town. I…read moreremembered the name Pier 6 from two different group of friends so thought I should look it up and see where it was on the map. Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

Well I realize I completely forgot to write a review for Pier 6 when we came to visit in November…read more2025. Pier 6 menu changes from time to time. We had ordered: * Thai salad : 1/5 nothing Thai about this salad and it was terrible. * 2 dozen raw oysters: 4/5 decent good for Nov. * seafood gumbo: 1/5 we had the gumbo here before and it was decent but this time it was not the same and tasted like burnt roux which should never be served. * burger with a gravy sauce: 1/5 The brown sauce was pour around the burger and the burger was placed in the center. The burger bun was soggy and the worst burger we ever had. It was the strangest burger because we couldn't pick it up to eat it since it was soggy from the pour of the brown sauce. This burger was $25+ which was uneatable. The beef patty was unseasoned and dry. Fast forward March 2026, after the last dining experience we almost didn't want to come back. Only reason was for the oysters. We were happy to see the items that we really enjoyed was back on the menu! *Only fried shrimp $24.99: 5/5 comes with coleslaw, stellar jalapeño hush puppies which is the best I've had!, and fries. The shrimp is fresh and good size! Nothing beats a texas gulf shrimp! *Tide to fried $28.99- 4/5 comes with fried tx gulf shrimp, fried oysters, and fried red snapper, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. The fired oysters were so good!!!! Like wow and well seasoned! So fresh! The shrimp is perfect! Red snapper super disappointed because it was super fishy. I do not recommend the fried red snapper. Next time definitely get the only shrimp or only oysters combo and pass on the tide to fried which included the fried snapper. *3 dozen oysters - $14.99 per dozen: 5/5 the oysters in March a plump and juicy! So much better than Nov (early season) oysters. The oysters Unfortunately had shells from shucking the oysters so when eating them I bite into shell and thought I almost cracked a tooth. Quality of the oysters great 5/5. The shucking and handle of the oysters 1/5. No guest should eat shuck raw oysters bite on shell. That's a law suit waiting to happen and I hope this establishment does better because we love their freshness of their oysters. *Ocean water $6 happy hour : 5/5 reminds me of sonic ocean water except spiked lol *Watermelon slush $6 happy hour: 1/5 it was so strong and I felt the smokiness was too much. Love the ocean water more because it hides the alcohol and easy to drink. Service was meh. The place was packed at 5pm on a Friday. Not sure why our entrees and drinks came out before our appetizers which I felt was inappropriate. We had to flag down our waiter a few times for items. He did check in with us once after we got our food and took our first bites. Do I recommend Pier 6? Based on this recent visit I am glad I didn't write them off and yes. The food was great minus the oyster cleanliness. Definitely a favorite place for oysters and the best fried shrimp/oyster plate the area and Galveston even. Only negative is the blasting of the music. It's so loud we can not hear our conversation and will induce you a guarantee headache. It does not matter if you sit inside or outside.. it's the same noise level which is concert loud. The videos killer outside and so beautiful but I feel the blaring of music takes away from the charm of this place. If you are into rowdy loud places this is for you. Other than that, maybe distract one self by ordering happy hour drinks so it helps with the intense loud music.
