My dog was taken here to get cleaned because we wanted to try a different place and we ended up with a lecture on our dogs weight and the employees calling our vet and snooping around, which is crossing a line, we're not paying you to lecture us about our dog, we're paying you to clean him, that's it. We take the greatest care of our dog and we don't need someone, other than our vet, telling us otherwise. Employees were not very nice at all, I would not recommend them to anyone. *a note I should add is my dog has seizures and the medicine he is on makes him hungrier and makes him gain weight so keeping the weight off is difficult even though we walk him everyday and have him on a diet. read more

I called prior to walking in for a nail trim for my two dogs. Staff was rude and acted like it was a burden that I came in once I arrived. My lab mix is very skittish and I let them know that before they attempted to cut her nails. Needless to say, the lady was irritated with her and pulled my dog by the leg to bring her closer, and my dog defecated all over her tucked tail. Their half attempt to clean her up was to hand me a hand full of paper towels. So I had dog poop all on the inside of my pilot once I got her home. Never will use this place again!!! read more

The 1st time I took my shih tzu there for grooming in Jan 2014, I paid the $60 even though the owner rudely called my dog "Mouth" for barking while there and the haircut was awful. All she did was shave all of his hair off, even his ears. We needed a weekend appt last weekend and she was the only one with an opening. She told my husband that our dog was labeled an "extreme barker" in their file and if he needed to bring him in a little earlier he would have to pay $10 extra because she would have to deal with the barking longer!! I took my dogs in for the first time to get groomed and nails clipped. They did a fine job clipping my dog, no complaints there, but their customer service is horrible. I didn't feel welcomed, I felt like I was bothering them by walking through the door. They are very abrupt, no smiles, and didn't greet me or my dogs. When the groomer took my dogs from me, she just grabbed them and pulled them through the door. My larger dog is very easy-going but she immediately began to resist being pulled away. If the groomer had just taken a few seconds to let my dog sniff her, my dog would have calmly gone with her. I didn't have a good feeling leaving my dogs in their care, and won't be back. read more

I use to enjoy this groomers but for about 2 years it is horrible. They called me last minute to take in my dog and then canceled when we were not there right away. Then called at 4:40pm and said to be there by 5pm and when I rushed there she was not even done. She does great work but I wonder where her worth ethic went and kindness to her customers. read more

We've been more than happy with the folks at Noah's Ark. They have personality and even with more than a couple months between visits they remembered our French Bulldog is completely deaf and has separation anxiety from our Schnauzer. They promptly tend to her to keep her from panicking. All hair cuts are performed as requested. All in all we don't pick up traumatized pups that are happy and look great. read more

I have taken my dogs to this groomer for awhile and they have done good job with the actual grooming...however, their customer service has steadily declined. The last two times I've taken them in, my dog has been so apprehensive (he is never like that) he refused to go with the clerk. The groomer was rude and inpatient while we were there so I wonder what happens when my dogs are there alone with them. I won't be going back! I have taken my dog here twice now. The first time one of the employees aggressively pulled my dog into a kennel by her scruff. Upon returning the owner and clerk were so apologetic about this and reassured me they never treat the dogs this way. So I decided I would take her back and try again. This time she is cut much shorter than I asked and her paws and face were bleeding. The clerk said she cut her paws in the kennel but they appeared to be done by clippers. My poor baby was so eager to get out of that building and into my car she was whining. Never again will I bring her here! read more

My brother has been taking his Schnauzer to Noah's Ark since last May when we both bought homes and moved to Schertz/Cibolo. Boozer is a very nervous and old dog and the girls there treat him with kid gloves. They do an excellent job on his hair cut and when we pick up Booz he is always happy. My brother also said that the girls have been calling him every six weeks as a reminder for Boozer's grooming needs. That has been very new for my brother and he really likes it. Lastly, my brother is blind and the girls there go the extra mile to make sure my brother gets in the store ok and has no problems dropping of his dog. Excellent job ladies! Service was great and I am very satisfied with my dogs cut at the end of the day. There was much effort put into making sure that the dog was groomed to our specifications and that he was treated well do to his age. I have brought my pet here twice. First time, the vacuum system (Heavy Duty) they used caused a significant nose bleed in my dog. The second time the person who trimmed the nails on my dog cut one way too far back, causing bleeding. The person who cut the nails then blamed the fact that the dog was in pain was due to arthritis. I figured that the first incident was isolated and that I should give them a second chance. No way in heck am I coming back here after two visits. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before bringing my golden retriever in for grooming. Here is my story: One day before I phoned asking about their services and prices. Given a quote for what I wanted done based on 50 to 80lb dog. Was told to be prompt at 8am drop off. The pierced stoner that opened was late with some sort of car excuse. I said nothing of it. Got inside, weighed my dog, 79.6lb. I cheered. Not because I was below their 80lb threshold but because we have been working to get her weight down. Later I get a call from the "groomer" asking what style of trim I wanted. I didn't know there was a "style" so I said trim her up nicely, make it on the short side because I want it to last for the summer. In that same call the groomer said that my animal was ready for pick up. So she called asking me what style I wanted, I answered and at the same time tells me my dog is ready? I just chalked it up to maybe all dog groomers are strange. I go to collect my dog and the groomer, which by now I'm convinced must be the owner, gives me a wildly different final price. I asked why the difference in what I was quoted and the final price. Rudely she tells me that my dog required more time and extra effort therefore requires a higher costs. I said exactly these words..."Ok, I would have assumed you would have told me this when I booked the appointment or at the very least before you began working on her but that's ok, I will know better next time". The next I know, she slams my card on the counter and exclaims that she's not charging me, have a good day. I explain that I'm willing to pay, no need for her to make a bad decision because she and I disagree. She again refuses. I again offer to pay telling her that she's making a poor business decision and demonstrating poor business judgement. She then goes into why charges can increase such as express fees. I did not ask for an express fee. She said...I didn't charge you a fee, just telling you how invoices can increase. I asked her why she would be telling me about fees she isn't charging me. Again, I tell her that I'm not looking for anything free, I agreed to pay and pay I'm willing to do. She refused. Then they bring out my dog. OMG, she looks like a train wreck. It appears that they used 4 or 5 different levels of trimmer head. Poor baby. So I gather my dog, remind her one last time that she's making a very bad decision and that soon enough she will understand. To top it off, the place looks like a disaster zone. I should have trusted my instincts and turned and walked out when stoner boy finally arrived. Read reviews. There will be good ones and bad ones on any business. Do not take your pet here. My dog passed away here and I have heard many other terrible stories from other pet owners who have used this groomer. PET OWNERS BEWARE this place is just brutal to animals I have a mini pom he's such a loveable little man weighs about 6 lbs I tried this place thinking how can anyone in this business hurt an animal my little man loved to be groomed until this place groomed him they cut his tummy burned the inside inside of his hind leg when I picked him up he was just shaking and the owner was lecturing me on how his little rocket kept popping out her bather was at her time of the month the owner basically told me my dog was worthless and I should have him fixed as even if I did have pups from him they would be worthless then had quoted me 40 dollars on the phone but when I picked him up they charged me 54 so I guess i was paying this place to abuse my dog I do not advise anyone to take their animals here these people are about money not caring for animals of any kind would not have even given them one star but to post this u have to rate them yelp needs a minus system read more

I have been taking my dog to Noah's Ark since they were located on Schertz Pkwy, their service has gotten worse. Last time he came home with cut on his stomach and they said it was there before. Today he came home with a broken blood vessel in his eye and they denied it was their doing. We are done with this business, based on the bad reviews below I would suggest others beware. PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Terrible customer service! The moment I walked in with my Husky and Lab, I had a very bad feeling. The place appeared to be in shambles, baseboards ripped off, hair/dust everywhere, unkempt in general. I was not greeted nor welcomed whatsoever, but decided to give them a second chance (2nd visit in 2 years). Not only did they take 8 hours to do baths and nail trims, which their website states takes approx. 3-4hrs, they also took it upon themselves to do a de-shedding treatment, which I specifically told them I didn't want. They tried to charge me $48 for that too, saying that they wouldn't have been able to blow dry the husky without it. They claimed they had to blow dry him for 4+ hours, though Petsmart can do bath/nails+ in under 2. Jamie, the owner said it takes so long because there are only 2 groomers. Maybe they should only book what they can handle in the quoted timeframe. They also gave lots of unsolicited advice and were completely rude in general. My dogs were shaky and skittish going in and coming out of there and not themselves. Please do yourselves and your dogs a favor by staying away from this place. Rude and completely unprofessional. I feel bad for our dogs having had to be there for 8 hours today. read more

If I could give less than 5 stars I would. DO NOT take your pet anywhere near this business. I should have known not to leave my pet there, when I pulled up at 8:15 in the morning and there are all these shady people standing around smoking. Then, when I pick up my poor pet, the groomer is extremely rude and argumentative. She chewed me out; my poor baby has skin allergies. She would not let me get in a word while she lambasted me in front of people. I have never been spoken to in such a manner! The inside of this place is filthy and unkempt. I am furious that I payed $75 to be treated the way I was. I will never recommend using this service again. Buyer beware. I did not read the horrible reviews before I went there. Shame on me.
