I had an appointment set up with Noah's Ark for Monday, received multiple emailed and text messages confirming the appointment, and i showed up on time. The Veterinarian acted like I was bothering her, and said she was busy with a surgery...She looked at her appointment book and first said I did not have an appointment, then said I missed it on the prior Monday. I showed her the confirmation on my phone and she shrugged it off and said I could be a walk in later in the day. I took a half day off work without pay to get my Pup looked at and she offered no apology, said someone there must have added it on the wrong day....but I have MULTIPLE emails and a texted confirmation ? Her lack of concern or common courtesy really hit me the wrong way. I would not trust her with my Dog. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Referred by a rescue group in my community. Had a couple of rescues that needed to be spayed neutered, I was able to get them in quickly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I dont know enough about the facility to give a full review. We adopted a dog from Carrollton Animal Services and they took our dog here for his neutering. they did a great job on his surgery and exam/shots. He healed up well with no complications. the staff was very nice. read more

Hah - Guess it was a good thing I didn't read these yelp reviews prior to taking my dog in for a teeth cleaning. I do agree with some of the stuff written by the other yelpers, but overall, my experience was good. Yes the place is a little run down, the staff seems new, there is a cat just roaming around, I'm not sure if I ever saw the vet (him / her)? Pre or post, not sure who I was meeting with, no one introduced themselves as the vet. But the price point was pretty good. I tried to call another discount teeth cleaning for pets, and they said my dog was too old. Now, I'll be honest, my dog's teeth weren't in the best shape, and it seemed to start to decay. I got a few quotes around Carrollton and this seemed to be the overall cheapest. Most places are charging about $75 for blood work and about $200 for cleaning, drugs, anesthesia. Noah's Ark - Approximately $150-175 for cleaning and that includes blood work, and everything else. The only thing isn't included is extractions. My dog ended up needing about 5 teeth pulled, and we only got charged for what was deemed difficult teeth (3) @ $30 a piece. My fiancé is a dentist, so I get it, wasn't arguing there. They gave me a few follow up calls to see how we were doing. My dog seems to be doing good and her breath smells good (only cleaning of her life 9-10 years). Can't complain that much! read more

Very sad time for me my dog has been ill for some time. It was a hard choice for me to make however, I knew it was time for me to put her at peace because I did not want her to suffer one day.. I waited out until somebody showed up as I walked in don't know the person's name told me they were not open and I explained to her that my dog was dying. Her reply is that we are not open and there will not be a vet here today. As she sipped her coffee I walked out.. will never take another animal to this place. I find them to be very unprofessional, non empathetic and rude. Why do you have the door open for business when you don't have a vet? If you want your animals to have proper care, just don't come here. The blue haired girl is super cool, but other than that? YIKES. I got my kitten spayed here last week. While I was waiting for her, the other receptionist lady was yelling all over and slamming her phone and what not because it was faulty. Then she told another guest sitting there, in a mean and undermining tone, to get airpods since the volume of the video he was watching was just a bit loud. I was sitting there, playing with the other cats in there and when she heard me, she was like, "Oh that's right. Your cat." Yeah. I was waiting for a while and she had just forgotten that I was there to get my cat. As she was explaining her reports to me afterwards and what not, I asked her for a cone of shame. She response was "98% of the time, they don't lick." Alas, I took her home and she was licking her scar raw. So as inconvenient it was, I took her back the next morning and asked for a cone again. The nice lady went and got her a cone. Cool. For a couple days, everything was nice. My cat couldn't lick her scar, but the cone was leaving abrasions on her face. I had a feeling the cone might had been too small but I'm no vet, I thought they knew better. WRONG. Over the weekend, her scar started to get red, I couldn't figure out why. Monday, it went down a bit but then there was a bump. Weird. On Tuesday night, when I should have been asleep, I caught her licking her scar by sticking her head out of the cone. The scar started to get these awful white clumps on it with green puss. I had to wait till wednesday (today) morning to take her back to Noah's ark and tell them everything. Well, I didn't know they were closed. My cat started to act weird, lethargic, and would just go hide in a corner now. I had no choice but to take her to another clinic. As it turned out, the cone that was given to her from Noah's Ark was too small on her, so it started leaving scars on her face and she was also able to reach her surgery scar while wearing it. She was probably licking herself at night and caused an infection. That's another big amount of money I had to lose to get her treated because noah's ark a) did not want to give me a cone and, b) gave me a cone that was too small on my cat just came out of surgery. I knew something was off when I first went in there and their super adorable clinic cat was morbidly obese and full of dandruff. 10/10 handsome boy still. read more

Zero stars is not low enough for the experience I had. I brought my young kitten in because she was lethargic, diarrhea, eyes leaking, just not in great health. I had adopted her three days before and her condition got worse. As I was waiting for the vet to get into the exam room, I heard two women yelling and swearing at each other. Turns out, a vet yelled at another vet tech during a surgery and she walked out in the middle of it. She literally left a cat on the table because another woman was screaming at her. Incredibly unprofessional and I feel awful for the owner and cat who had that experience. I was up next, and I heard the vet who was yelling at the one girl outside my room. When another worker was trying to explain my cat's symptoms I heard the vet say "I'm not hear to tell people how to live their lives but what the f**k am I supposed to do about this?" Maybe ...... your job??? You are a vet???? I almost walked out right there but I stayed for my poor kitten. She came in and hardly examined her and prescribed one antibiotic, after quoting me for more, because they didn't have all of them. On top of that, they didn't tell me and covered the area on the label that said I had to refrigerate the medication after opening it, so now I have to go back to get more. It was also gross and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The only positive was the two cats laying on the front desk, at least they were nice. For a place with a name like "Noah's Ark," there was not many Christian values to be practiced at this place. Save yourself the time and money and do not take your animal here read more

Brought my dog in to get some vaccinations updated and for a check up since my dog was having very soft stool. The tech made me hold my dog down during the shot (he was being difficult). I told her I wasn't comfortable doing that and felt like he would move during the shot. Her reaction was to keep showing me and her nails were so long it could have made it onto the guinness world record (unsafe). Didn't really wear gloves. Finally, she just kind of rolled her eyes and held him down herself. The Vet seemed disconnected and uninterested. She was very short with us and barely did anything. Didn't seem like she was listening to us. However, I give them 2 stars (instead of 1) because after we went home we realized that my dog had a moderate-severe reaction to the vaccination. They were about to close but waited for us to come in so they could check him out and give him a steroid shot to calm down the reaction. But when I got in there (after speaking to them on the phone) they thought my dog was a cat? They didn't even have anything ready and barely even pulled up his file (even though they knew we were coming in and it was serious). I guess I still appreciate that they waited and he did MUCH better once we got home. The place seemed dirty and unsanitary. Their cat was just roaming around free in the lobby/waiting area. My dog was going nuts. Cat kept coming real close to our dog carrier and even went into it when my dog was in the exam room. Really? If you care about your pet, please be cautious about bringing them to this place. read more

I completely agree with the review below from a yahoo user. I went on a Saturday for lower priced shots for our two puppies (!) and it was worth it. But what I think should've taken an hour or less, took about two and half. And I never met the doctor, only a vet tech. Service is terrible. One of the staff ladies was very nice, but didn't seem to know what she was doing, and the other front desk lady has been rude to me and other clients on multiple occasions. She acted like you were an idiot if you asked her any questions. Including questions on information that SHE should have already given you. While I know they bring shedding animals in and out all the time, the waiting room is really dirty. We took our pup there to get neutered and they neglected to inform me that he would need pain pills/anti-inflammatory and anti-biotics and didn't give them to me, and they didn't tell me he would need to come back to get his stitches out. Again. Terrible service. I'm a first time dog owner. These are things I don't know unless you tell me. After all this, our dog ended up getting an infection, and theres a really good chance he got it there. (makes me so mad!) I have not returned to Noah's Ark and have no intention to. My dog has had 2 post surgery complications because of the job they did spaying her. I never saw or spoke to the vet. I wasn't offered pain medications when I picked up my dog, & I paid extra after asking for them -- which I didn't mind paying. However, had I not known to ask, they would have simply let my dog suffer. Additionally, my dog was vomiting for 10 hours after anesthesia, which could have been from the medications they used, or simply that my dog reacts poorly to anesthesia. Please don't take your dog to this vet! read more

I took two of my dogs in for annual vaccinations and returned later for teeth cleaning (and small cyst removal). Their prices are very reasonable and my dogs received good care during both visits. The care they received was comparable to what I have experienced with vets who charge much higher prices. Dr. Kapp is a little reserved, but my impression is that she is more an animal person than a people person. That is fine with me. Her interaction with my animals is more important than whether she makes small talk with me. In addition, Noah's Ark has donated to two non profit organizations I am involved with. I agree with the reviews which mention a person at the front desk who isn't friendly or helpful. However, there is a very nice woman who is relatively new (I think her name is Kelly.) I called today to see if they had anyone there who could cut my dog's toenails. (I had been there one month earlier and had them cut my dog's nails). The lady on the phone said to come in the next 15 minutes. I arrived on time and let my dog out to go pee. When I came inside, the older lady at the desk, Kelly, had such an attitude. She thought I was a new customer, and I explained that I was just there one month earlier. She could not find me in the computer and was getting very frustrated. She asked why I was coming back so soon and I said because my dog's nails needed to be cut... duh! Another lady then came and took my dog, Lotto, into the back, clipped his nails, and returned. Kelly told me my bill would be $18.00. I asked why was it $18.00 when it was just $15.00 a month ago? She very rudely stated that prices go up! I then asked her, why are you being so rude to me? She replied, I am doing you a favor today, you were late, and I have had a rough day! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I lost it. I told her I don't care what kind of day she has had, I am a paying customer, and don't deserve to be treated like crap! Again I asked about the increase, she said that is the price today! She rudely walked off....I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! KELLY, YOU ARE A WITCH!! You need to take some lessons in customer service. The lady who clipped my dog's nails, did follow me out and tried to apologize for Kelly's behavior. That was nice, but as I explained, there is not excuse for being rude to customers. They saved my dog's life. My dog tested positive for heartworm and I was devasted. As a student my funds are very limited and heartworm treatment can be extremely expensive. I had been searching for 30 minutes and found them online. I called and they gave me an affordable price and managed to inform me about CareCredit. I have been taking my dog there ever since. They have affordable prices and the staff is very friendly. I remember visiting this vet, she told me to put my dog down because it was overly anxious.

2 rescue dogs recently suffered because of this place after spay/neuters. As I talk to others in community I hear more and more stories of them messing up simple surgeries or teeth cleanings. The 2 recent were rescues. 1 suffered so much in pain after neuter and died the next day. This was his chance to not die in a shelter and start a new life, now he's dead. The other wasn't medicated enough after neuter and was in so much pain he ripped his stitches that night. Now it's day by day. He will be there another week, which we cannot afford!!! He was saved from eu at shelter and may die instead. This is not fair to him at all. He may have to go back to shelter now because we cannot afford the extra week that was caused by their errors! This is not acceptable. 1 dog dead 3 weeks ago. 1 who may die now. Both due to neuters. Read other reviews, how is this place still in business and never disciplined by vetrinary board? They offer great rescue rates, but at what cost? Their lives are risked each time. Something needs to change. read more

I took my sick maltipoo puppy here for the first time and it has got to be the worse service I have ever received. I am a first time puppy owner the front desk lady is so scattered brain she doesn't know how to run a busy office. Her 3 10lb cats are walking around and jumping on everything as I am fearful for my pup. The dr diagnosed my pup with kennel cough I go to check out waiting on my meds the next day my pup is worse off and of course the office is closed so I have to pay for another vet services all to find out this office gave me the wrong medication for my dog.
