Shirazi salad, beet hummus, Joojeh Kabob

This place is INCREDIBLE. First off, I LOVE Shahs of Kabob but the location closest to me isn't that great so thank goodness for Noah's opening up! The chicken is so tasty and the shirazi salad is so crisp and fresh, it tastes like it came straight off the vine. Can't wait to come back and try the other things on the menu! If you want quality food, you will not be disappointed with this place.

Wow!!! The service! The Food!!! Outstanding!!! We literally ordered one of everythg on the menu and everythg was delicious. No complaints at all. The bronzino grilled to perfection and the baba ganoush one of the best I've had.

We had dropped into Noah's not planning to grub just for some good vibes, Shalom showed us impeccable hospitality and treated us to a lovely array of Mediterranean food, truly the best!

This time around, I had their cauliflower, zucchini latkes, Chicken Shawarma, and cabbage salad. The cauliflower dish comes with 3 florets that have been coated and fried in a semi sweet sauce. I liked the crunch and sauce pairing. The cabbage salad was something I had ordered before. The cabbage is cut so finely...I felt healthy and refreshed from this dish. Unfortunately, the zucchini latkes were a miss for me. The actual latkes were really hard. It was kind of like eating a pita chip, and I didn't get much flavor. I know the latkes are paired with applesauce to match with the traditional latkes, but I think having a Tzakiki sauce would have enhanced the taste. The other two were a hit, though. I loved the chicken shawarma and appreciated that it was served with a pita and small side of hummus. This dish was addicting. I was getting full at this point, but couldn't stop eating. The chicken was so flavorful and moist. You don't need the hummus because it's already so packed with flavor, but it was a nice addition. Overall, I appreciate Motek's take on classic Mediterranean dishes. They have a solid range of tapas and large plates, and the ambiance is always very peaceful and intimate.

I ordered a lychee martini while waiting and honestly, it was probably one of the best lychee martinis I've had. Unfortunately, the second one I ordered during dinner just didn't hit the same. Service-wise, everyone was very nice, but the pacing was definitely a little slow throughout the night. As far as the food, everything was good, but I wouldn't say it was the best dinner I've ever had. Some dishes really stood out while others fell a little flat. We started with the Hamachi Jalapeño, which was beautifully done. The fish was sliced perfectly and everything felt really balanced. The Thai grilled shrimp was phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite dishes of the night. We also ordered the A5 Wagyu hot stone. The quality of the Wagyu itself was good, but it was sliced extremely thin and topped with chunks of salt that made each bite overly salty. Personally, if you're serving Wagyu that thin, it really doesn't need much on top, let the meat speak for itself. The pork ribs were delicious: super tender, falling off the bone, and the glaze was incredible. The Peking duck is definitely a must-order here. Absolutely one of the best duck dishes I've had. The Wagyu fried rice had a ton of flavor and everything in it complemented each other really well. The biggest disappointment for me was the garlic lobster lo mein. I had heard so many good things about it beforehand, but honestly, I'd give it a 2/10. The noodles tasted plain, the lobster itself lacked flavor, and it was missing that rich buttery garlic flavor I was expecting. For dessert, we had the Japanese cheesecake. It was fluffy, light, and really good overall. The berry compote leaned a little bitter for my taste, but it didn't ruin the dish. Overall, it was a solid dinner experience with some standout dishes, but a few misses kept it from being a favorite for me.

I'll be honest, my visit to Komodo wasn't spontaneous. I recently finished reading David Grutman's…read morebook Take It Personal, and the values he shares around hospitality, culture, and creating unforgettable experiences moved me enough to want to show up in person and pay homage. Safe to say, Komodo lives up to every word. My server Lia was an absolute gem; warm, attentive, and genuinely personable from start to finish. Lia was supported by Ed, who made the experience seamless by clearing the table with care and even making sure my to-go box was perfectly prepped. The whole experience felt like an extension of what David writes about: hospitality that's intentional and personal.

We were sat inside near the bar/kitchen area. The restaurant overall had a very quaint vibe, close seating and bright vibrant decor. Yellow was a primary color through most of the decor. I really loved the tree aesthetic that looked like an old tree that was growing from the corners of the rooms up the wall and across the ceiling. I wasn't able to catch our server's name however they were very well knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We decided to do several apps versus getting individual meals as this restaurants theme is to have shareable plates. So many dishes, got the French and Turkish oven pita. Both were good and had different highlights. Loved the gold scissors provided to cut strips for sharing. Classic hummus which had to have been the smoothest hummus I've ever had. Zucchini Latkes were one of my favorite along with the Cauliflower. The seasoning on this was amazing, a bit sweet, and crispy outside. Crispy artichoke I could have done without. It was kinda like eating rice paper, odd texture. Had to try the baklava for dessert along with the pistachio cheesecake and the vanilla, mango and Nutella gelato. Nutella was my favorite. I'd keep on the short list next time I'm in the area.

We arrived about 9pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately. It was a perfect April evening in So Flo. The decor is modern and trendy. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We ordered our food and were told that the food comes out as its ready. So basically, don't expect order...lol. It worked out fine though, gratefully. We had the Humnus (tasty and fresh but a bit too creamy for two out of the three us at the tabel) with Laffa (served hot, it was yummy), Morrocan Cigars (yummy and good for at least two people), the Chicken Shawarma (which is dark meat and is seasoned perfectly) with grilled veggies (that tasted just a little bit too smoky), and the Harissa Honey Salmon with Greek Lemon Potatoes (they were super lemony but thats been par for the course at all of the Greek places I've ever been to). All of the food was well made and tasted delectable. We saw some delicious looking platters pass our table. The Crispy Chicken Shnitzel is on my radar for the next time I visit.

We tried the Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket, and it clearly is better than any other sandwich option. The soft pita wraps around warm, creamy hummus (honestly one of the best in the city), pickled red cabbage, Mediterranean pickles, and that well-seasoned chicken shawarma. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges. It's simple, very fresh, and filling in a clean way. One thing that stands out at Happeas is the personalized attention, you actually feel taken care of, and there's a good chance you'll meet the owner while you're there. The vibe is relaxed, not rushed, and they've thought about small details, like having a self-serve water machine with still and sparkling options, which is a nice touch. Overall, Happeas delivers honest, well-made food with flavors that feel intentional but not overdone. Great spot for a quick lunch that doesn't taste like a compromise.
