My sandwich was delicious, but these aren't authentic New York bagels. I grew up with New York bagels and even worked at a bagel shop so I have something to say about this. The marketing of the shop felt like they missed the mark, well they did miss the mark, it was a bit strange. Who is Noah? This is not authentic. The employees all on their phones while serving/cooking food... it's very unsanitary to be touching a phone while making food someone will consume.. also when they made the eggs they didn't spread out the seasoning which made supper unpleasant to eat we would get chunks of egg with lost of salt and pepper... the food was very very salty... both the bagel and the burrito. read more

Obviously, why they have three stars. If you're vegan, do not come to this place, they don't even have one spread for vegans, and when I asked the girl at the cashier questions, she has no idea if the spread had dairy or the bagels. I placed a mobile order and came in at the time my order was supposed to be ready. It wasn't yet and they were really busy so I sat down for about 20 minutes. I went up and asked them about my order once I saw people getting their food who came in later than me. They didn't even have our tickets on the line they were sitting off to the side. They kind of apologized and said they just have a lot of orders. I waited some more and then went up and asked again after it had almost been an hour. I wouldn't be making this review if the cashier seemed to care that our order was long. She just kept saying "sorry we have a lot of other orders". I work in customer service and I know stuff happens but she was not very helpful or empathetic as people who had been coming in after us we're getting their food before us. I came in to purchase two dozen bagels in a box this morning at around 7am and was told I couldn't place that order in store?? They would be able to give me the bagels but not in a box for some reason. Mind you, this option is available thru the app. So I went ahead and just placed an order on my phone while in the store and they were able to fulfill that order somehow. My order was supposed to come with 4 shmears and the cashier assisting me told me it was just two when I double checked with them. I had to pull up the app again after going to my car to reread the description, and lo and behold, it was indeed 4 shmears I should've initially got. Had to go back in and get the remainder of my shmears. Lastly, I ordered two coffee boxes (different flavors) and the flavors weren't marked on the boxes. read more

You standard Noah's Bagels here. I really like their spread choices; all of them are always so good and extremely smooth, fluffy, creamy. Their sandwich choices are also pretty great. I've made lots of large orders in advance here and it's gone well. My large orders are usually for 80-100 people. However, I once made a large order here the morning of an impromptu lunch meeting. I was given confirmation of the order and payment. I had set the delivery time to be half an hour before the meeting and nothing was delivered. Upon calling the branch, they said that the order was put in too last minute for them to complete. Mind you, I had done it first thing in the morning, so there was several hours to get this done. The issue here is that it is absolutely unprofessional as they had taken payment and sent a confirmation invoice. I completely understand not being able to get this done in time, but if that was the case, they should have not accepted the order in the first place. Their response was they they were sorry and they will refund the amount to my card. I say large order, but it was an impromptu meeting of about 15-20 persons. I could have driven out and picked up enough bagels for everyone. It's not that big of a party. 20 bagels? Some coffee and orange juice? I've ordered other places and when I order large amounts, it must be placed a week in advance. The thing is, they actually tell you on their site and also will not allow you to choose any earlier date than the listed delivery dates and times. In summary, placed delivery order, received confirmation and invoice, card got charged, didn't get anything delivered, called them for inquiry, got an apology that it was too last minute and they will refund amount to card. If I didn't call, they probably wouldn't have even refunded the amount because they didn't bother to inform us they decided to not fulfill the order on their own. read more

They've seemed to slow the spread of fast and good service. The vibe in here is that everyone in the place has been waiting long for their food. Some guy just said he's been waiting for his order 20 min. And maybe all the mobile orders are increasing in-person customer wait times. Just heard a female worker say "it's not our fault we have DoorDash". You mean it's not your fault you guys are still in business and getting orders?! The young male employee who took my order was non-attentive when he took my order and was distracted a few times. Did not even give me my receipt then he disappeared to the back, nor ever said Hi, or thank you during the transaction. Way to go, and they have 6 people working this shift but I guess that's still not enough. Love the Nova Lox bagel sandwich!!! Came here on the way to the Great Mall with the boyfriend for lunch since I had a gift card and was craving a lox sandwich. Food, as per usual for Noah's, was superb. Love the chewy consistency of their bagels and the fresh baked flavor. I always order the Nova Lox sandwich. Lox and capers gave a salty bite to balance out the smooth cream cheese, and the cucumbers and tomatoes rounded out the sandwich with a fresh hint. Came with either a bag of potato chips or a potato salad and a slice of pickle. Not too many people for a Saturday around noon. Got a little busier around 1-ish. Sitting area is quite clean as opposed to the bathroom which was a bit of a mess. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, a typical location for a Noah's. Cashier didn't acknowledge people standing in front of registers that weren't being used even after looking their way. There was no verbal guidance as to where the line started. No greeting at the register to give me the impression that he was ready to take my order. Just awkward silence. I took a look at their employee board only to realize the cashier was a shift lead. Great food, but don't ever try calling to make phone order. I've called at least 2, maybe 3 times to make a phone order so I wouldn't have to wait when I get there. What they do after answering is ask me to hold and then place the phone down right next to the register, forcing me to listen to 10 minutes of them serving in-store customers. Why can't they take a quick 30-60 seconds to take a phone order? I literally called them from cell phone while I pulled out of the driveway of my East San Jose home, AND I WAS STILL ON HOLD WHEN I GOT TO THE STORE. Let me remind you, this has happened 2 or 3 times to me, which means it's probably happened to other people as well. The management needs to either: (1) Hire more customer-service oriented employees, (2) Train them better, (3) Change the policy for phone orders to reduce wait times, or... (4) DO ALL 3 By the time I got to the store I didn't have time to place an order and wait around for them to cook it, so I ended up leaving empty-handed & hungry. Frustrated, I called back after I left to speak to the manager, but their phone system wouldn't even let me get through to a real person anymore! That morning I almost drove to Bagel Street Cafe because I had a hankering for a breakfast bagel sandwich. It is funny because no matter where I get it, nothing compares to the breakfast bagel sandwich from New York City. Did you know you can have bagels delivered in New York? I was there in New York City this time last year. It is a food lover's paradise and I miss it very much. San Francisco is somewhat similar yet so different on many levels. For instance- they stop serving/selling alcohol at 4AM, their MTA is a 24 hour operation, and they have THE best food choices. On a budget? A slice of cheese pizza can cost just $.99. Feeling hungry after a night of gallivanting but have a fear of American mediocre food? I am referring to Denny's, IHOP, and fast food chains. New York offers Crif Dogs (I had a Philly type of dog my first night there), The Meatball Shop, Blue Ribbon Brasserie, the halal cart on 53rd, Cafeteria, Mamoun's Falafel... just to name a few. New York City captured my heart the second I landed at JFK. It was my first time there and thanks to NYC Subway KICKmap (an app), I got from JFK to Bushwick w/o any problems. I stayed at The New York Loft Hostel and it was so pleasant. I did not want to leave and I find myself yearning the Big Apple from time to time because I like the city life - I love it over there. Back to Noah's Bagels. That morning our customer, Gjalt bought us bagels and cream cheese "spreads". The bagels were very dense and the spread, I chose the vegetable something spread was tasty and it incorporated well w/ the blueberry bagel. I had a bagel for breakfast and a bagel for lunch that day. The whole wheat bagel was super dry... I did not like it one bit. Fear not. This weekend I bought bagel thins (for diet purposes), fat free cream cheese (also for diet purposes), and jalapeño smoked turkey (also for diet purposes otherwise I would have chosen pastrami) so that I can make a healthy breakfast bagel sandwich in the morning. I can make a pretty mean New York City knockoff. I have a sandwich presser and I use it wisely! I have pepper jack cheese and fat free cheddar that will be melted down to cheesy-gooey goodness. I used to eat so much from here, that people are shocked I didn't get sick of it! Our company used this Noah's TONS that we were practically VIP's here! For breakfast we would get bagels, muffins, yogurt/fruit catered. I would make sure to always order my sesame bagel with jalapeno shmear, and they would remember my order without me even asking for it too! For lunch, I would switch back and forth with the lox bagel sandwich which was so freaking delicious, or the City or Caeser salad. I usually went with the City salad more, since I like having walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in my salad. Their caesers are good as well, but not too keen on adding chicken, since their chicken could be a bit dry. Their sandwiches are also pretty good, but the lox bagel sandwich was definitley my fave. Add on kettle chips, and its a complete meal! Lola would always deliver our orders, and sometimes she would forget a thing or two, but she always came back just in time! read more
