Do get their filled donuts. Those were a "hit" with my coworkers. Do not get their apple fritter. I could not taste or "feel" any apples being present. Been here a few times now and it's always a pleasant experience. Lots of donut options with reasonable prices, quality is nice and fresh. Stopped by specifically to try their donut holes with custard this weekend and was lucky to get the last dozen and a half. Custard was pumped into the donuts fresh- not too sweet and not too much custard, which is perfect. We tried Christy's again since we were craving custard donut holes and apple fritter's. Christy's has new owners. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the donut's quality and taste. The donut holes were filled with custard, but the custard had a sour taste to it. The apple fritter wasn't what we are accustomed to. It was a piece of round dough that was just glazed. It did not have the crispy texture and it hardly had any pieces of apple in it. We were hoping that we could satisfy our donut cravings here, once again, since we live so close to the shop. I've been going to this spot for over 10+ years and the quality and service has always been top tier. This is the mom and pop donut shop that I grew up with and I don't dare to go to another spot (unless I'm desperate). The staff is always so welcoming and kind and to the point where I went every other day and they remembered my order. Their donut holes or squares are huge so you get more bang for your buck. Came by around 1pm on a weekday, and they were stocked with lots of delectable options in the display case. From various flavors of donuts (and cream-filled donut holes) to numerous sandwiches on the wall menu, I couldn't choose, so I got a little bit of both, plus an iced mocha, which they typically do blended. I appreciated that the ladies behind the counter honored my request to just get it iced. It was smooth and creamy, and sweet with a nice chocolatey flavor, went well with the fresh-tasting chocolate glazed donut and breakfast sandwich with a soft flaky croissant almost too big for the yummy sausage patty, egg, and cheese inside. I've been a regular here as small as I can remember. It pains me to say this but I haven't had much disappointments here until today. I ordered my regular bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I got home and found sharp metal pieces underneath. It was completely inedible. I could have had these pieces stuck in my throat. Of course before posting, I called the shop to warn them and explain to them that they should check their microwave or their trays. I told them I could send them pictures of what I was talking about for them to better understand what happened and I said I didn't want to put this on Yelp. I was upset with how they handled the situation because they didn't seem too worried about what happened so here I am. They apologized but said they clean their microwaves everyday. I mean, I'm sure they do but just their response and the way they handled it was disappointing like they didn't care that something dangerous could've happened to their customers. My husband goes to the chiropractor near Christy's and he'll occasionally come home with donut holes from Christy's. We are huge fans of the custard and chocolate filled donut holes. Stopped by for a quick Doughnut sugar rush and wasn't disappointed. They had doughnut holes with Custard and lemon filling The Apple Fritters were alright and I got a Peanut Chocolate covered and Coconut covered doughnut. I went about a week later after 9am on the weekend but a lot of the selection was slim to none. Very friendly owners and are very helpful. Also plenty of parking and it is a stone's throw away from a chain coffee place and near the freeway access point. That got me to come all the way here for these babies!! Good service. These are not your average donut holes that I usually find. These are square or rectangular, and generously filled with creme but get this...with other flavors besides chocolate!!! The prices are very reasonable for this size and their other donuts. Of course, it's a cash only place and they have other regular donuts like other donut shops. They have huge pretty good apple fritters and huge croissants. I didn't find the croissants very buttery though but dry. They make these huge for their sandwiches. Sunday = fun day because after a long night of pidgining, and billying it up a soft, warm, bagel stuffed with eggs n bacon is all i need. This small on the go style bagel shop is just what we need every morning. Not only that but the service here is unbeatable as the workers are so sweet. Christy's donuts was always a huge staple for the morning munchies, but with my most previous visit, i decided to order an eclair, two dozen donut holes all filled with custard. I often crave these sweet treats, but it was really disappointing to take a bite only to taste custard that had probably went bad as it carried this disgusting sour taste every time i took a bite out of everything. I truly used to love this place, but I'm a bit traumatized by the sour custard which means i won't be coming back.
