Shopped around they gave me the best price and stuck to the price after getting here to open a locked storage shed.. He also made keys for the two locks all for the quoted price!! Well worth it!!! Be careful as a lot of the locksmith comanies will over price you. When requesting a quote from Yelp's awesome quote system send pics of the locks and brand name information if possible. Don't fall for "It could be $$ or more". That could lead in to it mostly being "more" after the job is done. read more

The battery would die out within a month...I replaced battery each month until today and thought that the owner would understand how hard I tried to make sure it wasn't some bad lot of batteries that I bought... It wasn't my duracell batteries.. It was the key fob.. And it was less than 6 months ago...I hope that you will not trust that this company will have your back especially since the owner would only have me buy another key fob for 140 bucks and not charge me for the programming...I had already paid 200 plus dollars as it is... This is the first time I have ever done a review about a business... But they just wasted my money and feel they have no need to reimburse me or fix this situation... Noble indeed. My car's fob was no longer starting my car, so I thought it might need to be reprogramed. I asked for quotes from five (5) businesses on Yelp. Shawn responded within minutes, suggesting that I change the fob's battery, and informing me that reprograming would be a waste of money. I responded that I already changed the battery to no avail, and Shawn asked me to make sure that the new battery was correctly placed. I assured him that it was, and he gently urged me to take a closer look. He was right. I flipped the battery to negative side up (even though the car's manual says for the positive side to be up), and wouldn't you know, it worked. Half hour, then an hour later, two other companies responded to my initial request, neither of them asking any questions, and both quoting $250 for reprogramming. Integrity and goodwill make a lasting impression. I now have Noble Locksmith in my Contacts list, so when I DO need any key-related service, I will positively call them. Thank you, Shawn. read more

I was in the middle of a move and misplaced my car key. It was a Friday and I was driving out of town on Monday, so I needed a key. I called Noble and they came out that afternoon. When I tested the replacement key, it had to be pressed a few times to actually open the door lock. The tech just shrugged his shoulders and I thought perhaps it would take time to reprogram itself. It never worked correctly and in fact, became worse and worse over time. By six weeks in, I was having to use the valet key to lock my vehicle since the electronic lock did not work. Extremely frustrating since Noble had charged me $300 for the replacement. A few weeks later, after receiving my belongings from the mover, I located my original key and the spare and paid another company to reprogram them since they no longer worked after Noble programmed the replacement key. So happy to have working keys now. read more

Failed to manufacture and program a key for my Subaru. And, in the process of failure, murdered the electrical components that enable the dealership to make the key. Had to strip my car and send out the part to NJ for a total price tag of $2000. Shawn the owner communicated with me during the process but flatly denied culpability (which isn't surprising). Second time I've used them for key fobs and they are great. Great prices but the real benefit to using them is that they know what they are doing and actually make you a key fob and quickly. I drove 40 minutes to get to their La Mesa location to get a duplicate FOB made. After 45 min, they said the new FOB was defective and I'd have to come back. They didn't have another to try so they said they would order another and I could make an appointment in 5-6 days. I asked if they could express order the key, they said sure if I paid. They offered to come out to my home but that would be an additional $60 on top of the $300 fee for the new FOB, and no, they couldn't guarantee the next FOB would work and wouldn't split the on additional site fee. At no point did they acknowledge my time loss (2.5 hours drive to and back and wait) or the cost of gas - all of which would double if I was to return. They said, "sorry", and seemed truly surprised when I asked them, "Exactly why would you think that I will do this all again when you have not shown any consideration or indication appreciation to me, but expect me to have enough loyalty to you to do this all again with no guarantees?" I said, "No, I won't be back," and left. Later, the owner wrote me claiming I had been extremely rude to his staff and he didn't want me as a customer. Today, I called Joe, a locksmith up in the Adams Ave area. He said he would be out to my home with in the hour. He programed the new FOB in 1/2 hour, made an emergency key that just opens the door, and put a new battery in my old FOB. He charged me $310. Joe is excellent at his trade - and as a business man - who appreciates your business and is smart about keeping it. read more

So I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case, I feel I have to. I called this business ahead of time asking if they could make a duplicate car key with the automatic remote/fob. I wanted to have a backup in case something happened to the original. I was quoted $239 plus tax, and that it would take 20-30 min. I went to their location and waited for over an hour. They ended up breaking my original key remote. To make matters worse, they said they had a problem "hacking" into my car to program the remote. After breaking the original, they gave me $40 off and charged me $211 for a new remote...I just wanted to get a duplicate. Not only did they break my original key fob, they killed my car battery and had to jumpstart it so that the car would function. A few days later, my car battery was dead, adding another unnecessary expense for me. Finally, after this entire fiasco, I was told "next time you should go to the dealership if you want a key." read more

I called several locksmiths near Santee about replacing a doorknob and lock on my parent's security screen door; Noble was first to say they could be there that day (within a few hours, nonetheless). [Full disclosure...I THOUGHT I could replace it myself, pulled it apart and soon realized WHY we have locksmiths in the World.] The office person was immediately kind, cheerful, and reassuring. She let me know a tech would be out within 1.5 hours; he showed up within an hour. Bonus! It was a challenging lock and the tech knocked it out in about 45 mins. It seemed pretty quick. I don't recall exactly what the cost was, but I remember being happy I didn't feel ripped off, so definitely reasonable when you consider the level of service and caliber if workmanship.
