For a Friday the 13 the wait wasn't as long as I had expected. The ink was great the artist took his time a place I would go again.

Called in advance to ask about getting a piercing. They told me the piercer was in and was able to accept walk-ins. So I travel 20 minutes to this shop and when I get there, the piercer says she can't pierce today because she doesn't have her stuff. I told her I called to confirm and they told me the piercer is able to see clients and walk-ins. The piercer says "we could keep going back and forth but I don't have my stuff to do a piercing on you today". Super unhelpful, super rude, and did not try to take accountability for wasting my time. The business looks dead and now I know why. Take your money and time somewhere else where it is appreciated! read more

From a memorial piece to something fun and whimsical, he has done an excellent job with both black and gray work and color work! I think heartbroken is the only word I can use. I'd give it one star but everyone was super nice and friendly, it was a clean shop, and pricing is fair. However. I came in specifically asking for a fine line specialist and Jason was in and said he did fine line work. I looked at his portfolio and it seemed like he did good, consistent work. I had mentioned that this was in honor of my grandma, who loved her wine, I had a reference photo which was stenciled and everything. Assuming the stencil is just being traced I thought even if he doesn't do fine line, he's a tattoo artist and any tattoo artist should be able to at least be able to trace a stencil.. Because it's on the back on my ankle I wasn't able to get a good look until I had taken a photo and zoomed in after I left. I have all fine line tattoos and I have to say this is definitely my worst one. I might get it lasered off or see if another artist can salvage it. The lines are wobbly and crooked, it's not connected and it's not symmetrical. I was also told by another tattoo artist that the white that was done on the glass was done too deep and scarred me. I'm embarrassed to say this is the tattoo for my grandma, she deserves something pristine and clean. I'm really upset with this, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Came here last night for a few Friday the 13th piercings! Only $20 a piercing (included jewelry). I did a walk in without an appointment and only waited about 5 min. The piercer did an awesome job super quick, confident, and communicative. I planned to just get the other side of my nostril pierced but decided to have some fun and have the piercer pick an ear piercing for me too. He did a surprise daith piercing with a 18 gauge gold hoop. It's so perfect and delicate! I was pleasantly surprised! I literally had no clue what he was going to pierce. Although I'm not picky at all with piercings, he picked the perfect piercing and jewelry to fit my style. Would def come back again for more piercings! I can't remember the piercer's name (sorry!) but he's Filipino, outgoing, and friendly. read more

Worst experience ever. Went in for a tattoo had asked for black in and color. I had to come back for retouching. 1. They didn't finish 2. He went over the wrong line ... now I have 2 different lines. 3. As he was doing the tattoo one of the other employees there was rushing us out with a bad attitude. I got two tattoos done by Mario. He does a fantastic job with cover ups and shading. I had a homemade banksy on my back and he covered it up with a rose. The shading is beautiful and I can't even see the banksy that is underneath it. I came back and got a scorpion on my leg. Too much time goofing off instead of working on customer. Wouldn't honor the yelp deal. Didn't seem interested in working on my tattoos. I get in, filling in tattoos is boring. But if I'm about to pay you $100 for 30 minutes, c'mon. And Sage seemed more interested in his yelp reviews than in working with the customer. I was a walk in. Won't walk in there again. Finally got a tattoo! I had been wanting one for a few years but was just waiting for the right time and now was right! The design I got was something specific I had in mind for awhile. I didn't want to be that guy that went in with no plan getting a tattoo just to get one. I chose this shop specifically because my cousin's have used them multiple times. They get work done by a guy named Mario but I didn't want to commit to a day so I just walked in randomly last Friday. I was matched up with Jay. I make it sound like I'm Tindering hahaha.. He was next in line I guess, it was empty so the only wait I had was for him to prep the design and his workstation. Everyone in their is real friendly and especially Jay. Also very professional. The tattoo went quick and he did a really good job. He also gave me the aftercare rundown so I know what to expect with the healing. I was more nervous about the design coming out like I wanted rather than the tattoo hurting when getting it LOL. My friends were with me and one of them is terrified for me hahaha, it's safe to say he will not be getting any tattoos in the future. They have 5 stars for a reason because they do amazing work! You can see for yourself here and in the shop. I even got a few compliments on the way to the ATM to get money for the tattoo. BTW it is cash only, so keep that in mind before going. They are going through a name change currently to Black Mirror, so maybe in the future soon they aren't this but I absolutely recommend coming here if you are looking to get ink done! read more

My tattoo is only half finished but I'm going to see a different artist at a different shop. One of the artists (who I will not name but he'll know whom he is) is putting his clients in danger by not wearing a mask and convincing others to take off their masks too. He was vaping while he worked, shouting along to the music and probably spitting all over the area I was getting inked. I regretted my decision to go there pretty quickly but wanted to finish the first round. He brought politics into the shop, telling me he was not vaccinated because 'he doesn't trust the fu**ing government' and urged me to take my mask off. He kept alternating between whining and bragging about his life and constantly tried one-upping me, telling me I had 'no idea how hard it is for a white, Generation X man in his 40's'. Meanwhile, my abuse-surviving, totally queer and minority ass was rolling my eyes and said nothing. He was a misogynist on top of it, using Buddhist sayings to back up his disgusting rants. He did this in FRONT of my girlfriend, I was so ashamed and intimidated by him that I said nothing but I felt burning rage inside. He implied women all have it easier than men and said, "A key that opens many locks is a good key, but the lock that accepts many keys is a bad lock". Very juvenile reference to genitalia and hateful rhetoric. I don't know how women stand to be around a man like this. I walked in and noticed a woman getting tattooed while drinking out of a large beer can and vaping marijuana in the room. I don't think this is even legal from what I've heard. My best advice to anyone reading is to save yourself the pain and go to someone you can really trust and respect rather than dealing with a 42 year old, bitter man-child. Oh, he also didn't cover my tattoo properly. The area remained uncovered as soon as the plasma started leaking. read more
