My husband and I just ordered here for the first time and I'm embarrassed to say that after we put in our delivery order, we realized we live walking distance, whoops! We have a friendly old man who serves fresh meat to order. It is perfectly packed and delicious. Uts reasonably priced yet yiu don't have much meat for orice if you get what I'm looking for. Good quality food, but beware - their prices are considerably higher than what their fliers and current website advertise. They also charge an extra 4% if you use credit card (something they don't mention either). I received one of their fliers at my house recently, and decided to try them for takeout. I checked the flier's prices versus their website (which was slightly higher), and ordered 4 items. I forgot to ask for the final price over the phone, and they didn't volunteer it to me. When I came by to pick up the food, I was very surprised to find the amount was about 25% higher than I expected. When I asked the employee about this and showed the flier, he said the flier was old and the prices were out of date. I said I just received the flier a few days ago, and he took it and ripped it up, saying it was no good. I begrudgingly paid and left. Here's my #COVID19 and #OrderFoodLA review for NoHo Shawarma House! I ordered via Postmates and the delivery was fast! Everything was packaged carefully and the boxes were big! That's how you know they give you a generous serving! :) I've been meaning to try some solid shawarma for a few days now and was disappointed by some other options near Sherman Oaks/Encino delivery area. After a few failed attempts, I found some semblance of relief from this place! I got the Chicken Shawarma Plate with Fries ($9.99!) and the Falafel Sandwich ($5.99). The former came with salad, hummus, and a mountain of chicken and fries topped with garlic sauce, red onions, and cilantro. There were a LOT of chicken and fries! I basically tore my pita into two and made TWO big wraps. It was delicious and all for 9.99 bucks! You'll definitely get bang for your buck. As for the Falafel Sandwich, I'll be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan. While the wrap, the sauce, the salad were all packed in nicely with 4 big falafels, the falafels themselves weren't seasoned. I'm cutting a point JUST for that. But if they were, it would've been fantastic. The fries were crispy, the price was more than fair, the portion sizes were huge - I definitely recommend! We settled on NoHo Shawarma House but the quality of the food was far from "settling." Chicken Shawarma: Fluffy rice topped with chicken breast, hummus and side salad. It tasted very fresh and filled me up beyond belief. Chicken Lula: YUM. This dish smelled so good and tasted even better. It was cooked to perfection. Chicken Wings (mild): I was shocked at how good the wings were and how juicy. I was craving wings and decided to give them a go and couldn't have been happier selecting them. To start with, they didn't do my order correctly, so when I called in they said it's not their fault and I'm wrong, although i ordered for 3 people and all three were right next to me. When I brought that up one of the worst employees I've had honour to talk to told me that "in case I haven't noticed, everything got expensive in America like 20 days ago", get it? And the food was horrible, either it was old or substandard but we were not able to finish it. But the worst of it was their attitude and the speaking tone. A kebab and shawarma place that actually uses charcoal to grill their meat! I randomly found this place on Yelp helping a friend move to his new place in North Hollywood. It didn't have great reviews, but it offered online ordering, which swayed our decision. Pulling up to the place, I was pleasantly surprised to see them using a traditional kebab grill in front of the restaurant. It was raining and they even had an awning setup for it. Most places use a indoor gas grill to grill their meat, which doesn't give that char or flavor that you can only get from charcoal. We ordered 3 shawarmas: chicken, beef, and pork. The pork is not a traditional meat for shawarma, but it turned out to be the best of the 3. We ordered it on bread instead of a wrap, which I recommend. We also ordered a beef lula kebab sandwich. The flavor was good, but the meat was cold. It could've been that we waited to long to pick it up or eat it. read more

I had the beef shawarma plate and my partner had the beef shawarma wrap, both of us picked out 2-3 big chunks of gristle during the course of our meal and neither of us could detect any sort of seasoning. The rice with my meal was plain-ass rice, and the meat was absolutely SMOTHERED with SO MUCH MAYO I could scarcely tell where the rice ended and the meat began. Best service ever!!! This was first time we ordered from here. The person we spoke to over the phone was so sweet and patient. So sorry I didn't get his name down. There was a small hiccup with our order but since we just tried this type of food for the first time we ended up eating the wrong order. The delivery guy ( by the way was a free delivery) called ya to let us know. Unfortunately we were so hungry we were already half way through the food. He came back a few mins later to apologize and even gave us the correct order free of charge. The delivery guy was not rude at all I have not gotten this kind of deliver service!!! What might get your taste buds going once you see the older gentleman barbecuing some meat out in the parking lot. Look, the food was not the issue at all.
