Wish we had a 3.5 star option. Friendly staff and pretty quick food. You have to order at the counter and then your food will come to your table. For the prices that's ok..portions are small but everything is bland. Meat is great well seasoned maybe even over seasoned and do not know why it would be spicy but it is. Everything here is amazing the food the service and the atmosphere. Some of the best Mediterranean food I have had. Not many places give you an option of chicken thigh or chicken breast on a kebab and that should tell you a lot right there .... Found this place on yelp today and must say what a hidden GEM it is. Family ran business with the absolute best tasting kabob I've had in the local community. Lamb chops definite must! I love this place for takeout and the dine-in experience is just as great. This is a great local, family-run spot to support. The service is warm and quick, and the interior is spacious and quiet. I'd be surprised if there's ever a long wait-time to sit down. If you dine-in, it might just feel like you've rented the entire restaurant out. This time I got a beef lule place with french fries, pita bread, eggplant caviar, and tubule, another plate of beef shish kabobs with hummus, rice, pita bread, and roasted tomato, and we were given a complimentary walnut baklava. I loved the richness of the eggplant caviar, the acidity of the tubule, the perfectly seasoned, tender beef lule, and crisp exterior or the french fries. What really took me by surprised was the baklava. It was flakey, nutty, and not overly-syrupy or sweet with a crunchy, lightly candied top shell. I also enjoyed the Georgian lemonade, which wasn't really lemonade but actually a soda. I'm told it tastes like Big Red, but I can't confirm since I've never had that soda. read more

I googled a new spot to try and found them near my house. It's out of the way near all industrial businesses so you would never expect it but there is a lot of parking space. The restaurant is also pretty big with a lot of tables so seating won't be an issue. Their service is great. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and was helped with anything I needed. The lady was very friendly and accommodating. We ended up ordering 4 skewers, 2 drinks (yogurt and san pellegrino) and jalapeno hummus. The hummus came with small pita but since we are on a no carb diet she brought us small cucumbers on the house. The food came out all in one big plate family style. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Not too dry or undercooked. We ordered chicken lule, beef skewer, pork skewer, and pork ribs. All of that combined with drinks and hummus came out to be $83. Delicious food AND extremely affordable? I will definitely be coming back PS: Pork ribs were the MVP, definitely must try read more

We found a great Mediterranean Restaurant here in Burbank and it's a family owned. Very nice ambiance, food was so yummy and very delicious. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We have a fantastic dinner night and mostly excellent service. A huge shoutout to NINA, who served us, for making our night very special and fun. She told us the name of all the appetizers and all different kind of meat that was so tender and juicy. We reserved the entire restaurant for a business lunch and it was amazing, start to finish! Margaret and Nina did a phenomenal job planning with us and sending us menu and space options. They were very accommodating for and communicative about our group's many dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, soy free, and dairy free). They prepped the space so well for our group of 40 (four long tables that seated 10 each) and we were even able to hook up a laptop to one of the TVs to show slides. Everyone RAVED about the food -- they served us family style, and every single dish was incredible. The quantities were extremely generous as well. We had gluten-free pita for GF folks, falafel for vegetarian folks, and noted which dishes contained dairy or soy. We had tabouleh, pickled veggies, salad, hummus, pita, skewers, beef and chicken, and rice, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The Eldora (milk pie), baklava, and Armenian coffee for dessert sealed the deal for everyone. This was extremely affordable price-wise as well. This place is bomb. I have been here 4 times and always get the same thing (chicken kabob with no rice, all Greek salad with hummus and yogurt). Their chicken get marinated for 24 hours and is delicious. Food comes out fast and staff are friendlym I just have 2 recommendations for them: 1. The olives in the Greek salad from today's visit, all had pit in there. Almost broke my tooth. I recommend removing them or letting the customers know. 2. The big wall across from the mirror side is too bland. A few picture frames would make the interior pop/nicer. I will definitely go back here again when I have clients in the area. read more

Mediocre at best. We came from the airport and thought with so many reviews it would be a fun place to try. Took SO. LONG. to cook our food and it wasn't very very flavorful. The prices were high for the quantity and quality. We left unsatisfied and wishing we could go have another lunch. The staff was very nice. The place was a big room with big tables and a loud tv. From some of the photos it seems like it gets busy so I assumed it was tasty and comfortable. Not so much of either. I didn't know the difference until I knew it.. haha Here is my Mediterranean paradise. main: salmon + chicken lule + rice side: eggplant caviar + yogurt cucumber Their rice has an aromatic scent that I've never found anywhere else. It makes it's very very very good and goes really well with charcoal-grilled meat. I requested a mix of salmon and chicken lule half-half into one plate, which turned out to be a right decision because I love these two types of meat and they're just GREAT here. Salmon literally melts in the mouth and chicken lule is very tender. Also, perfect seasoning! If you're undecided, just for the charcoal, it's worth it. I really appreciate their effort of charcoal grilling under 110+ heat - probably comparable to having a Christmas fireplace in Sahara desert. I was visiting from out of town and starving. My family tasked me with picking a spot for a late lunch. I yelped for Armenian food and came across Tonir and a five-star review my mom left 8 years ago!!! Needless to say, the food is still great. My mom remembered one of the staff who still works there and chatted with them for a bit. It was a sweet moment. We ordered food at the bar to enjoy at the restaurant. No one was there, but during our meal, a couple parties stopped by. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare, which my mom also remembered. However, with food this good, it doesn't matter...at least to us. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken kabob plate (toum, rice, hummus, and tzatziki) and literally ate everything. My mom got the lule kabob plate with rice, tabouleh, and hummus. My aunt got the chicken kabob with French fries, pickled veggies, and hummus. The French fries were great and I'm glad she got them. The pickled veggies also came with a nice assortment. It was nice to have multiple people to try multiple sides ;) We were all so happy to share a meal together at Tonir's and look forward to returning soon.
