Had such a terrible experience in this place. As soon as I sat with one of the male techs, he started to glue the tips on my fingers without ensuring if they fit first. Then the acrylic layer was so thick and bumpy all around. He huffed and puffed the entire time making me feel like I was wrong for asking for my nails a specific way. I think he needs a lot more training on how to do nails and not make the client feel bad. I walked out of there with the ugliest acrylic set and paid $80 for them. NEVER AGAIN!! Made an appt Sat for a quick repair. On my way in I received a call from the gentleman who made my appt informing me that he was just told not to schedule appts for repairs on weekends. Said to come in and he'd get me in with first available tech. After sitting there for 30 min's and watch another walk-in get seated immediately, I walked out. They don't want repairs because they don't charge if the nails were done there. The reason I needed the repair was the same reason I left last year. Their shellac chips off in about 2 weeks. Normally can go 3-3 1/2 weeks. read more

One star only so I can write this review and warn others. This is hands down the worst pedicure I have ever had. The tech only scrubbed one foot, did not trim all of my cuticles and barely filed nails (most are jagged and crooked). So I'll have to file and repaint them myself. Do Not Waste Your Money Here!! Not to mention, I paid for the upgraded pedicure but the entire experience was less than 30min. Tech rushed and did a poor quality job. Spent more time letting them dry than the actual service. I wish I read reviews. Although I had been there for a few appointments without any real issues, Kevin removed/replaced my set after only a couple of weeks and charged me $90. I went back this past Thursday for a fill and was charged another $60 for a fill. I also got a simple pedicure (by a gal that was clearly in training) and was charged $30, which is reasonable. The receipt said $60 for a "special" and $30 for the pedicure. I plan to dispute this with the salon manager and hopefully won't have to go any further. $150 in one month is a little much for me. I should have been more vocal and aware at the front desk, but was rushed through the process which is no excuse I know. It's an embarrassing situation and i I think they play on that. read more

I worked at Noire the Nail Bar as a receptionist for five months in 2024 and when I first started, I was trained in 3 days by someone that worked with them for five years. After I started she quit soon after, it took me a full two months to properly understand their system and every time I'd ask for help or made an error they'd get mad saying I should know what I am doing but I felt as if I didn't get proper training, and I was vocal many times to the boss (Kim) and while the pay was decent then my other jobs at the time, the overall experience was not worth it. The management was terrible- there were no proper breaks, and employees (both receptionist and nail techs) were expected to juggle multiple responsibilities at once, including answering phone calls, managing walk-ins, and dealing with cash transactions along with gift cards. Instead of support, it often felt like I was just expected to figure things out on my own. If you're looking for a job with structure and fair treatment, I'd recommend looking elsewhere there's a lot more I didn't put in this review, but these are the main issues of this job. (If you are currently working at this facility and try to do your taxes, they send you a NON-EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION FORM meaning they do not consider you to be an employee) read more

I have been a long time customer of this establishment and for the past year have asked for Quinn/Chris/the owner because I like the way he shapes my nails. He just did my gel manicure and I guess it wasn't left under the UV light long enough to cure because when he told me to go wash my hands it smudged the topcoat. He got super upset and when I sat back down at his table he yelled at me and then he continued to berate me and say it was my fault the whole time that he fixed his mistake. I am a very patient person but to yell at somebody and then continue to be nasty with them because you made a mistake is the wildest experience I've ever had with customer service. Needless to say I will never go back here. Super disappointed. Also, very interesting now reading prior reviews where he also yelled at customers. read more

It is my understanding that Luan H. (aka "Chris") is the owner of this establishment. If that is the case, I am done with Noire Nail Bar in Punta Gorda. I have been a customer of "Kevin's" for several months and have been very pleased. Today "Kevin" was busy, so I had "Chris," who would not tell me his real or American name. He said it was "Kevin 2" or "Vietnam," then proceeded to speak with a very exaggerated Vietnamese accent. Not sure what that was all about. He did an okay job, except I was in pain as he used a dremel under my nail (Kevin does not do this!) and must have nicked the skin, as I have been in pain and I'm pouring hydrogen peroxide under my nail. I am concerned it will get infected. "Chris" did not make me feel welcomed at all and now I am off to find another nail saloon. So disappointed. read more

I've been to this beautiful salon twice. The first time, I had a great experience with Anna. This past week, I returned and Anna wasn't available. I had one guy for my pedi and a very young guy for my manicure and dip polish. All of my nails started to break within 3 days! There was a lady there at the same time who was back to fix her gel manicure as well - same problem. (I'm now my nails redone at a different salon - so $80 for my nails in the same week?? I asked for the "believe it or not" pedicure which was an aloe-based pedicure and I got a chocolate scrub with a green drying mask crap put on my legs followed by almost cold damp rags!!! Questioned the tech about the chocolate she acted like she couldn't speak English so she asked the guy next to her and he said no we don't have aloe... and she continued on with the sorry pedicure. today, my 16-year-old daughter visit in Niore with the intention of having her nails done. After the nail stylist pressured her several times to have her eyebrows done she finally agreed, but asked to only have the middle waxed and cleaned up underneath. She completely stripped her eyebrows, leaving them both uneven and a chunk out of the left one. She had full beautiful eyebrows before this, and now is traumatized, will not go to school because she is in fear she will be bullied. They were very unprofessional, and she was extremely dissatisfied with their work. I would not recommend having them do your eyebrows if you'd like to keep them. read more

Expensive for crappy nails. I have been in there for many acrylic sets & they never turn out how I want. Also, never get sets taken off there. The first time they ripped the nails off & I thought it was my mistake for not asking for a soak off. Not only did they do what I could have done for myself for FREE but they charged me $10. The second time I went in there & said soak off 5 times & yet they still ripped my nails off. My nail started to bleed & the lady claimed I came in with a bloody nail & she didn't do it. I am not one to write bad reviews but when it gets this bad it deserves something. Save yourself trouble & go somewhere else. read more

I just went in there and it was super awkward. Tyler has a major attitude and not professional or good at giving information to a client. He would not let me go pick a polish because he was assuming I wanted gel!? I asked twice. Water was super hot and he just walked and threw the color charts on the table next to me a left again. I've been coming here for several months, I always get the gel pedi. I've tried different levels but honestly, I have noticed no discernible difference between the standard pedi and the upgraded pedis. They do a good job but I have a few comments/complaints. During Covid, the wine bar was closed, ok, understandable, but now that it is reopened, it it virtually impossible to get a glass of wine. Very few of the techs speak English, so even when I ask for one, they don't understand. I finally was able to order one a few weeks ago at which time the girl scurried over there and pulled out a bottle of margarita mix before someone stopped her, she then returned with a random white wine. I was never asked what kind of wine I would like. I have since given up on wine or upgraded pedis and I just get a regular gel pedi, the end. My other complaint is that there is no foot massage option, I don't care what the scrub smells like, but I would gladly pay extra for a great foot massage. Lastly, kudos for having English speaking staff answering the phones and working the register, but would it kill them to crack a smile? It's also a huge missed opportunity that they don't take drink orders as they assign the nail techs. Just sayin' .
