I decided to get a pedicure at last minute 9am there was no other clients inside , no ac- I got a deluxe pedicure in 20 minutes she slapped on salt scrub and rinsed my lotion was rubbed in for 60 seconds then wrapped with hot towel . When I told her she was fast she started to do alittle extra keep in mind there was no other client waiting so why so rushed?? When she went to polished she started to put used paper flip flops when I stopped her and told her I wanted new ones she decided she didn't speak English any more. 30$ for a 20 minute deluxe pedicure will not be back! read more

Honestly I never leave bad reviews but in this case I feel like I have to. I got my nails done here and wasn't too happy with them, they stuck up and the shape wasn't really what I wanted. I didn't really go back or anything but then my middle finger got infected a couple days later where he cut me. I went back and they said no refund since I came a few days later. They said the infections not their fault. Honestly not $55 worth. read more

The lady who did my nails was very sweet and we talked almost the entire time! She did an AMAZING job on my nails, the length is perfect, the shape is spot on and the quality of her work is wonderful. If I could give this salon zero stars I would. I actually have never given a local business a negative review until today. I should have left when I walked in on a Friday noontime and there was only one other client getting their nails done. From the very beginning I realized how dirty the salon was. The nail technician nicked me as she was doing my cuticles and then when she went to give me my three second arm massage she scratched my arm with her nail - never apologizing. Each of my nail has bubbles in it. What a disaster. I will never return. worst manicure ever!!! read more

I went there yesterday and told the owner what I needed done. I wanted my nails removed and gel polish put on. I also had one gel toe that the polish has came off of repainted. I told him about my previous experience there. The next thing I knew the owner and the lady working there were screaming and hollering at each other in their native language! I knew they were talking about me. Then the young guy I wanted to do my nails was being yelled at by both of them. He went to the back room very upset. I felt bad for him. Then when he came back out to do my nails, the owner stood over him yelling at him! When the boy would try to speak, he would tell for him to shut up because he is "the owner" and he was talking to me! I just said I was leaving because I did not feel comfortable in this hostile environment! I came to get my nails done to and relax, not have to deal with the crazy owners! Poor guy went to the back in tears and I left. That was all so uncalled for and very rude to put a customer through. I'll never go back there again! Beware of the owners crazy temper!!! read more

From Tampa I'm New to north port but this nail salon by far was the second worst one I've visited. They do not know how to treat customers and the owner or nail tech was very rude when I asked him to remove one of the finger that was polished because it had messed up and the owner quoted "its not going to be prefect it's a polish no one can make it prefect." I was so shocked like hello it's a brush you can make it damn near prefect painters use brushes all the time so pretend my nail is a canvas. All in all they don't care much about customers opinion or them leaving happy with what they paid for. $17 dollars wasted. !!! Agree with the other reviewer the Asian owners are always so rude not only to customers but they yell at each other too. They always sound like they are arguing, it makes you feel uncomfortable especially when you don't know if they are talking about you or not. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!!! I had my nails and toes polished at City Nails in Port Charlotte, Florida. The quality of their Paris brand gel nail polish is worse than their nail techs talent, which is hard to believe. I saw all three employees that work in that location on different days during the same week. First I saw the male, he polished my nails with Paris gel polish. He complained about his own life, a broken transmission and something about not being able to do something with his son because the third employee was out due to her son was sick. While I was there a woman came in needing a repair to her polish, it should have dawned on me then that this would unfold the way it did. The next day I went in to have my toes polished and my gel nail polished fixed as it had bubbled up and produced waves within the polish over night. After the male repaired the gel polish job on my nails, I saw the woman that polished toes, whom had a sick child hacking in the back room. very unprofessional, especially during this pandemic period of time. Trying not to breathe too heavily while in their store, in an attempt to not contract whatever her son had; I was very happy to get out of their store. Then I visited again a few days later to speak with the only person that hadn't done my nails, I asked for a refund and showed her what was happening to the Paris gel polish #26, she responded with the only thing she could offer me is to repolish with the same color and brand. I explained that I would be late picking up my boys if she took too long and she insisted it would take her 15 minutes.. Lets just say it took her almost 45 minutes, she had to redo some of my nails twice or three times for some unknown to me reason. And she complained about that same transmission issue the male I saw first was speaking about. I was very late picking up my children that afternoon. There is something wrong with that specific Paris brand gel nail polish (#26) and the staff is not nice to say the least. Just one week later and every nail has bubbles and/or waves in the polish. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!!! I have not ever had this trouble with gel nail polish from anywhere, even when I do them at home, myself. I will not be going back there and you should consider going to any other nail salon as I have not found one locally to be as disappointing as City Nails here in Port Charlotte, Florida. read more

I have been going to City Nails for quite a long time. I always go to Hannah because she does exceptional work. Everyone there does excellent work. Hannah is always so professional punctual and is always willing to show you new designs without the pressure of having to do it. People were always very friendly. I actually found the prices to be very reasonable. I never had an issue here with a mani or pedi. I typically get gel manicures and regular pedicures. My pedicures last FOREVER, the gels... usually about a week. For the price, I can't really complain. read more

I went to get a manicure and pedicure. the workers in there talking in a foreign language and the lady that worked on me spoke no english at all. I don't know how they get their licenses? Pedicure didn't last long in another week, I had to do it myself. The file that they used on my foot was worn out, obviously been used on other people too. I don't know why they would transfer bacteria from one person to another. following week I went to their other location (not knowing that it's owned by the same owner) and there too, all the time I was there they made me feel uncomfortable, thinking that they were laughing and carrying on about me. I only had my nails polished, while I was waiting for my nails to dry, right across from the little table, the girl who was working on my nails, put her foot up in her chair, she started to remove polish off her toes, and polished them while she was actually waiting on me.
