They took the time to walk me through what was happening and also recommended that if the swelling and fluid filled bump behind my ear didn't settle down, to go get it drained (which I did and it's been great since). I wish I had gotten my piercing done here originally. Their pricing is reasonable and knowledge far deeper than other places I'm aware of. The after care service is insane and I recommend this place 10/10!

My ears got infected and the swelling was terrible. I came to Body Manip and the piercer saved my ear...and my piercings! Apparently, the jewelry originally utilized was not the biz...and they switched it out to new ones. They left some space for the ears to swell and cleaning instructions. No joke but my ears felt immediate relief. Now, my ears are awesome. My spouse recently got a double helix here. Loved the person who pierced her. Gave such professional info and care. He also tested out placement with hoops just to be sure it looked right. Just amazing from start to finish. Make no mistake...this is the place to go for all your piercings. She assured me it would stay in, it didn't. After surgery, I went back with my own jewelry, thinking how hard can it be to put this jewelry in? She couldn't. Chari broke my own reserve spacer trying to get it out, , then fiddled around, finally putting a spacer so big my nose bled for a couple of hours. She also told me I had "cheap jewelry"....my jewelry is 18K gold. Not cheap. I try to buy local. But in this case, I would warn you to stick to the professionals.

They don't have any prices for their permanent bracelets so I had no idea what to expect but I knew I wanted 14k gold, and I was most interested in a Cuban chain. This could have been a case of miscommunication coupled with the fact I don't like confrontation, but when I asked about the price I swore I was told ~$250. That seemed reasonable to me, I've been looking into Cuban chains and that was the price point I was seeing for about that size in 14k. When it came to checkout the price was $2,450 for just the permanent bracelet.....I was in a rush and again, don't love confrontation, so I paid and left but I feel like I seriously over paid for this tiny light weight chain. I was planning on getting more bracelets and jewelry plus some new piercings but after this I don't know if I trust their prices. I think I may use them to find cool jewelers, but purchase elsewhere. It's my fault I didn't double check the price, I take ownership in that. I would just caution against the permanent jewelry, at least learn from my mistake and get the price in writing not just verbally. Update: wow that was a super fast response! I arranged a consult with Ben, who asked detailed questions, assessed my current stack and suggested I had enough lobe health to do a piercing stacked on top of my first piercing. This will allow me to wear studs together or to wear a statement earring in the new hole without the issue of more stretching. He recommended jewelry options based on my style, then brought me back to do the piercing same-day (it was a Monday morning, so the store wasn't busy). He was meticulous in the setup and talked me through every step of the process. Easy and done. It's been two weeks and my new piercings are healing beautifully and I am already loving the placement and the options it affords me. When worn with earrings in my original first piercings, the two stacked together actually detract from the stretching. Ben is a total pro. If and when I get more piercings I absolutely will ask for him.

I was concerned with how much it might hurt or how intimidated he might be by the experience, but the person helping us put him at ease and explained every step, including the best way to care for new piercings. For any customers under 18, an original birth certificate is required and one of the birth parents (with identification) must also be present. Definitely make an appointment as the lines can be long.

I heard very good things about this spot, so I was excited to come here. A bit background, my tragus earrings fell out about 3 days prior to this visit. I lost one, so I decided to get a new set and wanted someone out the jewelry back in for me, as it is difficult for me to get the backing for these piercings, Anyway, I stopped in, was greeted, and informed to fill out a form on my phone. After filling it out, I was taken to the glass case where the earrings were and the ones I wanted only have one left, so I picked out a different pair (they sell the earrings individually). I was told to wait for the piercer to help me. After a short wait, someone came out for me and we went to the back. I got settled on the piercing / tattoo bed and was walked through the process. My piercer was nice and since we were just putting new ones in, it was a quick process. I went back to the front to get rung up for the jewelry and service (they do charge $10 for each piercing change). The reason why I gave them a 2 is because one of my tragus swelled up very badly. Not sure why it would had swelled up like that, as I did not get pierced, so I am not sure if they did not clean the jewelry properly or practice correct hand hygiene. I had to carefully clean it, as it was so inflamed and hurt so badly for days. Overall, it would had been a 1, but the experience up to afterwards was pleasant.

I came in to have a piercing removed that I had done at another shop, and it was incredibly quick and painless. The piercer was helpful and took the time to talk through my ideas for future piercings I'm considering. Also loved the little details like the sticker dispenser with flash designs from the artists! DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS…read more i want to preface this post that jake is not apart of the association of professional piercers (app) which should be the first red flag. since there are not a lot of regulations regarding piercings, i would suggest only going to one that is apart of the app because of their commitment and dedication to safety and sanitation standards. i am honestly disappointed having to write this review since i had high expectations given the other reviews. i got two piercings and one is healing well. however, the other one is not after getting it pierced nearly a month ago. i went in to have it looked at and the interaction was very unpleasant, giving me a reason to write this review. his first comment was "do you know how long it takes to heal" after asking if he would take a look at it. he then was gaslighting me saying i wasn't cleaning it and he would give me an aftercare sheet. he THEN proceeded to back out so quickly and said i needed to go to a doctor and he's just a piercer and it's unethical to give me medical advice LOL. he did not even try to help remedy my piercing at all. anyways i went to another piercer to get a second opinion and all that was needed was the correct jewelry for my anatomy. there was no infection, it was simply irritated. jake actin like i got some disease for real. disgusted by jake's customer service and unprofessional behavior given HE WAS THE ONE WHO PIERCED IT.
