However I was tired of doing my eyebrows every morning and hated how they would get rubbed off if I hugged someone. So I decided to give Classy Missy a try. I got the semi-permanent microblading with a touch up as well. The place was a bit hard to find and a little bit sketchy. But it's in Chinatown so what can you expect? However Rebecca's facilities were very clean and very sterile. Even though the place was small, it had the feel of a professional. Rebecca was very welcoming, nice and patient throughout the process. The first time didn't come out the way I wanted so I was waiting for the touch up to get them fixed. I just finished today and I am in love! My eyebrows look super natural and full and totally 2017! I can't thank Rebecca enough for making them look so great! I'll be coming back in the future to get them retouched once they start fading. Now there's only once person I trust with my eyebrows and it's Rebecca! (Since I won't be needing to do them anymore haha) I highly recommend her!

Though I've had other people work on my facials, Shelly was always the best. Needless to say, I followed her when she started her own business. There are 2 rooms that are available when you make an appt. with Shelly and yes, it's part of the Pink Sands tanning salon on the 3rd floor. My preference is the small pink colored room as it feels more peaceful and serene than the other. Both are renovated and clean, but the other room just feels colder. Shelly does a really great job in making you feel comfortable and most importantly (for me, anyway), the extractions aren't as painful as they have been at other spas. The facial massages are fantastic so much so that I've fallen asleep several times. She also doesn't try to hard sell you on the products but will give you advice on your skin if you ask. If you're looking for a straight-forward experience with a friendly and knowledgeable person looking after your skin, then come to Shelly. It's been about 3+ years with her and would have no issue recommending her to my friends and family. Plus, you can't beat the value of the facial as it isn't overly expensive.

I walked in at 330 and walked out a little past 4 with a fresh blow out. The woman who did my hair was pleasant. I didn't want anything involved, and my blowout was no frills. She gave me nice volume with the velcro rollers. For $55, it's definitely worth stopping here for a blowout.

The couples package came with * 1 hour massage * 30 minutes private soaks with milk & honey scrub * 30 minutes in couples suite which includes jacuzzi tub & sauna Since it was my boyfriends birthday I requested rose petals like I had seen in the Yelp picture. I was a bit disappointed to see that it looked nothing like the picture and it was fake rose petals which I thought was weird. I'll give them an A for effort though although it looked nothing like the picture. The massage was amazing. She did a really great job. Most of my massages are pretty rough but she did a great job with light to medium pressure. I really liked the glass of champagne and the chocolate truffles. The private soak was nice but I really enjoyed the sauna. It was definitely a great experience. Came out feeling revitalized. My boyfriend really enjoyed the massage and the amenities.

We were actually about to give up and call another place when they called back. I was in New York last weekend visiting a friend from college. I've been going through a rough patch and she doesn't have NYC friends who like doing girly things, so we thought it would be fun to take advantage of the spa discounts listed in Time Out New York. This is a small set up, with one woman who does body treatments and another who does facials; unfortunately, this means that two people can't both get similar treatments at the same time, and one always has to wait. Luckily, the magazines in the waiting room were up to date. My plankton wrap was pretty fabulous, although I have my questions about the claims that plankton somehow lessens the appearance of cellulite or dissolves fat. Frankly, I don't really care. The woman (I'm awful with names) was sweet, friendly, but still professional. I never felt uncomfortable, though I was mostly nekkid in front of a total stranger. The wrap itself was very relaxing, and I left feeling both moisturized and rejuvenated. I have no idea what the prices are normally like here, but for $50 (before tip) I couldn't be more pleased.

My daughter bought me a Groupon gift certificate for lashes for my birthday. The install was…read morepainful, it burned my left eye. I told the tech (who never introduced herself) that it hurt. She repositioned the lil paper under my lid but as soon as she started placing the lashes it started burning again. What bothered me is she never checked back with me through the course of the install to see if my eyes were ok. I've had lashes done several times before and I've never experienced that kind of pain. Also I don't think the tech knew how to work with my kind of eyes. I have small eyes with slightly hooded lids. The actual install was for 80 lashes per eye however they are sparse and began to fall out 3 days after the install. I was very mindful to follow all her directions because I had plans for the upcoming weekend and I wanted to make sure they lasted. Also there is some disconnect with actual customer service. At the end of a service most lash techs give the customer a little eyelash brush, not this tech. I also tipped her $20 and didn't receive an acknowledgement a simple thank you would've been nice. Being that this is a black owned establishment I wanted to support so was going to book for a touch up in two weeks despite the mishaps. But after I thought about it, I changed my mind because I kept thinking about how painful the install was and the lack luster customer service, so I will not be back.

I had an appointment and received a call the same day saying that the nail techs machine stopped working so she couldn't see me because she had to go home to get a new machine, which was all a lie. I received a call the same day (again) by the owner saying that the girls in the salon refuse to do my nails and won't see me for my appointment. That's when I realized that the prior day they called lying about the nail techs machine not working. When I asked why they won't see me there was no real reason given to me besides that they don't feel comfortable and they can't be forced to do it. I feel like they can't take constructive criticism and get upset and irritated when u tell then how u want ur nails. I feel like if I'm paying so much money at this salon I shouldn't have to just settle for an ok job on my nails, for that I can just go to the Asian salons. I'm very particular with how I like my nails which I'm sure a lot of other females are as well so I don't see why I have to just sit there and not say anything when one nail is shorter than the other. Not only could she not do the design but she didn't even file my nails into a good coffin shape. I had to sit there and file my nails myself which you even saw me doing. I'm not broke I don't need ur discounts. But for you to even take the time to write back trying to be even more disrespectful just goes to show how unprofessional you guys are. Im not going to sit here and go back and forth with you because your techs need more work on their "artistic skills". You should keep that same energy trying to better your techs and not faulting the customer for knowing what good work is supposed to look like.
