This is a tough one for me. The place was clean and inviting even for kids. I could tell that the cashier was still in training. No biggie, just something I noticed. They have board games out on the tables. We played Jenga while sampling each others selections. I'm all about eating healthy foods. I'm very open to trying anything. I really cannot think of a single food that I dislike. But these desserts just looked interesting and that's about all I've got. They just didn't have much flavor. I was really excited when I first found this Asian dessert place. I've tried their crepes, but it was such a disappointment. It was literally just some whipped cream and banana pieces. Their Hong Kong style milk tea used to be so good. My boyfriend wanted to come back for more, but it was really watered down the next time we tried it. Every time I'm here, the tables are always dirty. I always end up grabbing some napkins and wiping the tables myself before sitting down. I hope the owner would start taking note of it. Definitely try their nomico special with panna cotta though. That's the only thing that keeps me coming back. read more

I can't describe my excitement upon discovering this authentic Chinese dessert shop! Our first visit was a success. The raindrop cake was wonderfully refreshing and just sweet enough, the Nutella crepe satisfied my picky son and the papaya coconut milk reminded me of blended fruit milk sold by street vendors in Taiwan. Tried sago, green tea red bean, and the crepe cake. Sago was definitely not up to par, I would go with the baked goods or the drinks. Fun atmosphere and nice comfortable set up. I hope more places like this pop up in Tucson so that the desert game gets kicked up! read more

Tried out this newish spot this past weekend... delicious dessert. Tried the number 1 with panna cotta. Not sure about the healthy part but man it was delicious!!! The girls working were very helping in describing what things were and providing samples. If this place is going to last in Tucson at this strip mall location, I would recommend adding photos of each item on the menu so people know what they're getting. Lots of people in Tucson don't know what grass jelly is, or boba, etc. Awesome spot!! read more

I came in once without any knowledge of what was being served here. When my friend and I first walked in, there was nobody around. We were in there for a good 2 or 3 minutes before someone finally came out. I always ask questions about nutrition and specials. The lady was NOT to knowledgable on their menu. Of course, she knew the basics, but that was it. So, when i finally decided on something, she said they were out or not in season. A cute, clean, modern-looking shop with a wide selection of desserts to choose from. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered any and all questions we had (even offering a sample of the grass jelly to aid in decision-making). I had one of the Nomico bowls, and it did not disappoint. I also sampled the chocolate mille crepe cake, which was excellent. Everything I sampled was the perfect amount of sweetness, sweet enough to satisfy, yet not overwhelmingly sweet enough to induce sickness. It really had the perfect balance. Nomico's food and aesthetic is so cute!! When we got there, the line was pretty long, but the staff was passing back a binder with the menu and a few pictures of their speciality items, which was super helpful to someone like me who isn't very familiar with Hong Kong cuisine. Before we started ordering, they warned us of the 40-minute wait and were extremely apologetic for it, but we agreed to wait and ordered. The cashier was really patient and if he didn't understand what you were asking for, he would point at the menu besides him to clear up the situation, which was awesome because it saved time that could've been wasted just trying to pronounce things slower or whatnot. The wait wasn't excruciating because Nomico provided card games to play to pass the time, and when the food came out, IT WAS SO GOOD AND SO AESTHETICALLY PLEASING!!! 100% worth the wait. This place comes close to 4 stars and definitely has potential if it wants. But there were a few things to note, good and bad. First, the (sole?) worker was very friendly, polite and helpful. When we first walked in, we had to ring the bell at counter, as there was no one up front. But they came out quite quick. We ordered only a slice of the tiramisu and it took quite a while to get. We assumed it was being freshly made but when it came out it was very cold and too hard to eat with our plastic fork. It definitely was more like an ice cream cake but still yummy. We had to ring the bell again and ask for real silverware so we could actually eat this hard cake. They took a while to locate some, I don't think they really had much on hand but 2 forks were finally found. They did put out the effort to find us some as quick as possible. The cafe had very cute large stuffed animals for kids to sit with. This would be a lovely place for a kid's birthday party! I think more workers are needed. Very nice, passionate, good energy here and that counts a lot to us! Makes your food more enjoyable! We would still return for the good points it does have! read more

Last two times we've visited, the tapioca and rice balls were not cooked all the way. The middle was hard and ended up throwing most of it out. Usually when it's the tall girl working, everything is great. ( sorry don't know her name ) Last two times it wasn't her and service was not all that great.
