Brunch cocktail

Stopped in here with the bestie for brunch the other day before I left for a cross country road trip and I have to tell you, I am obsessed with their brunch. We ate upstairs and kicked off with some drinks. I had just an espresso martini, but wow! It packs quite a punch and is delightful, perfectly made. We split some crab benes that were beyond scrummy and then I got huevos rancheros as my main dish. The eggs they make here are absurdly delicious and I highly recommend them. Since I was also having an 11 hour drive ahead of me, I was able to order an iced coffee to go which was FABULOUS. Our server was amazing in bringing me this and he deserves a raise. Don't sleep on this brunch ct foodies. You're missing out if you're not brunching at Vyne.

We decided to stop at the Vyne on Good Friday . I haven't been to this location in about two years. For an appetizer, we have the wings they were very tasty moist done perfectly. For entrées, I decided to have the salmon. The bartender didn't ask how I'd like it . It was a little overdone and dry. It was just OK . My husband had the linguine clam casino. That was very tasty lots of clams, nice size portion. The last time I was at the Vyne I really enjoyed it. It was more fine dining. This time it was quite casual. The atmosphere is pretty. The service was just fair. The music was quite loud . There was four people sitting at the bar and there was three bartenders, but they were talking with each other they really didn't go out of their way to help us. It definitely didn't feel inviting.

We came here for brunch on a rainy day (of course). We were hoping to sit outside but the weather wasn't working with us so we were seated inside. There's no service which is honestly probably a good thing lol. The food was so good the egg benedict was delicious and the mimosas were a hit as well. The tiramisu was delish too. Would definitely return!

It had been a while since we last visited Vyne, but decided to try it again after hearing the menu was changed up and there were new chefs. It was a total win! Love the creative options on the new menu, like crab Rangoon dip for an appetizer, and the Italian entrees and steak were all delicious. Our server, Maddie, was friendly and attentive! We will be back again soon!

Imagine a wedding here! Stunning location right behind catering hall.

Event Space Open House Experience (2023): BACKGROUND: Vyne Restaurant & Bar is far more than what the name suggests. Originally the site of the successful family home furnishing business -- Middlebury Furniture and Home Design-- the Yimoyines family has morphed and expanded their vision to meet more community members' needs. Starting as a side cafe for customers to relax and refresh from decision-making, the furniture store has been moved, and the multiple story shingle-clad building has been modified to support three event spaces. Periodically the spaces are prepared for an open house to allow potential customers to better envision what the site has to offer. EXPERIENCE: The open house was announced on Vyne's Facebook page. Although I'm always curious to learn about the Yimoyines family's expanding enterprise, I looked to attend this event to scout out a potential new site for an annual award event. Three event spaces were set up, and two Vyne event coordinators, Susan and Kendall, were prepared to greet guests and explain the event hosting pricing, options, and thoughtful scheduling policies (no overlapping weddings). Trays of different types of pizza and flutes filled with champagne were served, as well as spectacular cheese, cured meat, fruit, and vegetable platter displays. Several potential vendors, including O'Roarke & Birch Florist, Picture This Entertainment, and the Pink Flamingo Party Company, displayed their products and provided information. I was happy to be able to report that the ground floor option would meet our award event criteria, but was most impressed by the dreamy setting Vyne offers for weddings. There are many locations on site that invite spectacular photo backdrops (e.g. bridge) and props (e.g. lacy iron garden chairs). Especially unique is a bridal suite that overlooks the grounds, allowing the bride a bird's eye view of the unfolding day and a quiet retreat. One thing that has always impressed me about Vyne is the family's active involvement with special events and interaction with customers, so it came as no surprise to find Dean and Linda Yimoyines mingling with visitors. I enjoyed opportunity to speak with Dean to learn more about the family enterprise, as well as express my appreciation for having such a venue in the vicinity of my community. TIP: Definitely encourage event planners to add Vyne to your list of potential sites! Look to find next open house on their Facebook page, or contact one of the event coordinators -- Susan Stocking and Kendall Purdy.

Vyne is the most beautiful restaurant I've ever eaten at! The patio is breathtaking, and you feel transported away to somewhere on the European Countryside. Waterfalls, statues, immaculate grounds, twinkle lights, and the most comfortable seating. This particular night, we joined Stacey and her amazing friends for Caribbean Night. Chef Phil never ceases to amaze me! He and his staff are very talented, and everything is always so fresh, flavorful, and spot on. Tonight was no different! This restaurant is by far one of my favs!!! The owners are always so nice, Stacey radiates grace and kindness, and the staff is knowledgeable and kind.

This is definitely a place to bring that someone special !! That smile....Worth more than a billion words!!!

This is a location with delicious food. Great service! Pristine location with a curated backdrop. Transported across the globe just stepping on to the premises. Truly a lovely place. At Vyne you feel exceptional! If a picture is worth a billion words see the smile!

Calamari. It's nice and crispy.

I can walk to Vyne from my house. Yet we don't go often. I always thought something was lacking. Because it was a few years since we last went we decided to go. Man they upped their game. The inside and outside of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. They have a nice patio area with great water features and mature landscaping. I would recommend eating outside on a nice day. It's very relaxing outside. So the menu is a mix of Italian and American Favorites. They serve steaks, seafood, pastas, salads and everything in between. The drink and wine list is extensive. What I can appreciate about their wine list is that they have some very affordable options. I got a few glasses of the Pinot Noir for $12. Not too bad. For the main course we ordered the calamari, penne Ala Vodka, NY strip and the short ribs. Calamari was really good. Nice and perfectly crispy. The two sauces are a nice touch. I always prefer marinara since I don't like to dip fat in more fat. Penne Ala Vodka was my kids dish. It's creamy and rich in flavor. While I don't think they make their own pasta it was still a very tasty dish. The NY strip was also perfectly cooked. And with two sides that it comes with its not a bad deal at all. Is it in the same competiton as a Capital Grill or a Flemings? No. But it can hold its own. Short ribs was the only negative of the meal. It was a bit too salty. Maybe in the slow cooker for too long? It was definitely fall off the bone tender but too salty. Didn't get to stay for dessert. The family that owns this restaurant has not been sitting on their laurels. You can tell the effort that they are putting in to create a polished product. I appreciate being so close to this restaurant. For all you people looking for a first date restaurant.....this place is it!

Do they do rehearsal dinners?

They do have a large wedding hall inside. I'm sure if you called them they'd be able to help you out with your request but if I were a betting man, and I am... I'd say yes they do since they have the wedding hall upstairs.… Read more

She is so warm and inviting. She gave us menus but we mentioned we had just ate at Antonio's nearby so just wanted to enjoy a cocktail. We ordered a beer and white wine (excellent wine options). Great craft beers. We sat outside as relatively nice day, sunny but 45 F. We left but forgot to ask about happy hour. Called Maddie, wow, the HH was so great we decided to go back after visiting Southbury Falls ( watch out for ticks as we both found one). When we came back we tried the boneless wings. Not bad but the buffalo garlic parm aren't our favorites it seems. The chicken was so moist, crust perfect, flavor was just off. The service is 5 stars. Restaurant is gorgeous, perfect for a casual meal or special occasion. Inside they have a gorgeous fireplace as they also do on their patio. They also have outdoor heaters. We can't wait to return

It's not just that I had one review removed despite that being from a place I've actually eaten their food from, but that the algorithm has used some of my other reviews in the past to make me look misleading, whether it be adding in information I did not add myself, switched the location of where I had reviewed a place, all of it has led me to distrust Yelp throughout the rest of 2025. I couldn't write another review up until now because every time I had even consider doing so, it felt awkward. I hate having to start a new year off like this, but over the last few weeks, I've had to work on letting go of my anger and confront my issues. Maybe this review can be a way to help with that. End emotional rant. Let's get into Kanoon, because oh boy do I have a lot of thoughts to unpack from here. So how did I actually come to dine at Kanoon? Actually, mom had found this spot and she described the people working there as nice people. We were actually going to go to Texas Roadhouse until we saw the lines inside and went here instead. This visit was more for the sake of mom's emotional well-being than anything else. Parking was a bit of a tight stunt, but as long as you can find somewhere to park you should be okay. Now, upon entering, you have to wait to be seated. Of course, because I parked the car while my mother crutched her way over to a table, I was able to just come in and tell the employee who I was with and head on over to that table. Decor and thematically, it's pleasant to look at. There's a bull head on one of the walls with a Kanoon license plate nearby. Two arcade machines are stowed away near the bathrooms. Bathrooms were nice too I guess. There's two areas where you can be seated at. At one point while we were eating, we are featured a show of dry ice at our tables. It's like fog on our own tables. They do take it back after a short while. Like I said, it's nice to look at. So now onto the food. There was the Lotus Shake, the Hummus Plate, a tray of slaws, mom had the lamb, and I had the smoked meat starter. Oh, and the crepeholics crepe was the dessert. Food is served on exotic plates and on wood. The lamb my mom got was served on a cracked wooden plate that was on its way out, so even though she did still like the lamb, she didn't finish the salad that came with it. As for me, the meat on my platter tasted fine at first, but the more I ate, the more of a story it told. The more I ate, the blander it got. Not even some extra pepper that was available at my table could save the meat. While I did still finish it, it was not without a struggle. The fries were at least crispy, and the cheese on top helped with the flavor a little. Also, the presentation was top-notch. The hummus plate was another item that was presented well, and if the main dish was as good as the hummus, I would probably have added another star to the review. But yes, the hummus was in fact a good appetizer. The chickpeas that topped it were just right. The Lotus Shake was probably the best thing I had of the night. It's a shake topped with whipped cream, a Biscoff cookie, cookie crumbs, and one of those cookie straws that are this one treat I can't think of the name at the moment. The milkshake had a caramel flavor to it, and mixed with the whipped cream was divine. The dessert was a little underwhelming if I have to be honest. You have the same caramel Biscoff flavor you did with the Lotus Shake in this crepe, and the chocolate was more of a milk chocolate. Funny thing, I had actually recently learned how to make custard using dark chocolates, and just from having my own custard alone I can tell you that this crepe would have been better complimented if a dark chocolate was used in place of the milk chocolate. This place isn't really anything to write home about. The only reason I even knew this place existed before was because this place had tons of fake Google reviews in its opening weeks. I hope Google has begun cracking down on that, but I had already lost my trust in Yelp before, so I'm going to call that even and just rate this place based on my experience here. Because it was an okay-at-best place, I can't say I would recommend Kanoon at this time.
