We ate at Nonna's June 7, 2026. We were warmly welcomed by Kevin, the GM. He sat us on the patio where we had a great view of the sunset. Amanda, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. I've never had eggplant croutons in a Ceasar salad. Delicious! Amanda said the kitchen prepares them fresh as the salad is ordered. Super disappointing experience :/ Our group of 8 came in on a bachelorette trip and one of our friends had a HUGE chunk of hair in her chicken piccata. We told one of the other servers because our server hadn't come back in a while, and without saying anything she picked up the plate and brought it back to the kitchen. We overheard her specifically say how big the chunk of hair was to our server and the GM. A little bit later the GM came over with a new plate and apologized briefly. Maybe it was presumptuous of us, but we expected our server to apologize and/or comp something from her check (maybe even the wine), but nothing was ever said from the server and nothing was comped from her meal- acting like it never happened. When we asked the server about it, all she said was she would get her manager, and when he came back over, he said because he brought out a new plate they wouldn't take anything off the bill. When we explained that she wasn't given a choice between a new entree or a comp, he just reiterated that because he brought a new dish they wouldn't take it off. ON TOP OF THAT, an automatic 18% was ALREADY HAND WRITTEN on our receipts when we were brought our cards back. Pretty sure that's not allowed?? Would not recommend... hopefully they improve because the food was decent, but the customer service made the experience super unpleasant. read more

First off, this place is beautifully decorated! However, you can tell it is very much touristy. This is a tourist spot not an authentic Italian meal. And the price tag is up there. The food was good, but nothing to rave over. Way too pricey for the not so generous portions. We left hungry. The carbonara was the only thing out of this world!!! So yummy - the stuffed pasta with meatballs was okay-- mind you, the give you ONE singular meatball. My husband was still hungry... small portion of pasta and 1 meatball for over $23? Come on. Do better. This isn't a white table cloth restaurant. The Caesar salad was also just "fine". Wine was nice. Affogato was good but melted very quickly and overpriced. It's not a good sign when you spend $100 or more and are still hungry. Waiters were odd. There was an older gentleman helping our younger female waitress with a few of her tables. We had placed our order and she left to go place it. The older gentleman was casually walking by and it had been about 5 minutes and we saw other tables with bread but not ours, so we asked if it was complimentary. He looked at me when I asked and said, "it's coming, just slow your role" or something to that effect and laughed. It was embarrassing and weird. I was shocked. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy at this time and there were many tables empty. My husband looked at me like "what the heck?" -- when the bread finally came, it was cold and stale. Hubsand didn't even want to eat it. Very poorly done and of course no bread refills. Just such an odd response to a customer. Our female waitress was very nice and prompt about checking on us, but the checking in was a little overdone. She would come by and ask how each item was, but then continue to question if we actually liked it........ she would say "how is everything?" And we would respond "good!" Each time with a smile because we aren't really complainers about something unless it's totally wrong. We normally just won't say anything. And she would continue to question "are you sure? Did you like it?" Almost like she didn't believe us and was trying to read our body language...? Mind you, we were starving so we cleared each plate regardless. We were like yes... thank you.... It was just uncomfortable and bizarre. Felt overly questioning/lingering. I appreciate trying to be helpful and prompt, but in combination with the older gentleman, it was just one of the weirdest waiter situations we've experienced. And we go out to eat often. Restaurant is hard to find tucked in a back corner of the property. Parking was a nightmare. Overall will not go again, but it's worth at least a try if you're staying in the area to see for yourself. We made a 25 min drive for it though and wouldn't again. read more

This charming and cozy spot is highly recommended if you're in the Fort Walton/Destin area. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like family. It offers beautiful outdoor views, and the indoor space is warm and inviting. As for the food, the shrimp appetizer is a 10 out of 10 absolutely delicious, one of the best you'll ever have in the area. The chicken dish was crispy, and I especially loved the creamy sauce. I wanted to take some home! The beef steak was extremely tender, showcasing their excellent cooking skills. Kudos to the kitchen team for their superb work. Bit underwhelmed to be honest. Drinks were great - nice wine selection but was disappointed that our 6yr olds kid plate was a bigger portion than any of our entrees. We ordered the manicottis/ chicken piccata and Alfredo. Manicottis were particularly tiny portions. My son had finished his in under 3minutes. We had to order more bread to help fill the kids up. Servers were nice and place has a relaxing ambiance but leaving hungry after paying $250 is a red flag. read more

In full disclosure, we came to Nonna's for one of their wine pairings dinners so did not eat off the menu but our evening was top rate! The location is wonderful, just before the bridge and overlooking the bay. Beautiful evening to watch boats come and go. They have some outside seating that gives a great view. Only negative of location is the parking but we caught a ride so not an issue for us. There is some parking out front or you can walk if staying close by. All the staff was highly professional and provided great service. It made for a wonderful dining experience. As mentioned, our food was prepared for the wine dinner but every course was excellent. I particularly enjoyed a lemon ravioli that was actually pretty simple but the flavor was so light and the pasta cooked so well! The bolognese was also delicious and the dark chocolate budino for dessert was the perfect finish! *btw - One of our party was gluten free and the gf accommodation was excellent. imo - good chefs don't throw in flour to dishes just to bulk them up and that is the case here. The only variations were when pasta was served as the entree and she was offered an alternative. nicely done chef! My girlfriend and I were on vacation for the past 10 days, of which we ate out almost every night. Out of all of the places that we tried in Destin, Nonna's was by far the best meal and experience that we had. To start, I got the Nonna's old fashioned and she got the Bellini, and we shared the meatballs for an appetizer as well. The staff did a very good job at pacing the courses which also included complimentary bread. For the entree's, I ordered the Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe and she ordered the Napoletana. All of the food was delicious! Following the rest of the great meal, the dessert was even better. We ordered the Corleone, which we have now decided we want to try to recreate at home, it was that good. The staff and experience were so good the first time, we actually came back just for drinks and dessert a couple nights later, which we got to enjoy outside as they were setting off fireworks by the Harborwalk. If you are looking for big portions and a lower price, this may not be the place for you. However, if you appreciate the dining and culinary experience, this was well worth it! We will definitely be coming back if we come to Destin again. read more

Walking into HarborWalk Village, we passed the first restaurant, Nonna's, and knew we wanted to dine there after our stroll through HarborWalk. It was a Wednesday at 6 pm. Only one couple at another table was dining when we arrived. By the time we left, the outside bar area and outdoor dining tables were packed, but we had the inside dining to ourselves. I enjoyed the Manicotti with a side meatball. My husband, a huge fan of alla-vodka sauce. tried their version which they call "spicy John Travolta sauce" He requested it to be on their thickest pasta noodle, which was tagliatelle. He loved it. Our friends had veal and chicken piccata. The service at the beginning was super slow (we were thinking of leaving when our drink orders weren't taken, and then when we sat a long time waiting to give our dinner orders. We all had a great time together and felt we made a good dining choice. Our server was super nice as well as all the staff. Parking: at HarborWalk $20. Pay it. We went to public parking and paid $18 and had to walk. Lesson learned. The restaurant: Gorgeous atmosphere! Ate in the outside area that overlooks the waterway. Dress is resort casual (maybe inside miiiggghhht be a bit dressier-not much but don't show up in flip flops). Service was spot on. We made reservations but it was a Sunday night so maybe not fully necessary but it was still busy. Had antipasto dish-the beef carpaccio. I've had better, the meat wasn't seasoned well but we finished it. And thankfully that's where the "meh" ended! The burrata mozzarella was salty, buttery and smooth as it should be- fabulous! And it had a twist! Was served with "cooked?marinated?" pear slices (were bland- missed opportunity for full pear flavor that would have been great with pistachio and cheese but the fig sauce made up for it). My daughter had the manicotti main dish. Definitely homemade sauce and a large meatball. Sauce was acidic (not sweet like American tomato pasta sauce) and very flavorful with oregano, thyme and probably basil. I had the rigatoni that was recommended and it didn't disappoint! The sauce was puréed mushrooms and cream with generous black pepper. Almost reminded me of truffles- almost. That dish alone is enough to some back for. Gelato was good as gelato is but I recommend the corleone. Honey, pistachios, cinnamon...I had to fight off my family that ordered chocolate gelato and tiramisu. LOL! Surprisingly our tab was about $135 but we only had water. A romantic spot, great meal and service. Coming back for sure! read more

Disappointing experience. Our large group spent nearly $950, and the food did not meet expectations. The Linguini Vongole was served with thick spaghetti instead of linguini, which significantly changed the dish. Several clams were unopened, raising concerns about freshness. The restaurant advertises validated parking, but the process was inconsistent and did not work for all four vehicles in our group. We were also charged a 3% credit card fee that was not clearly disclosed on the menu. When these issues were brought to management's attention, the response was dismissive and no effort was made to address our concerns. Based on this experience, we would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

came here for valentine's day and had a very lovely experience! i don't really go to upscale restaurants but wanted to do something different and was very impressed. the service is what made it feel very upscale and our server was wonderful. the freshly made pasta was absolutely incredible. the bread with the oil and balsamic was delicious and addicting. it was a nice atmosphere inside although i would love to go back and sit outside where the bar is. they also have bogo pizzas and i have every intention on returning soon to try their pizza. i will try to leave an updated review for that. so far from what i have experienced, their food is worth every penny! read more

The service was DREADFUL....,actually it was non-existent. The host seated us without menus, so I had to go ask for them. The waiter raved about the Caesar salad. This salad was week old lettuce with cheese and soggy croutons. I couldn't even eat it. The waiter poured olive oil onto a plate and said "enjoy" but unless we were going to drink it, there was nothing to enjoy it with. He never brought us any bread. We ordered (reluctantly at that point) but after an hour, gave up and left. Oh and it was $20 to park and the place was hard to find. Save yourself disappointment and $20 in parking and go 2 miles further to Mimmo's, they were 5 star in all categories. If Nonna has past on, she's rolling over in her grave right now. I'm vegan and booked this spot because they offered a simple, classic spaghetti al pomodoro -- and I'm so glad we did. The service was wonderful from start to finish. Our waitress, Trinity, was attentive and kind, and the whole team worked seamlessly together. My half-Italian fiancé ordered the cacio e pepe (his gold standard for judging Italian restaurants) and was beyond impressed by both the presentation and depth of flavor. We ended the night with an affogato and an espresso martini -- both excellent. This was such a lovely Italian dining experience, and not one I expected to find in Destin, Florida. We were seated quickly outside on a warm and breezy evening. Very nice view included. Our server, Jessica, was welcoming and had an excellent knowledge of the menu. My wife had an unsweetened ice tea $5, a mixed green salad, fresh and flavorful, $8 and the red snapper,$29. All came Al la carte of course. She added a side of pasta $6. (The smallest portion of pasta ever). I had a 7.5 ounce can of Coke. (Never saw one that small) $5 and the manicotti which stated it came with freshly made meatballs. $25. The meal was one meatball (1) the smallest portion of flat manicotti which looked more like a wide pasta strip. Good thing I wasn't that hungry. A "Village fee " of $1.95 was added-really? And of course they slapped on a 3% processing fee because I dared to use a credit card. After tip etc the bill was $100 for a minimum amount of food which left us looking for dessert elsewhere. Ordered an Osso Bucca and was full of fat not rendered correctly and a small portion size for $ 38. My wife's Ravioli had good flavor but only 4 Raviolis again small portion sizes for the monies charge. I will not be back. Lastly they only had 3 lemon wedges for drinks as they were out of stock. My college-aged girls (group of 6) from University of Fl went this week. They were treated poorly and were not sure why. The server was terrific but the rest of the staff was very rude to them. These girls are all very polite and felt judged. I live here. Refuse to ever send guests again. No one under 21 tried to order drinks. They were also charged 3% cc fee and 2.5% arts and ent fee for no entertainment. Not impressed. Ruined the vibe of their night. read more

The food was fantastic, I would definitely recommend the mussels if you like seafood, they were tender and had fantastic flavor, we went during lunch and had an excellent meal, the pizza was very light which is hard to come by nowadays with restaurants cheaping out on good flour, usually I feel bloated and tired after Italian food but I felt amazing and the flavor of each dish was fantastic, the Caesar salad is amazing and the croutons are very unique, I have never once almost licked a salad bowl clean but it was absolutely amazing. The ambiance was beautiful in this restaurant and despite the beautiful appearance, the prices on the menu were very reasonable, during lunch it was 14$ for mussels which is an amazing deal in terms of seafood in Florida. Their fresh focaccia bread was fantastic and again very light and didn't ruin my appetite for the entree I ordered. The food also came out very quickly and we didn't have to wait that long at all, our waiter was fantastic as well. All of the ingredients are very fresh and you can really tell. I'll stop glazing the restaurant so much but it was seriously amazing. read more

Wow, finally, an Italian restaurant in Destin that is absolutely outstanding (and surprisingly affordable!) My wife and I joined another couple for a terrific meal last night. This place has only been open a few weeks and word is not out yet, but when you dine here, you will tell all your friends about it. Menu is quite extensive, giving diners many options to choose from. We had the meatball antipasto with delicious Sunday sauce, and steamed mussels to start, followed by fettuccine carbonara with shrimp and the tender manicotti. Then I enjoyed the veal scallopini and an affogato for dessert. Our friends raved about the lemon pasta and the "John Travolta" pasta dishes, as well as the Caesar Salad and tiramisu. Overall, a great experience with very attentive servers. The restaurant is a quiet, refreshing throwback to better times, with authentic photographs, period music and subdued lighting. We had hoped to join the "happy hour" discount, but unfortunately it is only offered on the outside patio and the temperatures were too chilly for us. But the food and drink prices are very reasonable, especially for Destin. You will NOT be disappointed with the quality of the food and service at Nonna's; it was as good as we have enjoyed in Italy firsthand. read more
