We had a party of 9 and 4 had the lasagna, one Nonas Meatloaf, one meatball sandwich, one spaghetti and meatballs, french dip and one char grilled chicken on a salad. On arrival we found when we got there that one couple inside seated at our table were waving to us but the windows are tinted so we couldn't see them. We saw another table arrive doing the same thing which brought a chuckle because we knew their friends could not see inside. We entered the building and there was no hostess to greet or direct us but the place is not that big so we were able to find the room our table was set up in. We had heard that martinis were a special for $5. I was all set to get a chocolate martini or some other flavor but when we got the drinks menu there was one Expresso Martini on the menu and I don't like coffee so I decided on a Long Island Tea. Others in the group had wine or beer. Price wasn't bad and we got a happy hour discount. There was a red pepper soup served as part of a meal-or salad and 6 of us had the soup, which was delicious. Tasted like an elevated creamy tomato soup and made you wish you had a grilled cheese sandwich to dunk in it. After our soup/salad there was a little wait for our entree's. The following report on the entrees found the grilled chicken salad with avocado, sliced almonds and feta Cheese was delicious with the chicken tasting like it was grilled on an open flame (maybe it was as we could smell char grill when entering the restaurant). The 4 lasagna eaters all agreed that it was very cheesy and lacking substance. They said you had to really dig deep through all most too much cheese to get to two layers of noodle and a little meat and sauce but it tasted good. They felt the online photo was misleading. The meatball sub was huge - like a foot long toasted bun with two very large meatballs, not something you could fit into your mouth but had to eat with a fork and knife. It was tasty. The spaghetti and meatballs and French dip had their plates cleaned and enjoyed their meals. The Nonas meat loaf was ok. I like my own homemade betterThe mashed potatoes creamy and I appreciated the ala dente fresh broccoli served with it. There was a comment that usually when you go to an Italian restaurant they serve you some bread but none was served here. My husband told me after we left that the chandelier right above me was caked with dust. Hopefully they have a spring cleaning coming up. The restroom was clean. read more

We waited well over 45 minutes for our food. Once getting it -- it was the worst chicken parmigiana I've had in my life. The chicken was tough, the batter tasted like it was fresh from the bowl (goey consistency ), and the sauce looked and tasted like it was heated up. Reminds me of beignet except savory. Definitely recommend this appetizer! I ordered the gnocchi sausage. WOW! It was so delicious. It is very heavy and rich but I would definitely order it again! I got the side salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing they have. I should have asked if they sell those by the bottles because I would take it home by the case! I highly recommend this place! Pizza was weird, too much cheese for a thin crust that also wasn't crispy. Not certain they make the dough, it didn't have crust. Wings were lower quality wings, not crispy, and didn't taste much like lemon pepper, had a slight strange soapy flavor? Not sure but we ate 3 of 12 before calling it quits. Calimari was ok but had a slightly fishy smell/taste, the kind that you typically don't want in fried seafood. I don't really think the ingredients used are fresh/high quality at all. Seated in the dining room where we were ignored for quite some time. Some acknowledgement from the staff would be a good start. Finally an acknowledgement. We ordered simple dishes spaghetti with meat sauce (you are charged extra for meat in sauce here ( and spaghetti with sausage. Appetizer of Tisano rolls. The rolls had no taste at all unless dipped in sauce, salad was good, spaghetti was the oddest I have ever had. Saying it was Italian I think is a stretch. It was a big plate of pasta loaded full of odd tasting mystery meat. I suppose some folks like going here but at the price of going out for dinner I think I will travel on to Mimos or hope to get in at Tradewinds for Italian food. As I'm sitting here eating my leftovers, I realized that I wanted to rave about my food that I had yesterday at Tisano's! I am a meatloaf snob, and they made the best meatloaf that I've had, besides my Grandma's! It said that it was served with mixed vegetables, but to my surprise came with a bowl of greens! I usually have to ask places for the jar of peppers to put some pepper juice on them, but these were seasoned SO well that they needed nothing! It also came with a side of mashed potatoes. I asked for the side of roasted garlic, and smashed some of that up and added it to my mashed potatoes. They were delicious! Today I bought a couple of potatoes, and added the rest of the garlic to them to have a couple more servings of mashed potatoes. The meal that I bought, along with the two potatoes made three generous meals! I told the group of 10 that I was with that I felt like I was at a truck stop with all the food on my plate. Our group was in a huge room with another large group. I don't think that we noticed or bothered each other at all! Our sweet young waitress seemed like a local. On my Father's birthday, one of the worst meals we have ever had. My Father and I both had veal dishes and could not cut the meat without steak knives. The veal was literally closer to shoe leather than meat. My wife and I had Marsala (chicken for her and veal for me). There was not even of hint of Marsala in either dish. Went with several friends, they all enjoyed their meal There lasagna is huge portion plenty for 2. I had chicken marsala. It was very good but sat under a heat lamp to long & was dried out. I've ate there a few times and not once did I get good food. My last visit I was told they had a new Chef, so things changed. I ordered the chicken marsala, and it looked amazing. Well that was rather disappointing! I LOVE eggplant parm and this one was terrible! The eggplant was sliced thick with the skin still on (Skin was unchewable - had to spit it out). The meat sauce had some kind of gritty mystery meat that resembled nothing like ground beef or ground sausage. Ordered the pink sauce which was supposedly red sauce and Alfredo combined. The dish arrived and the sauce resembled water or oil. Looked like noodles and the mystery meat. No cream, no cheese, no thick tomato paste, and no flavor. Honestly looked like they didn't put any sauce on it at all. 2 dishes like this at our table. Mentioned it to the waitress and she said "sorry" but no offer an alternative, additional sauce, discount, etc. Immediately after the meal and through the next day we're having terrible stomach issues. This place is overall is great. The ambiance was perfect and intimate. White linen tables, candle lit, and a live piano player. The service was fantastic too. My server was nice and the drinks kept flowing. Could have brought more bread, but I'm not too upset about that. The food was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I would recommend this to anyone. Now with all the positive why isn't it a 5 star? Well the silverware really threw me off. Very cheap pressed metal. With an average price per plate being around $20 with a great atmosphere this was the only knit pick. I will 100% eat here again. The food has never disappointed. Their credit card processing company, TOAST, adds a 3% charge to your check automatically. The restaurant told us we had to pay the junk fee or they will get fined $1,000. So no one forced them to use TOAST, and I object strongly about anyone adding junk fees to bills. The restaurant apparently had no issues collecting money like this, totally unethical. The ambience and service are lovely, but the food was not. As a proud foodie, I feel that the food is the most important thing. Thus, this place gets its two stars for ambience and service. None for food. The quality was astonishingly bad. Rubber-tire mozzarella for the caprese salad and brown avocado in the salad. The fried calamari was rubbery, over battered and not even served with a lemon wedge. I was so excited to try this beautiful place and was appreciative of the nice service. I ordered the Bruschetta and the Gnocchi Sausage with the Roasted Red Pepper and Gouda, they were an absolute divine and had the best amazing combination ever. everything was so easy on the tongue. My husband and I decided to have lunch here on Easter Sunday. We went to early church and was in the restaurant at 11:00 am. They had a special menu for Easter consisting of a choice of Spiral ham or Pork Loin steak served with a deviled egg, asparagus, Au Gratin potatoes and candied yams. everything was delicious! The meal came with either a roasted red pepper, Gouda soup, or a salad. My husband chose the salad. I chose the soup (which was delicious!) Our waitress was wonderful and charming, and took great care of us. The owner came by to make sure we were pleased with the service and the food. We certainly were! We decided to split a dessert and chose the limoncello cake. It was DEVINE! I also found out that they recently decided to open for lunch ! I am looking forward to having lunch here with one of my girlfriends. We needed an additional lunch place in our area! This restaurant is under new management and we were very pleased with the changes! Server at first didn't write down the order and got the pizza wrong when it came to the table, but they gave us that one for free and remade the entire pizza for us. The food was horrible chicken Marsala had so many ch oil that was all I could taste. We didn't get our garlic bread until We were almost finished with entree-and it had nothing thing but-you guessed it--OIL. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer, asked for the missing ingredient-Balsamic vinegar only to say--no!!! I talked to server about the 2 inches of oil on the bottom of my plate only to he told, "The oil went said this isn't their recipe".
