I came here last Tuesday night with my newest and coolest friend Joel. We were both excited to meet up as I was out of town for over two months! We were greeted by Taylor on arrival. She is such a very nice worker here! This place is simple and doesn't have an inside to eat and is only for take out. But I had to come here because they used to have another location in Upland a few years back, so I finally got to try this original one. I missed the Upland location! Some more history...I used to work at NYPC for 5 years, which was the Pizza place there before Nonno's in Upland. Well, pizza is the thing to try because, duh, it's Nonno's Pizza. They have a sign you see when you walk in...Pizza special two cheeze slices and a can of soda for $9.50. In today's world a good deal! So for approximately $11.50, I got the two slices, but added Pepperoni on one and bacon bits on the other, which was an extra dollar plus the tax. I also got a can of Dr Pepper. This was all so well worth it. The slices were great! The right amount of cheese and toppings. The crust tasted really good and the pizza was the perfect thickness, not too thin or too thick, just right! It was wonderful the way it was cooked! Taylor did an excellent job making our fresh made slices cooked to order as we were the first ones in as they just opened for the day at 4 pm. The only issue I had was myself and not the pizza place, I usually like my slices well done and Joel and I realized we forgot to ask until after they were given to us lol. Oh darn, looks like we will have to come back and do a repeat! Joel, you know I am down! A special thanks to the Starbucks not kicking us out so we could eat our pizza slices inside and close by so they were still hot! For the record, we did buy Starbucks drinks since we were using their seating! Overall, great little hidden gem if you're a pizza lover. On the next round, good idea to split a pizza slice special, split another item, and add a drink so we have our own. And also to see how the pizza is when I remember to ask for well done! I've been here a few times to order some pizzas for a few get togethers and I gotta say, this place in Chino Hills is awesome! It was recommended by a friend who lives nearby and also is a regular customer here. The lady that owns and runs this place is such a sweetheart. The 2nd time I came, she remembered me and told me thankyou so much for supporting my business. So, where do I start? This is more of a PSA, so take this review as it is best. We have ordered pizza from Non's since returning from San Francisco in 2017. We like pizza and believe in honoring small local businesses. It's been hit-and-miss with Nono's mistakes in the orders, but we understood, and the pizza was good enough. We ordered an all-meat pizza on 5/14/24, and when my wife got home, we noticed hardly any toppings on the pizza; we thought it was the wrong order. The pizzas have been a little light on topics lately, but it's just pizza. My wife called the store and explained, and the manager said come back, and I'll make you another one, but we had a long day and did not want to deal with leaving the house again; keep in mind this is not the first time we had to drive back with lousy order. The manager apologized and said he would credit the order to our account next time. Long story short, we placed an order in on June 2 and let the other manager know the details. He could not find the credit in our account after "looking" for it. He said maybe it expired; when did you get the credit? I told him we ordered our last pizza on 5/14/24; he said oh, that's why the credit expires in 14 days, and 5/28/24 is when you should have ordered your pizza.... I said, are you being serious? He should have told us that information, but the credit expires in 14 days. Then he said, "I'll tell you what, let me split the order with you." I said no way; it's not right. After a few minutes, he gave in and said look, man, I don't want to keep going back and forth; I'll do it this time. We picked up the pizza; the manager said I found out what happened. The owner saw the credit and deleted it because she said our complaint was not legitimate. And he said, "SHE DOES NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS ANYMORE" . First of all, it must be going well for them to cancel a customer, but the reality is that we were not looking for a free pizza; we were looking for the pizza we paid for according to the menu. I thanked the manager for the information; many pizza places are just as good, if not better. For example, Next Door Pizza is next door to Luchador Brewery, and The Pizzeria is next to the Chino Hills Pub. read more

I have lived nearby for about a year and this was my first time trying this place. I called in to ask if they could place the 18 inch in a smaller box so I could fit it in the back of my Goldwing Bike and Sal was more than kind enough to help me out. So I ordered their 18 inch cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were quick and courteous and the place is a pickup only spot but nice ambiance it reminds me of small brooklyn pizzerias.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get home and had the pizza with the kids. Let me tell you that the cheese and crust are superb. No less in taste & quality than pie life in Pasadena (My favorite in LA). Its light and toasty while airy in the edges and the bread is not rubbery so its obvious they not only use good flour but also allow their dough to rise just right. The price for an 18 inch cheese and the other ones are about the lowest you will find in so cal today for a good brooklyn pizza. I saw some people complain about not enough toppings or this and that and to be honest, if you're used to cheap dominos or pizza hut or little ceasars junk then you might complain about not being over run with rubbery vegetables or cheap industrialized meats but if you like a whole hearty and honest made brooklyn style pizza then this is your place. read more

We live in Eastvale and as you know there's no shortage of pizza places here. The problem is they all suck. So I've been on a hunt for actual good pizza. Today I was browsing DoorDash and Nonno's popped up and the pies looked appetizing so I gave it a shot. And I have to say, we found our pizza spot! This pizza tasted better than anything else I've tried in the area. The crust was like New York style, thin and foldable, yet crunchy. The sauce and cheese were perfect, not too salty, not too sweet. And the pepperoni and meatballs I had on mine were delicious. Also got garlic knots that were pretty much perfect. Crunchy on the outside and soft and hot in the middle, with the perfect amount of garlic. I see they also make Sicilian style which I love, so I'll be back to try theirs. The pizza crust was great. It stood up in its own. The amount of sauce was just enough. The cheese was well executed. The one thing I was upset about was the amount of toppings. I paid for a half/half 2 toppings pizza. I had no problem paying for the extra toppings but if I can count the amount you put on, then there's an issue. It's changed owners, ovens and recipes. When we first had this pizza last June, I could say it was the best pizza in Chino but something changed in the last few months. I had about 10 pizzas from here to date and each one was amazing until now. We recently ordered a large Pepperoni and the cheese didn't cook all the way through in the center of a pepperoni pizza. They offered to make another and make sure the cheese melted on the second one, which it did! However, the cheese strands didn't congeal into each other. Instead of a smooth cheese surface it was pieces of tiny cheese bits. It was not appetizing to look at nor did it taste good. At first I thought they switch to cheap potato starched pre-shredded mozzarella because they had possibly ran out of cheese but it sounds like the entire restaurant has changed. The way is cooked is different and they are using lower quality cheese. The service is still wonderful though! You guys had the closest thing to real Brooklyn style pizza but now I'd rather have a frozen pie. Please return to your roots, it was a better then. read more

I am originally from NY and so I can honestly say this pizza reminds me of my childhood. Nonno's is authentic NY pizza; the flavor is there, that crispy pizza crust is on pointthat thin/soft texture of the dough/cheese when you take that first bite it just reminds me of home and I am so glad we have a legitimate place with bomb NY pizza And if this is your first time trying it, you can never go wrong with the half cheese/pepperoni. My boyfriend says he will never get pizza anywhere else because Nonno's was different than the other pizza he's tried and we were both full off of 2 slices each and the garlic knots were so freakken good, I wish I had ordered a dozen we used the butter from the garlic knots to put on our crust and I 100% recommend doing that because it is very flavorful. I'd also like to say all these reviews that say this pizza isn't good, and it's too "soggy", and it "falls apart" are definitely not from NY and would prefer their pizzas with a crap ton of toppings weighing down their pizza just so their pizza can fall apart too We will definitely be coming back! read more

TL; DR: undercooked with a long hair baked in. Google and Yelp said they closed at 9p on Sundays, so I called around 745p. They said they close at 8p but could complete in my order if I arrived by then; I arrived before 8p. My calzone order was still in the oven but they took it out anyway. The ingredients were NOT fully cooked - they're fine to eat, but the mushroom was still raw and not cooked in the cheese and the meatball slices were cold. Mind you it's $1.50 for each extra ingredient. And I find a LONG HAIR baked in that appeared to be from the older cook. They shouldn't take a late order if they know they can't do it to the best quality. read more

Which means there is no quality control on delivery... and grub hub doesn't do service issues well. In addition to the condition of the pizza, we were not notified of arrival so the pizza was cold. My family loves their pizza. The marg is a must!! The buffalo moz is absolutely amazing. So good! We don't order often because of the price. We are on a very tight budget and we have a large family with 6 children. We do, however, feel the price reflects the excellence that is provided in every bite. We just can't afford it regularly. This pizzeria is a gem! The thin crust pizza and the pizza dough is extremely flavorful! We had to get the margherita pizza (not the Silician Margherita), Nonna's special, and the All Meat. We order garlic knots and 16 buffalo wings, and a family salad. We got a salad that was forgotten in the order when we picked it up and one of the employees dropped it off at the house. Salad wasn't worth the $9 but the gesture to deliver it or get credit for it was nice. The buffalo wings came piping hot and there is a spice on it that lasts longer than a regular buffalo sauce. Really yummy! The garlic knots were okay. The pizza delicious! They weren't as hot when we picked it up, BUT we reheated them in the oven at 400 degrees and it was delicious! Really delicious even the day after. This will be the only pizza place I go to whenever I am in Chino Hills. read more

We have ordered pizza here now 3 times. The only thing that gets me is how skimpy they are with the toppings. For example, if you order sausage on your pizza, there is literally only 1 piece on each slice. Keep in mind the slices are very large, so it's pretty bad if you ask me. Same with all toppings. I've been to many spots that claim to have a NY slice but this place is the ONLY place I've found that actually has an authentic NY pizza! It's delicious! As huge as the slices were and the price of the large pizzas... I must leave this review. I saw so many good reviews about this place, I was so excited. I am a pizza guru and love pizza. I travel and rate all pizza places on my own scale. Sadly, I ordered a large pepperoni. The girl on the phone was kind of rude and shouting on the phone. Maybe because it was loud inside?... Anyways the pizza it was very greasy and everything slid off. The Doug was so thin it was like thin crust pizza. I saw they had a Sicilian pizza so maybe I'll try that one.
