We were lucky to catch them on the side of the road near Kahului harbor. It was a last minute desert plan and since we were only visiting Maui for a day that was definitely a plus. Of course the reason we came was for their poi mochi donuts. We decided to get half a dozen. Each poi mochi donut is $2. We went with the s'mores, choco Oreo, matcha, chocolate, ube and original glaze. A few minutes after ordering and we got our donuts packed in a clear box. We were heading around the island and these were perfect to much on while driving and heading to different spots. The donuts were so soft and enjoyable to eat. Whether you're picking them apart and eating them bite sized or munching away; there's no correct way to eat them! My favorite was probably the s'mores. The marshmallows were soft and chewy. I also enjoyed the choco Oreo and chocolate. I do have a sweet tooth so I may be bias haha! Ultimately, if you haven't tried poi mochi donuts you definitely need to get yourself a few! You can't go wrong with the original glazed. If you got yourself a sweet tooth like myself, s'mores and choco Oreo will satisfy your needs. As some reviews mention, they may not be there so hope for the best when you're visiting!

NONOY DA POI CASCARON is a food truck available on the side of the road by Kahului Bay. Make sure you check the schedule because the truck isn't permanently parked there. We caught them on our second try (because this time we checked first!) Out of mochi donuts but still had cascarons. So we ordered those which were awesome! Crunchy melted sugar on the outside and chewy on the inside. Unfortunately, there's a minimum purchase for credit card purchases so we bought crispy pata (deep fried pig's leg) and it was so crispy and so delicious. So maybe what I should have said was "fortunately".

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago and tried out a variety of their donuts. They are usually located near Kahului Harbor and can be found at other markets around the island at times. They have a small menu of poi mochi donuts, cascaron, and soft drinks. You can get one mochi donut or a stick of cascaron for $2 OR a dozen donuts for $20 or 3 sticks of cascaron for $5. Not too bad really! For the mochi donuts, you can pick from 7 toppings: strawberry shortcake, original glazed, blueberry, chocolate, matcha, oreo, & ube. I've tried them all and my favorites are the oreo, blueberry, and matcha; mainly because the flavors are more prominent for these. I did enjoy the strawberry shortcake and the ube as well, but wish the flavors stood out more. I'd probably coat the whole donut in their glaze to make it even better! Haha. In any case, I'm happy Maui has another mochi donut option. It's nice to bring to get togethers and it fills the void until my next trip to Oahu (where my favorite mochi donut place is)! The cascaron is also pretty good; pretty much the same as how my family makes it. Check them out!

After passing it on Beach Road many times, I finally made it to these instagram worthy donuts! A very focused menu consisting of cascaron, poi mochi donuts & soft drinks. The poi mochi donuts are $2 each or $20/dozen. I went with 6, ube, matcha, chocolate, chocolate oreo, strawberry shortcake, blueberry. Texture was good & some flavors were more prominent then others. My favorites were the oreo & matcha. Another good donut option on the island. Have not tried the cascaron, but I'll have to go back to try the other flavors. Owner was also very friendly.

The mochi donuts here are a bit dry and the cascaroons are only of average quality (great texture, but not very rich in flavor). However, I am giving this four stars rather than three stars because if you are craving mochi donuts this is the only place I could find in Maui that offers them. The other locations that used to offer this are permanently closed. If you've never had mochi donuts then do give them a try! If you've already had them elsewhere then you may be a bit disappointed with the ones offered here.

Pros: Whopping big cone with 2 good sized scoops of ice cream. Pretty ono. Cool as it comes. Friendly service. Cons: Cone is hot so it ice cream melts quickly so it's kinda messy. $14. Good experience but would I need to get this again?.......IDK.

Coscaron is one of my favorite desserts. These bad boys are made to perfection! Don't wait, you're definitely going to want to eat them while they're fresh and hot! My kids got such a kick out of the shape of the mochi donuts! It made it really easy for all of us to share so we could all try out the different flavors. I initially asked the kids which flavor they each wanted, but there's no way to decide! We ended up ordering the chocolate oreo, tropical mango, strawberry shortcake, chocolate almond, chocolate with sprinkles, and lilikoi. Every single one was perfectly decorated and tasted SO good! The fact that they were made from mochi flour made them nice and chewy which I'm a huge fan of. If I had to pick two favorite flavors, they would be chocolate Oreo and lilikoi! The staff was super duper friendly! Smiles on their faces from the time we walked up til long after we got our order. We will be ordering more very soon!

If you're craving something crunchy, sweet, and chewy, check out Nonoy's Poi Cascaroon. Their cascaroon is very unique from other cascaroons I had from the filipino store. They always stay crunchy, no matter how long you leave it out, and the chewy mochi-like inside has a mild flavor of poi, and that light brown sugar drizzle brings it all together! They're always so quick and so friendly. They also have venmo as a method of payment which is nice.

My children love their fresh mochi donuts with flavors like ube, strawberry cheesecake or Oreo, affordable and delicious. Convenient to Maui Sunday market. Next to keyakiya.

I loved the fried chicken with the sauces. Rice was little dry though but the mochi at the end was my favorite. Would highly recommend though.

10/10 no other words needed. The workers and owner are amazing! Crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside.

Amazing poi flavored donut! I was sad we showed up too late and only had two glaze flavor options but the base dough is the same so I don't think we missed much! The flavor and texture of the donut was spot on and was worth the drive from west of the island!

I was immediately intrigued by the calamansi pork -- an item I had never seen it on a menu before. One bite and I was hooked. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the bright, citrusy calamansi added a unique tang that made the dish completely unforgettable. It was so good that I'm still thinking about it after coming home. We also tried the pancit noodles, pork sisig, and mochiko chicken, and every dish was excellent. The pancit was packed with flavor, the sisig was gelatinous (fir those who are into it), and the mochiko chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. For my first visit to Maui and my first time trying Da Soriano Grindz, this food truck set the bar incredibly high. If you're visiting Maui and want amazing Filipino food that's a little different from what you'll find elsewhere, don't skip this spot. The calamansi pork alone is worth the trip.

Peeked their Instagram and saw a corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich. Say what? Less than 5 minutes later I was texting my order in. Unfortunately, no one actually ever answered my text (please don't tell people to text if you don't reply). Being impatient, I said screw it and just drove myself there to check. They are located in Kahului Industrial in the Ferguson's parking lot, across the way from Lee Bear's. It's a really, really random spot and parking could be a challenge if it gets busy. If it's slow, you could park right in front of the trailer. The family that runs this food trailer is born and raised in Guam and their menu features Chamorro cuisine like arrozcaldo, corn soup, etc. It didn't seem like it to me at first because everything was so so familiar to me, but my friend who was raised in Guam reminded me of how it's heavily Filipino influenced and mentioned that the grilled cheese sandwich was her childhood growing-up. No wonder (I'm Filipino)... Anywho, got my corned beef and egg grilled cheese sandwich! The corned beef isn't like your St. Patty's day corned beef, but more like the Palm brand canned corned beef. The bread was also slightly sweet and was the perfect vessel for all this deliciousness. The sandwich was so tasty and had the perfect amount of meat and cheese. Definitely a great way to start my morning and can't wait to have it again. My friend also recommended trying their corn soup & their red rice whenever it's available. Will definitely try those in the future too.

We have tried quite a few of the trucks and there were long lines and I was hungry so we drifted over to Kaipo's as they didn't have much of a line. Staff were ready for a laugh with us and we ordered the Shrimp Dynamite and the Rib Eye. They were quick to cook em up, just long enough for us to buy some pineapple lemonade from the stand next door (Wailemi). The food was MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD. I cannot understand how they didn't have a long line!! People are missing out here! My Shrimp Dynamite was served in a small container, full of melty mushroomy goodness, with crunchy courgette, shrimp cooked to perfection and a creamy sauce on top. It wasn't as hot as I like, but I only deem something spicy when I can't feel the front of my face and steam is coming out of my ears so perhaps it is spicy enough for the general public. Nevertheless it was DROOLWORTHY, so good I had to share a single piece of courgette with my husband, but that was all he was getting! No more, Nada, nope. All mine! Hubbs didn't take long to demolish his with gusto, and he was 110% satisfied with dinner. Meat was cooked just right. We liked the scoop of macaroni salad, and the green salad with mustard dressing and scoop of rice that came with each dish. All were delicious and complimentary to each other. Very filling, very satisfying and totally DEEEELICIOUS. If you visit this roach coach park you have to try Kaipo's. It is one of the best there and you don't have to wait!
