Passing through Missoula and needed some take-out dinner for the road. Had a chicken bowl with ginger sauce, over a bed of rice, with some marinated veggies (cukes, cabbage, carrots, etc). It wasn't bad; I wouldn't race back again, but it was ok. (Pretty salty food, btw.) read more

I usually love this place, but today was my worst experience ever here. The cashier who took our order was so unfriendly and acted like we were an inconvenience for ordering our food. She was rude, short, and made eating out not enjoyable for any of us .From the start of the interaction to the end of it, it was awful. She sat and watched the top of the pop machine cover fall on top of my child's head and did absolutely nothing. Didn't even apologize for it, I had to pick the cover up off the floor myself and just set it on the counter. Unbelievable! I understand we all have our days, but working in the customer service business, she should show a little more effort towards customers. Not impressed!!! read more

I love noodle express! Light cucumber salad and spicy chicken is my favorite. Don't waste time and money going to mustard seed. It's overpriced and bland. Worst pad Thai I have ever had. Too sweet and soupy. Everytime I have ordered my favorite thing, it's just right. And nice big portions for a great price. read more

The one on broadway is not good, noodles are gross, they use lomein noodles which is not very appetizing and always have undercooked rice also the beef is usually over cooked. The one inside southgate mall is great. They use yakisoba noodles which tastes better and the rice is always fully cooked. read more

They have a good variety of noodle dishes, and rice dishes if you don't like noodles. I like my food spicy. The food wasn't bland, but it wasn't spicy, either. If you aren't a spice fan, to you, this food may be "just right." I ordered a pork noodle dish, and enjoyed it, even though I would have preferred some "spice" to it. read more

Up here on business just llokin for something not greasy. Great food. Fast. Fresh. Tasty. I got the heat level 4 of 5 and it had great heat and still a ton of flavor. I used to like this place went there today got a chicken teriyaki bowl. Had the smallest amount of chicken ever I honestly don't know how they can get away with it. The food is REALLY good but a MAJOR complaint I have is they NEVER give you enough meat. We ordered a party size portion of the Sweet Thai Chicken for our family and 95% of it was RICE. $35 for Rice??? That was ridiculous. Really messed up they charge extra for "double meat" and even THAT is not nearly enough what you are paying for. I really hope y'all fix that issue soon or more customers will not be returning. read more

Noodle express at south gate mall is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The noodles were undercooked, the service was bad, and I spent the next day with food poisoning. I am not at all exaggerating, if you want proof I can supply picture. I was multi-tasking, sitting on the toilet with a bucket in my lap. If you want good Chinese food in Missoula you need to try bamboo chopsticks on Higgins. I guarantee that if you like this place you will love Bamboo chopsticks, that is not saying much though, if you like this place you might enjoy Cibbles N' Bits. I have never before eaten at a place so bad that I had the motivation to write an online review. Sa Wad Dee on Broadway is also a good option for noodles. read more

very disappointed in this place. i have given it many chances but still doesnt live up to my expectations. now, i come from a hawaiian background and was raised in both hawaii and seattle and i know what good asian food is. having said that, i always thought mustard seed (owner of noodle express) is decent for "montana.". what i did notice is they try and cut corners buy not giving you much meat whether you are eating a noodle bowl or a rice bowl. i ordered the teri beef with rice and i swear on my life i could of probably took 3 large bites of the teri beef and it would have been gone. they give you a ridiculous amount of rice and vegetables but only a tiny portion of beef. i should have taken the picture of it to show how little there was. now, that's fine if you want to cut corners but at least dont charge close to $9 for something you aren't getting. i am surprised more people havent noticed this. yes, they will give you plenty of noodles cuz its cheap, but not much meat at all. read more
