But at the restaurant it was nowhere to be found on the menu. I had written down the original menu name (rutacaea) and showed it to the hostess directing people where to sit. She told me it was now "Rattan Pepper Rice Noodle". The taste is what I would generously describe as "perfumed" and woodsy. It borderline smelled like scented dishwater. Strangely toward the end when the soup was largely gone, the soup started to taste bitter. Very likely NOT the rutacaea noodle they had. Overall I do not recommend this particular soup. Basically $18 plus tax and tip. You choose one soup/noodle base and one topping. I choose Pork. Somehow it also came with a few fish balls, one prawn, some mushrooms, and some reddish meat that was certainly not the sliced pork that I asked for. Kind of curious if that's part of the soup base or if they topped off someone else's leftovers because giving away a prawn doesn't sound like something a restaurant would do.
