The food here was great but i gotta give one star for their food sanitation. They reuse the basil, which is a very important part in Pho. I noticed that when they clean, the cleaning ladies put beansprouts into the trash bag but put the basils into a separate trays with just basils. That's not the first time i saw that so i think i have to write my first review ever to let everyone know. This practice is cheap and gross. The worst vietnamese food I have ever tasted is officially at this restaurant. I only give them two star since my spouse said their pho was good. I ordered a beef rice dish, shrimp spring roll, and bun bo hue. First, they skimp on the shrimp which only had three pieces that was cut in halfs so you basically get a shrimp and a half in one spring while the rest is vegetables and the shrimp was favor less like water. Second, my beef on my rice plate was fried! It was oily and too crispy as if it was chips. Last, when my spouse finished his pho my bun bo hue still have not made it out. I didn't expect much from this location, and what I got was exactly what I expected. The broth is very average and tastes like there is a heavy amount of that beef broth powder in there. Ingredients aren't particularly fresh. Service-wise, you may have a hard time if you don't speak Vietnamese. It really depends on who is working at the time. Overall, nothing about the place stands out. I think they only reason they get business is because they are located inside the Saigon Mall area (convenient for those who are going grocery shopping or have other business to take care of in the area). I came here earlier today for lunch with my grandmother and my younger sister. We walked in already knowing what we wanted. As we walked in, it was quite packed but there were also many tables that haven't been cleaned yet. It's a bit of an eyesore. We received water and our menus quickly, and we ordered immediately. However, it seemed like the person who took our order forgot, because we waited about 30 minutes and we didn't receive our order. We noticed that people who came in after us had already received their food, Finally, another waiter noticed our empty table, and asked us if we had already ordered. We stated that we did, but he asked for our orders again. 10 minutes after this, we received our food. REALLY bad, non-existent service... don't expect a refill unless you get up and flag down a staff member standing by the open kitchen. I had a strong craving for pho and by the name of the restaurant, I was expecting delicious authentic vietnamese pho. I got the tripe and meatballs along with fresh noodles (pho tuoi) instead of the standard pho noodles. A small bowl was $7.95 which is pretty pricey for the portion that was given. The fresh noodles didn't really make a difference, and the broth seemed to be more on the sweet side. The meat in my bowl was the only thing tasty about the pho. My boyfriend also ordered the pork eggroll vermicelli and his whole bowl seemed to be just the rice noodles. Their meat to noodle ratio is definitely way off. read more

Honestly one of my favorite places to get food in Garland. The location was in the plaza which seemed kind of sketchy to me but it's not too bad. The restaurant has their own noodles called "pho tuoi", I recommend to request this type of noodle every time. It's chewy, flat, and bouncy it's amazing. I discovered Pho about 5 years ago, and been trying many different places. Usually Pho is Pho. Some are better, and some are not. But generally they are about the same. This place is the new gold standard. It has ruined Pho at other places now. The fresh noodles, and broth are Amazing!! The deduction of a star is for the cleanliness (or lack of), and the service is stereotypical Asian. We live in Arlington and sometime we just drive 50' just for Pho here. Ask for the fresh noodle. It is so good and pretty similar to the real Pho which you can only see in California. I don't think they offer that so you have to ask. My friends come there several times but they never can try it yet. I'm lucky then. Service is nice which I don't really expect much from a Vietnamese restaurant. They are above average. Only get Pho every time I come so can't really recommend anything else. They do give you a lot of noodles but barely any meat and the broth taste exactly like water. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before a server came and asked what we wanted. He took the order and did not come back. After 20 minutes, I had to signal another server to ask why it took so long and she just gave us a non related answer, that there were some problems in the kitchen. So we waited for another 25 minutes and had to ask again why our food had still not there, this time this waiter just rudely told us to wait. Finally after 45 minutes the food came, however my friend had to cancel his order since his was still not there. We told the same waiter that either the server or owner should have let the customers know what was going on and why we had to wait, instead of us keeping raising hand and asking where/when the food would be there. That waiter literally got close to my face and told me just to wait, and I almost lost my temper. We should have left but somehow we were stupid enough to still be there. Vietnamese and American customers, please save your time and go somewhere else for Bun Bo Hue because it's not worth it being angry because one day it will happen to you. These typical Vietnamese restaurants have no basic customer services and always treat their customers like they are in Vietnam. When they're busy, they won't see you as a valuable guest but just someone who sitting there begging for food. None of their waiter/waitress are trained how to deal with restaurant issue and giving random answer and being rude are all they have. Please, do not come to this Noodlicious. If you still do and nothing happens, then you're lucky. If they're busy and you have to wait, just leave. We are customers, not beggars. read more
