I got the curry ramen and mango bobarita. Both were quite good, although not exceptional. I got level three spice, and it wasn't too spicy. I had to ask for ramen spoons and chopsticks which was odd. There weren't too many people there when we arrived at 2 on a Sunday. The music wasn't too loud which was good for not getting overstimulated. Overall, a positive experience. read more

My favorite boba tea in Grand Rapids! I ordered the Hokkaido Brown Sugar and it came within a few minutes. The dining room is made to be user friendly with tables which can be pulled together to accommodate larger parties, and in addition there are tables along the wall for those that desire booth style dining. The seating is very comfortable. The staff works quickly and efficiently to fill a customer's order,and is always there to help explain different menu choices. If you are new to dining at a restaurant that specializes in the Japanese art of noddles there is no better place to stop by and introduce yourself to this tasty cuisine. My order lacked flavor and seasoning. It was very bland. I also experienced poor customer service.

This spot feels a bit over hyped for me. I ordered the shoyu ramen with added protein (a whole egg and tofu). The egg was the best part of the dish. The broth had a greasy mouth feel that was a bit off putting. I did order my ramen to go and the tofu was missing when I went to reheat my order. I do like that as an option for to go you can have the broth separated from the base to avoid over saturated noodles. One thing to note that some of the broth spilled as the employee was packing up my order and he used his apron to clean up the mess which isn't the most sanitary practice. read more

A great new addition to the Grand Rapids food scene. We were greeted warmly when we walked in and given guidance on the menu offerings. Everything is customizable. Top notch ramen. We tried thai coconut curry and Zessan Tonkotsu ramen and both were delicious and filling. probably the best ramen I've ever had. Perfect for getting your slurp on. Portions are large but there is a half size available if you want a little less. The ambience is comfortable and Impeccably clean and well organized. love that you can order refills on beverages from a QR code on your table instead of getting back in line. Noodlepig is on a mission to help feed hungry kids locally, nationally and internationally. for every bowl of ramen sold they donate a meal to 3 different agencies to help feed hungry kids. I'm a huge ramen fan and love checking out new places every time I travel. I was in Grand Rapids on a trip and searched to see what kind of ramen options there were. Came across Noodlepig and thought their menu looked good! The restaurant itself was really cute and clean. The staff was AWESOME! You just walk up and order at the register, and the girl who helped me was so knowledgeable about the menu and went in depth with some ingredients I wasn't sure of. She clearly knows the menu in and out and I really appreciated her time and her knowledge! (Curly brown hair, I am so sorry I didn't catch your name!). My boyfriend got the Miso ramen with the suggested proteins and I got the Shoyu with the suggested chashu and half an egg. Both broths had great flavor and the homemade noodles were perfect. In fact, they reminded me a lot of the house made noodles from my favorite ramen restaurant in Kansas City that closed down, so truly, thank you so much Noodlepig for giving me a taste of nostalgia. I also got the Zessan to go to eat later, and I think that was my favorite of the three. The rich bone broth was DELICIOUS. The pork shoulder I added was so flavorful and tender. The staff was wonderful, the atmosphere was nice too, for a fast casual place. I wanted to love the food! Overall, the fat content was just so high it was hard to eat. Part 2 to my first review. This time I got the Shoyu Ramen and let me say this, FANTASTIC. The pork was fantastic and the ginger presence along with the fruity peppercorns really add another dimension to this bowl. The Tama eggs were way better than last time and I'm convinced if you are looking for a Ramen joint, this is the spot. The new fry sauce is BOMB! The owner seen a weak point in his stellar menu and fortified his hidden fortress! The service was great as always and those hats look dope! This business should think about enamel pins!
