Sushi rolls I forgot all the names Shrimp tempura, shrimp tempura n crab, smoked salmon n shrimp tempura, salmon, and yellow fish

The ambiance in the restaurant was nice, but it being the dog days of summer we decided to eat outside. The service was excellent our waiter was very attentive despite us being outside. We had wine and Sapporo for drinks. Tempura shrimp and soup as our appetizers. Unfortunately, they didn't have the crunchy fried wonton pieces bcz I love to add them to my soup still good. We selected 4 sushi rolls from a large varied menu and they were all hefty and delicious.

This was so much fun with my family! The staff was very interactive and quick to serve. I had an appletini martini, soooo good and only like $8. I wasn't expecting such big portions on the food, I had leftovers for days! I ordered the filet and doubled up on the yum yum sauce. Great place to celebrate occasions or just to have a fun dinner with the fam!

We were really excited about taking our sons out to Osaka since it was so highly rated, but they let us down. The food was good, but... ...Service was super slow ...Chef didn't really perform tricks or have good showmanship like we typically see at hibachi grills (he tossed utensils around & lit the grill -- that's it) ...Chef was unclear on who ordered what ...We were short one salmon for our group so had to flag someone down to bring it ...We waited a long time to get take home boxes ...Waited even longer to pay our bill (the server seemed to forget about us) ...Our credit card didn't come back with our receipts (had to hunt it down) The other tables seemed to be enjoying their chefs' performances. Lots of laughter, cheers, and clapping hands. We had a dud! Very disappointing. Will not be back.

Made another trip here recently. Still our top go to for sushi though we miss half off days, burning holes in our pocket book trying all these delicious rolls. We were seated by Sherly who's been there for the longest time and no wonder because she is so great! (We've had hers few times) Extremely friendly, checks in often and thoughtful with getting us to go drink refills if we wanted. The rolls are amazing: boardman is the best and Osaka roll is right there too with so much flavor in every bite! From there we usually mix up and try different rolls but this time I stick with my spicy lovers roll and e we tried the fireworks roll and 28th st roll for the first time and both were pretty good. The consistency in quality has never disappointed us. We usually come for lunch around their opening (11:30) and are in and out within an hour at most (great time to go as it does get busy afternoon and got dinner). Definitely recommend.

It was a lot of food but not tasty. Too much rice and noodles compared to the protein and veggies. Not planning to repeat this experience!

Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.

Their team worked in unison to provide a truly enjoyable experience. To start, the cheese popovers were a delicious surprise, and we could've taken a bagful home. My husband ordered the 22 oz cowboy steak, which he described as the best steak he has ever eaten (this is a rare statement from him), and I enjoyed two jumbo African lobster tails dipped in butter. Despite feeling full after our entrees, we felt the need to order the Affogato topped with Baileys for dessert. It was a perfect end to a wonderful meal. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout the evening. A special thank you to Andrew, who took such wonderful care of us and made the entire dining experience feel seamless and welcoming. The food was outstanding -- from the steaks to the lobster, every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. One detail that especially stood out was the team's willingness to accommodate our request for Oyster Rockefeller, even though it was not on the menu. As someone who does not eat meat but occasionally enjoys seafood, that level of hospitality truly meant a lot. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines exceptional cuisine with such gracious service. Thank you to Andrew and the entire team for such a memorable evening. We look forward to returning the next time we are in Michigan

Carvers has an actual kids menu. I don't think any other food stall in the market has a kids menu, so that's a bonus. The kids' menu includes the standard kid fare: chicken tenders, grilled cheese, a hot dog, a cheeseburger. That was enough variety for my children, who picked a grilled cheese and cheeseburger. All of the kids' meals are served with fries. We also got steak fries, which I was told were "very good." OK! The steak fries were what you'd imagine them to be: fries topped with chopped pieces of steak, topped with white cheese sauce. I was impressed by Carvers ready-to-eat offerings in their refrigerated case. They had stuffed baked potatoes, ready-to-grill asparagus, cole slaw, egg rolls, and even elote salad (which is labeled as street corn salad). Lots of delicious-looking foods ready to take with you.

Over the years, I've been back to Carver's multiple times and they have upped their game since my first visit. The burgers have been great and the fries are particularly good. Their menu changes with their inventory, but there are always burgers and good sandwiches. The French Dip, Pulled Pork and Reubens have been standouts.
