My husband and I went to the GameStop also on West Main two days in a row, seeing this restaurant while driving. I love Noodles and Company, even calling it my favorite chain restaurant. I find myself often wishing we had one in town, but I settle for insisting on going for food when we're in a city that does. My husband got what he always gets, the bbq Mac and cheese. I went for the chicken parm, which I had never gotten the noodles it comes with from them. I've had their tomato sauce but I've gotten meatballs as the protein over chicken and I've also gotten spaghetti, macaroni and the spiral noodles (can't think of the name off the top of my head). Employees were friendly, made attaching our rewards account easy and they worked hard to get our order out quickly as well as correctly. Bathroom was also clean, as was the rest of the inside. Our meals were delicious after a long day and an emotional week. I always find noodles to be comforting when I'm having tough days. While they are a fast food restaurant, I would recommend coming to a Noodles and Company if you've never been. I've always left with a full and happy stomach. read more

Stopped for some pesto cavatappi and Korean bbq meatballs! Often times I'll have the small shareable meatballs for lunch and bring home noodles for dinner. This time I tried grilled chicken instead of the Parmesan crusted chicken. I like that better than the grilled--just adds an extra flavor. This was my first time in a noodle company since 2014. I wasn't a big fan of their food but i decided to give them another chance. This place has been in business for a long time, there has to be something about it that keeps people coming back. The good: the service was decent and they'll serve ur food to the table. We dined in and we were the only people sitting at 3pm on a Saturday. They have a nice soda machine with plenty of diet options. We went with their pad thi and the other item on the picture which i no longer remember what it was. We didnt mind the food but we wished we went with the smaller size... Food, atmosphere, silverware, and plates all felt decent quality. Recommendation: I'm not a huge noodle fan so this is a tough one for me to call. I cant even compare this to similar places but i'll say that its worth the try. My boyfriend and I went in to order togo around 9:20 (40 mins before they close) which I thought was pretty good for ordering Togo, but as we were walking in the man in the back in the cooking area looked like he was throwing a temper tantrum like a baby... he said "oh my godddd" rolled his eyes, and turned around and walked where we couldn't see. Don't get me wrong if it was 9:45 or something i get it but this is your job. At least go to where we can't see you in the first place. Then while we were waiting a mom and her kid walked in and he was out in the dining area on his computer and he did it again! Mind you it was only 9:30 at that point. I was there last week waiting for my carry out order. I watched the cook make it without gloves on and wiping his hands on his dirty apron between grabbing handfuls of noodles from a container. Some of the noodles he actually put back in the container. I could hear him complaining to another worker about my request to leave out the cilantro saying I should just pick it off. My friend and I arrived at the location 30 minutes prior to close which as someone who has worked in fast food that is not that bad. I watch the cashier throw the mop on the floor when she saw us walk in because she was mad. She then proceeded to take our order and was extremely unfriendly the entire time and threw the number thing for your table at the counter. Tonight was our first time eating here. When we walked in every person working looked grouchy and unhappy about being there except one lady. I believe her name is Michella (sorry if I butchered it). Do yourself a favor. Take your money next-door to chipotle. Way more value. Way more portion. I ordered the large and it looked to me like it would've been a small. Way too much sauce. The last couple bites were almost unbearable because there was so much sauce that it was swimming in. The flavor wasn't too bad but it was advertised as very spicy and I barely even tasted the spice. Best part of the meal was listening to the stories that the employees were telling in the kitchen on the other end of the room. I just got my hearing aid today so I thought it was just me actually being able to hear. I took it out then my group started commenting on the stories also. It's a miracle.... I don't need a hearing aid to hear. The Spicy korean beef was ok, the temperature was hot which made it much better. We used to love going to noodles. They removed my husband's favorite dish. They no longer serve a side of bread. We ordered the garlic bread and were told it was no longer available. We don't see adults anymore, the place gets swarmed with college kids. It has a frat house atmosphere with really loud music and people (including employees) and the whole place is always trashed and dirty. Garbage overflowing, dirty tables , sticky floors. The food itself is now served in plastic take out containers, and the portions are considerably smaller. read more

Noodles & Co. graciously offered to support our preschool with a restaurant night fundraiser (even when restaurants are struggling to stay open right now) and we overwhelmed them with orders. I was so impressed with the employees attention to detail even when they were over their heads and unable to keep up with the slew of orders coming in. This place is great for what it is... an express lunch restaurant that specializes in noodles. The interior is sleek and modern and I like how the kitchen is completely open. Noodles & Co specializes in three different types of noodles: American, Mediterranean, and Asian. By far, my favorite is Mediterranean. I would have to say that their Asian noodles are a bit disappointing. Their food is consistent and delicious and you are able to customize your meal without much trouble. The do have one noodle dish that uses whole-grain noodles. What I would really like to see is a whole-wheat option for many more--if not all--of their noodle dishes. There are plenty of ways to make your meal healthy...and deliciously unhealthy. A guilty pleasure of mine is the mac and cheese with Parmesan crusted chicken. Mmmm. I have also noticed that the workers at this particular location are especially friendly. Hurray for workers that aren't soulless. I have also noticed that this location is particularly quick...but maybe too quick. I've noticed some of my veggies (such as the carrots and broccoli) are undercooked. I'd be happy to wait a few more minutes so I can get tender veggies, rather than ones that are almost raw. Finally, Noodles & Co brings out your food, will bus your tables, and you are not supposed to tip. This setup seems to be pretty common in California, but it's a bit of a foreign concept to midwesterners. Just enjoy being semi-waited upon but not having to tip. :) read more

Worst experience I've ever had involving a restaurant. First I didn't like the unwelcoming invite I received with this being only my second time eating at a Noodles & Company. I only asked for two garlic cream tortellinis and while making my order, I asked for one of the two pastas to be without mushrooms and I also asked for two side Caesar salads but, the cashier must've truly misunderstood me because she charged me for two regular sized chicken grilled salads and two garlic cream tortellini pasta with no mushroom. This brought my total price to near $50.00. After we discovered why the price was so high I was refunded for the two full salads and just charged for two $1.50 Caesar salads but the cashier told me with such an attitude "next time I need to say side Caesar salad", when in fact that's exactly what I said. So my response was "that is what I said sorry for the confusion." I was also given a void receipt but they kept my original receipt. Then she asks me do I still want the two garlic cream tortellinis with no mushrooms? So my response is "No I only wanted one of them to be without mushroom." Im waiting 20 minutes and I truly feel like Im getting disgusted looks from the cooks and that cashier the entire time I'm sitting there waiting for my food. I was so satisfied to leave because I felt so uncomfortable. But when I arrived home I see I only got one pasta altogether, (the one with no mushroom), so to avoid any confusion or any misunderstandings when I go to pick up my second pasta I call them to tell them this and the woman that picked up the phone simply asks me what do I want them to do about it. I'm appalled at this moment, very shocked that she said this, so I said "I would like my second pasta because I paid for two of them." She told me, "I asked you did you still want two without mushroom but you said no" so my response was "no I wanted two pastas but I wanted one of them to be without mushroom." So she said "well if you want another pasta youre going to have to come back and purchase another one", so I said "I already purchased two of them, you guys only gave me one, that's all I'm saying". Then she had the audacity to say, I'm trying to get something free out of them like I'm a thief. I just gave my hard earned money to this company and that location. I work 5 days a week, I don't need to steal anything, that was very insulting. So instead of continuing to go back and forth with her I finally asked to speak with the manager but she claimed she was the manager saying "I am the manager, anything else you want to say?" but finally the actual restaurant manager gets on the phone and says "if you don't have your receipt there's nothing we can do for you" and hangs up on me. Terrible!!! So how do I know they didn't just steal my money because that void receipt only mentions the changes in the Caesar salads? Also she just insulted me by calling me a thief after I just gave them my money. I felt very attacked, degraded and yes I'll say it, discriminated. After being introduced to that place by my friend I really learned to like the food and said this might become one of my favorite places, but if that's how the service is, it is not worth it at all. read more

In fact, I just ate at a Noodles in Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD and was a little disappointed because my expectations of a Noodles store is based on my experience in Kalamazoo. This is a pretty decent noodles. Clean and usually not too busy. The employees have been generally nice and accommodating. I once asked if the pesto was vegan and was told yes -- they caught their mistake when the food came out, apologized and suggested alternatives. The Japanese pan noodles are usually nice and caramelized; I stopped going to the other location in town because the noodles were always soggy and syrupy. The penne rosa without cream and cheese is a good vegan choice. Same with the new Asian green curry dish. Overall a pleasant atmosphere and pretty good food for a reasonable price read more

On the positive side, I thought the restaurant's Beef Stroganoff entree was quite good. There was plenty of protein, the egg noodles were al dente, and the taste took me back to the days when my mother made this dish using a packet of French's Beef Stroganoff Sauce Mix (not necessarily a bad thing). It struck me as good comfort food. The restaurant provides upscale fast food (like Panera). On the other hand, I was entertained by observing two of the staff engaging in cross contamination. The woman at the cash register (where I placed my order) went back and forth between touching the money and credit cards customers handed to her and preparing food, all without washing her hands or wearing plastic gloves. The second woman had a bucket and mop, cleaned the bathrooms, and then started cleaning the kitchen floor (the area between the register and the salad station) and didn't change the water. Then she put the bucket and mop near the seating that take out customers use to wait, and then began waiting on customers and preparing salads from the salad station. Like the other woman, she never washed her hands or threw on a pair of plastic gloves. I watched both of them, prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt if they walked to another station beyond my vision, but they were visible the entire time I ate. Otherwise, the restaurant was not apparently air conditioned, or not enough. On a day that touched 90 degrees, I think the outside air was cooler than inside. It's too bad, I think I might have returned to try some of the other noodle dishes. But the staff's clumsiness with basic hygiene has scared me off. There's american dishes like buttered noodles which is really good and Italian and Asian dishes as well which I haven't tried yet but also look good.
