#2 with no spice and rice to share
    Ree T.

I have been eating here for years. I don't live as close as I used to, however, today I made the trip to dine in. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome. It was busy so about a 5 minute wait for seating. It's a small intimate establishment. We ordered our usual which is the #2. I'm a creature of habit so although they have a big menu, I don't deviate from what I tried and fell in love with. The medium spice I've grown so accustomed to, I think next is medium +. Great service with great food is always a win. Just don't sit in the first seat nearest the door. You will catch all the cold air from outside.

Spring roll, Tom Yum (soup), Bangkok chicken - all delish!!

I think I have enjoyed every single time I've eaten from here. Dine in or take out. Tried Bangkok chicken today that was delightful and hubby got the curry pad Thai for the first time. Delish! It's quiet enough for a regular conversation, service is fast and the staff have always been nice. Always leave looking forward to coming back.

You cannot go wrong coming to this place. It is small, warm and inviting. The staff (hi Aries!) is BEYOND COMPARE! Their food is delicious and always very authentic. The menu can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming but just ask someone and they will guide you in the right direction! My husband always orders their beef larb. It's customarily eaten as a end-of-the-night dish to accompany a nice beer in Thailand (or so I was told). Citrusy and oniony...both things my husband likes. I LOVE their yellow curry but decided to try the masaman chicken. Super delicious! If you pay with cash, you get 10% off your bill! You can't beat that!

Vegetable Curry one of the few curries that are vegan
    Bryan C.

This is a vegan review: Bangkok Flavor has a nice ambiance and atmosphere for dine in. It seemed clean and orderly. There was one gender neutral bathroom which was clean, however the motion activated paper towel dispenser was not working. The service was quick and friendly. I was going to order the Green curry which I always do at Thai restaurants, but unfortunately they couldn't make it vegan, so I had to order the Vegetable curry. I got my food and noticed that the vegetable curry was a little watery rather than creamy. The flavors were good, but I think the fact that it was watery makes me wonder if it would've tasted differently if it was creamier in texture. Of course I'm basing my review on the curry dish alone, (especially since I couldn't order the green curry which is my go to at every Thai restaurant!) I don't know how their other dishes would fair in the areas of portion and flavor. However the fact that they can't make certain dishes vegan was disappointing. That alone limits my choices which is unfortunate.

This small restaurant brings the big flavor and if you want your dish hot, there's the ultimate level: Thai hot. I stick to medium-plus when I'm there, but you can jack up the heat to the stratosphere if you want. Big menu and a pro tip: pay in cash, get a 10% discount!

This is our favorite place to get "Chinese" like food. Their Tom Yum soup is to die for. Haven't had a bad meal yet.

Taste of Asia has food from several Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam & Laos. When we arrived we met Lena the very charming & helpful owner from Laos. She gave us a brief rundown on some of the food items available on their menu. I see my fellow Yelper formerly from Chicago Leang has also been here. I guess foodies find good food no matter where you live or travel to lol We started w/an order of shrimp spring rolls that came w/4 spring rolls loaded w/fresh lettuce, bean sprouts & shrimp. * Issan Pad Ga Pow - Ground Chicken w/Thai Basil, onion, jalapeño w/jasmine rice ball in the center & a crispy fried egg on top of the rice perfectly cooked w/a nice gooey egg yolk on top of the jasmine rice (Excellent Dish) our favorite * Pad See Ew - Thick rice noodles w/beef, Chinese broccoli & egg w/soy sauce w/a sweetness * Larb V - season minced meat, lime juice, patise, cilantro, bean sprouts & sliced cucumbers. Very good but a tad too salty for our taste. So many times when restaurants try to cook a variety of different Asian dishes from multiple countries you end up w/a variety of mediocre dishes. This wasn't the case w/Taste of Asian where each dish had its own unique blend of seasonings that made it unique to the country being represented. Our host Lena was very helpful in helping us choose our dishes. The young girl (probably her daughter came out to check on our needs several times). Her 4 year old son was tasked with bringing out a sticky rice ball wrapped to each table. I asked him how many girlfriends he had he held out his hand w/4 fingers. He better not get any older or he'll be in trouble w/1 girl for every year lol Great food, great service w/a nice choice of options in terms of the dishes to choose from.

Could be one person in the kitchen. They need some help. Folks waiting and ringing the bell to get checked out. Ordered crab Rangoon, 4 pieces, 2 chicken only spring rolls, chicken satay, drunken noodles with chicken and added garlic, Khao pad ga prow with chicken and added veggies, spicy. $58.16 Can't get steamed tofu here, only fried. The crab Rangoon wonton wrapper is thick, too thick and heavy. The creamed cheese inside has an odd texture and leaves an unpleasant after taste, not what I expected, super sweet. Color looks odd. The whole thing is off and doesn't taste right. The dipping sauce is not quite duck sauce or what I expected either. I have a feeling today's lunch will be interesting. I am hopeful the rest of the apps and meal goes better than the first starter. The chicken satay is super dry. The peanut sauce is thick as heck. The spring roll had some older lettuce, not great. The sauce was not peanut sauce, just topped with peanuts was all. The fried rice is meh, nothing special. The main dishes aren't big portions. The drunken noodles aren't too bad, small portion, which is fine. The drunken noodle was the best part of the meal, that's not a good thing. Service and most of the apps and food leaves much to be desired.

Big space but we were in the front. Seems like it was an old Mexican Restaurant. We got seated right away. They had to clean off the table. We had to ask them to wipe it down because they did not. I didn't want food to come on a dirty table. Server was nice and answered questions on the menu. We ordered. I got the creamy soup appetizer and the nom nom cold noodles with goza. Both were great and delicious. The soup was hot and had lots of goza and veggies. The noodle bowl also had lots of fresh veggies and crispy. The dressing is a vinegary mix that cuts thru the fresh veggies. It pairs perfectly. The portion is a good size. I was stuffed and could not finish. I really wanted to though. If you are vegan this is a good spot for you. Lots of choices. Prices were pretty good and you got a good amount of food. The only issue was the not clean table we had to ask to get cleaned. And they did that. Oh and the bathroom was kinda messy too. So take that as you wish. But not a bad find.

The inside of the new restaurant is much bigger, but you have to wait quite a while to be served and for your food. There are a lot of windows so the inside is a little chilly in the winter. We have tried to order takeout on occasion and each time something has gone wrong or something was missing. The pad Thai had no sauce or flavor on it whatsoever. They also don't serve as big of portions anymore and took away the large size bowls. I'm not sure what happened between the restaurant moving locations, but I hope it can get back on track. This used to be our favorite place.
