The chicken Raman was very well done and tasty. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were very polite and helpful . I will be back to try more it was very tasty. The various teas looked good.

A pretty decent ramen place. I was perplexed to see that they had a giant robot kiosk to place an order with, perhaps due all the people here writing bad reviews regarding service, though there was a young lady at the table asking if she could help and repeatedly insisted, asking if I needed help - which was nice, but the kiosk was pretty straight forward. I got the tonkotsu ramen, and it was pretty good! It is on par with some of the better ramens in Kalamazoo. They didn't try to put wacky or crazy stuff in it like kiwi or cilantro or anything weird - just a real. classic. bowl. of. ramen. Every ramen place (even in Japan) usually have one stronger focus point of their ramen, and this place's focus was their meat, it was pretty good. The pickled bamboo was standard, naruto was standard, noodles were standard, eggs were a smidge overdone, the broth was good and the meat was good. I'd say if you want ramen, definitely go to this place, as they are pretty darn close to the real thing. They aren't anything extravagantly fancy, but if you want a near traditional bowl of ramen, they got you covered.

When I indicated I was Vegan for medical reasons, they were very receptive to my concerns. The owner came out and talked with me to make sure that what they were making was compliant with my needs. Even though the "Creamy Vegan Ramen" indicates "Vegetarian Soup Base", they assured me that it was Vegan. They also informed us that both the Miso and Spicy Miso Broth are Vegan and the order can be customized to omit the included Meat & Eggs. Even though they charged us the same price as the non-Vegan Ramen, we asked them if they would include extra Noodles and Vegetables and they did at no charge. Both the Creamy Vegan Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen were rich and flavorful. The cashier who took our order had such a positive energy. She was friendly and delightful with everyone who entered. We didn't order any Bubble Tea, however, they showed us on a couple of the packages that SOME of the "Milk" Tea is Non-Dairy. I wish they would indicate on the menu which Tea is Dairy-Free. Even though you can order and pay for your meal at the kiosk, I recommend paying at the cashier, so you can specify and be assured that what you are ordering is Vegan.

With the new snow outside both my husband and I decided definitely a ramen day! Fellow Yelper, Rob, had suggested this place so we thought we'd give it a shot. I ordered the miso ramen with chicken instead of the pork. Husband ordered their Taiwanese crispy chicken with side of fries. We were pleased with both! In fact, husband wanted to try their regular chicken ramen (not miso, which also had different veggies) and as good as it was, we both agreed the miso was the better choice. My ramen was part of a combo of ramen and a medium boba of my choice. I chose the regular milk tea boba...which is usually my favorite. The boba bubbles were perfectly chewy and delicious. Not hard and weird. The milk tea was perfectly sweet and comforting. I will be back to get that combo soon!

Been here several times now. Love this bubble tea. My favorite thing to get - smoothies!!! They make them with FRESH fruit! Banana mango is my go to and you gotta add the boba to it. The avocado is nice. The motea fruit tea was refreshing - they use real fruit in it and it has a sweet and slightly tart flavor. The bubble tea is bomb. Great work, motea! **they double cup their drinks. Save a turtle and request a single cup. That's what I do.

This is a nice spot to hang out and share a meal with friends. The spicy ramen is great, it definitely all clears your sinuses. Orders are promptly brought out not long after either placing it through kiosk in store or at the counter. The milk boba definitely helps soothe a spiced out mouth.

I set down my boba cup and it exploded these cups are way to flimsy.

I'm so sad I love this place and was so excited about my boba I hadn't even had any yetI go here all the time and think that the cups are so flimsy for the price and I'm really so disappointed about this mess

Opening Day/Soft Opening for this Japanese inspired Ramen House, while their help was a little harry, I was still able to order in a timely manner! I think once they get all their ducks in a row - this can be a great place to pop in and indulge on some Ramen or just to grab some Boba!!! I'll be back after a couple weeks

Food was acceptable, but on the flavorless side...service was top and tea was really good, it's just the ramen that felt short

Such a cool spot!…read more We visited Toba on a recent Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by this cute little spot! The menu is lengthy with so many options to choose from! We were a little overwhelmed by the choices at first, but we quickly decided to try several different things to get a better idea of the flavors and what we might like best! We started with a house salad, which was so delicious! Fresh, yummy ingredients with a truly delightful ginger dressing! Hugh flavor! Next we ordered the Gyoza - this dish was AMAZING! The dumplings were perfectly cooked and served with a delicious traditional dipping sauce. Also included was a garnish slaw with a spicy mayo dressing - this complimented the dish SO well. This dish was honestly our favorite part of our entire visit and we highly recommend!! Of course we had to try a sushi burrito which is possibly their most unique offering! I've never heard of sushi in a burrito form before Toba, what a great idea!! It's basically a giant, handheld, wrapped up piece of sushi! We chose the Toba Burrito with steamed shrimp, shrimp tempura, spicy crab salad, avocado, tempura flakes, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. This was a delicious combination! Because it's in a burrito the ingredients are thicker compared to sushi, and you can taste each addition better, but my husband and I both agreed that while this was a very fun item to try, we prefer the regular sushi rolls to the burrito. Smaller bites of each combo of flavors is our preference. :) We also got a K-zoo sushi roll which was delicious but not as chilled as I expected it to be. These pieces were large, (bigger than a one bite piece of sushi) but packed with quality, fresh ingredients with really great flavors!! My husband and I both ordered a cup of tea, both were delicious and perfect for a cloudy, rainy day!! There are several options to choose from, we asked our waiter for further explanation and recommendations. :) There are so many more options to try at Toba - we will definitely be back to try more things, the ramen for one! :) The service at Toba was excellent! Our server was very attentive and helpful! Our order arrived very quickly and in perfect stages since we tried so many different things! The atmosphere is modern and seating is consolidated to a fairly small area. We were seated in the cutest front booth, right in the window. Best seat in the house, I'd say! Kalamazoo is beaming with great foodie spots! Toba is a great addition to the downtown scene!! :)

The rolls were - good - tasting. Not well rolled up, falling apart. Some were cut so thin they fell apart. Some so huge they needed a fork and to me that's kind of a no-no for sushi. One was so large it was to large man bites. But the flavor was good on most of them. And to answer the most important question, yes, I'm going back! You should try this place for sure!

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a charming cat statue at the entrance, which instantly sets a fun and welcoming tone. We ordered the korean style Short Ribs and Pad Thai Noodles. Let me just say the short ribs were absolutely delicious. Perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, I kept repeating how good they were no notes, just a flawless, traditional short ribs experience. The Pad Thai was okay at first, with a smaller portion than expected. We asked for a remake, and the second portion was much better. It was still on the lighter side, but the flavors were spot on authentic and satisfying. A squeeze of lemon elevated the dish beautifully! The space was clean and nicely maintained. There were a few flies, but the staff explained it was due to a recent wedding event that had kept the doors open. And honestly, I could see why someone would choose this venue for an intimate wedding the surroundings are beautiful, with lovely outdoor seats that add to the experience. It's casual, but the atmosphere has something special while surrounded by nature. I'd say this place is perfect for a daytime visit, especially to enjoy the sunshine and soak in the peaceful ambiance of the Texas Corners area. The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to explain the menu and give us thoughtful recommendations. There's even a cute corner fridge where you can grab drinks, ice cream and desserts , a nod to the restaurant's origin as part of an Asian grocery store. Now, it's blossomed into its own standalone restaurant branch, and it really shows in the care they put into everything. I'll definitely be coming back. I loved the vibes, the natural light, and of course the amazing food. Next time, I'm definitely trying their bubble tea. It looked so good, and almost every table around us had one!

Fortunately they can tape the bottle up if you can't drink it all there so you can enjoy the rest at home. My husband got the mango sake colada and loved it. Main entrees were Thai basil stir fry with shrimp and chicken combo and the duck breast served over noodles (pho). Both dishes were very good. Basil stir fry was a bit salty. Duck was tender and broth was delicious! They had a lot of yummy desserts but we didn't have any room. I would not hesitate to return if I lived in the area.

We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed.
