I ordered the Pasta Fresca (Rigatoni noodles in balsamic vinaigrette, roasted garlic, red onion, tomatoes and spinach, topped with parmesan cheese) with Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Breast. The noodles were fresh and the combination of flavors was satisfying. The chicken breast was pressed flat and coated in Parmesan before being pan fried. It added a nice flavor boost to the noodles. Terrible and extremely slow service. There were only two of us and we waited for 45-50 mins to get food brought to our table. Two sides and two smaller sized noodle dishes. The sides never came out and when we told the kid that was food running he just didn't care and we never got them. The kitchen staff didn't look like they knew what they were doing as they kept losing food and tickets. The food we did get didn't have any sauce and was way over salted/seasoned. I would maybe try a different one of these somewhere else but I wouldn't go back to this one if I was in the area. read more

I'm a fan of this fast casual noodles chain. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience eating at one. When I found myself downtown on a rainy Autumn Saturday afternoon with a limited amount of time to eat lunch, I luckily recalled this location off Market Square. It was completely empty except for staff working on pickup orders. The staff was wonderful and my order was ready fast. I went with the small portion of Penne Rosa. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the spinach and mushrooms were sautéed just the right amount with real shredded Parmesan cheese. Hot, tasty and filling, it really hit the spot. read more

A modest looking place in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh with some exotic dishes. The even have zucchini noodles that can be substituted for any pasta or noodles. If you are a total vegetarian or prefer gluten free, spell it out when placing the order and the dish will be altered to your taste buds. I ordered the Pasta Fresca with half penne and half zucchini, which came out to our table pretty quickly and tasted yum. They also have soups and salad, and couple of cookies for dessert. Its a place you can eat with no worries on calories because they seem to be counting it for you. The 1 star reduced is because of the quantity of the food. This is just a mediocre place to get pasta. It's not even that cheap, and the quality of the food isn't particularly good. I do like that they have a pretty broad menu, but it can be overwhelming. I decided to try the zucchini noodles with pesto and chicken (regular size) and the spicy Korean beef noodles. I thought the zucchini noodles were pretty good, but nothing special. The price for a regular is almost $15...and the portion was not very large at all. It did fill me up decently, but no leftovers. So if you're looking for a deal and don't have a coupon, avoid this place. I've had better iterations of zoodles elsewhere and I'd rather just support a local shop if the price is that high. The sauce was creamy and not too pesto-focused. Decent chicken portion and well cooked zoodles (I'm not a fan of the crunchy undercooked ones). Random big chunks of mushrooms in the pasta, some of which were undercooked. The Korean beef noodles, though, were not so good. The sauce was very thick and it tasted almost like you were eating a soup, but a very heavy soup. The noodles were also thick. The dish overall was not very flavorful or tasty. All in all, I'd avoid this place unless you have a deal. The food is quite overpriced and portions are not good at all. We were both overall happy with our meals here. I got the zucchini truffle mac with zucchini noodles, cheese sauce, black truffle,  roasted mushrooms and parmesan cheese with breadcrumbs. While I liked it, I didn't find the zucchini noodles particularly filling like I would ordinary noodles and it didn't really resemble mac and cheese so much as zucchini with a tasty mushroom sauce. I tasted the parmesan more than anything as the sauce, while tasty, did not have a particularly strong flavor. My generous partner also gave me almost half of his Pad Thai since I couldn't really feel full on the zucchini noodles. The Pad Thai consisted of rice noodles, egg, cabbage, peanuts, green onion and cilantro. Overall, I thought it was a decent take on it considering how difficult a dish Pad Thai is to make. It was not a "thai restaurant" quality but you can definitely tell it was Pad Thai and it still did fulfill that type of craving with the tangy tamarind and fresh ingredients. This restaurant is one of the more affordable restaurants in Market Square downtown and they do cater to vegans, vegetarians and people who are gluten free which is nice. I don't remember the last time I had pasta, so Noodles seemed like the perfect place to visit! Parking to get to this location is near impossible, but I enjoy walking through Market Square to get there, so I don't mind at all. I had the Penne Rosa this time, which was a little spicy but not too hot temperature-wise, and delicious all the same. I wish it was a little bigger for the price I paid, but I did enjoy this dish. The dining area was clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable eating environment. I was looking for something to eat on my last day in the City, and after taking a long walk around, I settled on Noodles & Co. I looked at their menu and decided on the Mac & Cheese with BBQ pork no fried Jalapenos. It was delivered to the table in a few minutes and I honestly devoured the whole thing, which is unusual for me. Every ounce was delectable. The meat was tender, the mac & cheese was flavourful and just right. I was really impressed. I -WISH- we had this franchise in Florida. I would visit frequently. For the $8.00 I spent I got a hefty helping ( and I ordered the small). The food was served at a great temperature and all in all I was truly happy with what I got. Way to go! They said the food was ready at 5:39, but delivery people hadn't shown up yet. I told them to cancel and refund my money, as I did not care for cold, stale old food. They said the delivery people had to be notified and they would refund my money. I ordered from their website; not a delivery company.
