After a long day of traveling, I was finally able to check in my hotel and all I wanted was something to eat. The pros is that you don't have to leave your hotel late night when you want something to eat/drink. Cons is that expect to pay pay more than normal for mid-level food. It was around 10:30 PM. There was just one employee working there. There was about 12 people ahead of me in line. After waiting a bit it finally came my turn. I ordered a sandwich. I forgot the name of it, but I had various types of meats on it and they ask if I wanted it toasted or normal, I ask for it toasted. It looked better than it tasted. I would give it about a 4 out of 10. The bread was very hard and the meat had no flavor to it. The only reason I decided to eat it was I was on an empty stomach and just needed anything at that point. I would only come back here if I wanted an overpriced beverage and I didn't want to go anywhere else.

The Nook Express is the grab & go casual food spot at the Linq on the Strip in Vegas. It's amazing because it's open 24 hours. But also, you might find a long line at 4am with everyone trying to get late night snacks! This is Vegas, baby, you never know. I have to say, my friend and I enjoy their pizza. We actually enjoyed all the food items we got here. It's not perfect but everything we got foodwise was surprisingly tasty. The chocolate chip cookie is huge and delish! I guess I should add the caveat that every time we came by, it was the end of our day and we were feenin' for snacks. As mentioned, that line can get long sometimes but also although it's a grab & go casual spot, some things can take some time to cook up. Most times it's quick but other times I've waited quite a bit. I never got coffee here as the room had a machine so didn't need it. But actually eats, Nook Express is a good option at the Linq!

The prices are a joke. A 500ml Fiji was $9.99 and a brown banana was $2.99 + tax. I felt robbed - I should have asked for the price .

Food was delicious, but VERY expensive. $17 plus tax for a sandwich and no sides is ridiculous. $8 for a croissant? We were in Paris last year, and croissants were $2. We only ate here because the hotel had given us a $50 credit, otherwise we would have eaten off the strip.

Strawberry Cheesecake. Cute, pink and tasty!

The line was not long, packed, loud, and busy as I had expected from previous reviews and I we're always to get right in and get our food fairly quick as well as back to our room. I started off with a large a hot chocolate which was pretty good and toasty with the Pesto chicken sandwich. I gave the sandwich a 6 /10 because it was kind of mushy, cold very small, and not much of the fresh mozzarella it said would be on the menu that I was looking forward to. However the strawberry cheesecake was pink, adorable and delicious which definitely was 10/10. I had asked for the regular white cheesecake with berries to have as well but they were out so that was a bummer. 45$ later I'm still to be honest hungry and I'd skip this unless you're grabbing a pastry and coffee before going somewhere during the day this is not a meal type of place but it's convenient considering it's so close to the rooms. However there are sooooo many more places to eat in this area I'd keep searching. I hope this helps :)

Man I am telling you that Nook Express is anything but fast. The lines are long and the staff unorganized. I was laughing at the woman who was making coffee and the one taking orders as the order taker was looking for her pen and there was at least a five minute conversation about the whereabout of the missing pen. The menu had a selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, pizza, pastries and sushi. The sushi in the display case did not look all that appetizing or fresh, so that was a hard pass. Even though I was down there early, they did not have all of the sandwich options, which seemed strange since it was still early. I ended up getting a ham and swiss cheese sandwich and a cinnamon roll. Both were ok, nothing special. From what I could see, the sandwiches are pre-made and require heating in the oven. Kind of reminded me of the sandwiches you get from Dunkin Donuts except with higher prices, which let's face it is just the price of eating in Vegas. For what I got, it was ok. The cinnamon roll was of a nice size and they warmed it up without me asking, which was great. For a "quick" meal, it is not bad, but man those lines are nuts.

I always come here for water whenever I'm at the Flamingo. This place is so cool, and the people here are always smiling and giving off positive vibes.

My husband and I visit Las Vegas frequently and will often find ourselves at The Linq when we're in town for a brief stay. During my most recent trip, I was in the mood to grab something quick for breakfast to start my day. Though I've stayed at The Linq more than a dozen times, this was my first time to make my way downstairs to the Nook Express. As most things in Las Vegas are heavily pricey, I was pleasantly surprised at the overall price point for the items they were offering for breakfast. A good variety of pastries, sandwiches, and other items to eat to start your day. Also, several offerings for hot and cold beverages that many enjoy in the morning. I wouldn't say the service was friendly, but it was direct and quick. It was apparent that the staff had a good rhythm of taking orders, ringing customers up, and getting drinks and food out in an efficient manner. That was their focus and they were successful with quickly moving customers through the line, though the warmness most may appreciate to start their day (especially on vacation) was missing. My wait time was low and my order was delicious. I ordered a large cold brew (with room for cream) and one of their massive pretzels. The cold brew was tasty and bold and the pretzel was warm, buttery, and...did I mention MASSIVE? I would say the Nook Express is really made for a guest "on the go." There are very few tables close by for one to enjoy their food/coffee, though they have a long counter space for people to sit and eat quickly. I've definitely been sleeping on the Nook Express while staying at The Linq. This is going to be my new morning go-to if my husband and I don't end up eating at the hotel's table service spot.

This Nook Express is located next to the Flamingo Promenade.

#75TH ANNIVERSARY FLAMINGO LAS VEGAS #2: QUICK BREAKFAST On the first Wednesday of August I came here for breakfast. This was convenient for me as I was staying at the Flamingo for five comped days. There are different types of sandwiches on display. Knowing that I was going to eat a heavy dinner that night I wanted to get food and coffee that would make me full throughout the day prior to dinner. I ordered The Seigel, which is a breakfast sandwich that consists of egg, sausage, and cheese on a bagel. I also order a hot white mocha. These two items were filling enough for me throughout the day. If you are staying at the Flamingo this Nook Express location is nice cafe to order food and beverages for breakfast.

There are two things I can guarantee when considering stopping by here for breakfast. They will not have all of the sandwiches listed on the breakfast menu available, unless you're of the first in line. There will be a line and chances are it will be about a 5-minute wait, unless you arrive really early. I found the breakfast sandwiches very filling and worth the price, unfortunately they do not offer any orange juice at all, something I found very disappointing, especially for a breakfast menu. If you're looking for a good breakfast on the run, this will fit the bill. Cheers!

But once you find the beautiful, ornate wooden door and step inside, you're transported into a charming little wonderland. The interior is unlike any other café in Las Vegas, with a greenhouse feel, small trees, unique décor, and plenty of cozy spaces to relax. The atmosphere is airy, whimsical, and fun. My favorite drink is the Iced Butterfly Latte, a delicious banana-flavored latte that's both unique and refreshing. I've also ordered the Berry Ricotta Brioche several times, and it's always amazing. The menu offers a great variety of pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty drinks, so there's something for everyone. Pro tip: Find a table before ordering! This place gets very busy, and seating fills up quickly. If you're with friends or family, have someone save a table while the others order. Overall, Gäbi is one of my favorite cafés in Las Vegas, and I continue to bring friends and family whenever I get the chance. Between the delicious food and drinks, the beautiful atmosphere, and the hidden speakeasy vibe, it's truly one of the most unique café experiences in town.

Restrooms were really clean and had the same style decor too, so I appreciated that attention to detail. However, I docked 2 stars since I couldn't order anything. I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

Ordered an ube coffee. Beyond amazing. Also got two strawberry cheese cake doughnuts and a mango mascarpone doughnut. Normally not a huge fan of filling doughnuts but these were perfect. Very small interior, but a vast selection of treats. They offer donuts, cookies, even banana bread! Unfortunately with my evening visit, all of the donuts were sold out. Again, I came for the cookies so not a problem. I chose the Cookie Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie as well as the White Chocolate Chip Ube. I took them home as take out. Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. Infinitely surpasses the quality of chains like Crumbl. Great stop in Centennial Hills amongst several businesses. Even relatively walkable for Las Vegas. Sweet find!

So yea, the staff can work on their attitudes a bit especially with the cramped up space formation they set up. Maybe their walkup window will work someday to just pick something up and go but it's still blistering hot out. Maybe if they had a covered area around the pickup window so people don't have to be sardines in there would be an idea Also, I wished the mango mochi had coconut whipped cream instead of regular whipped cream, that would turn up that dessert to a whole nother level for me
