Purple Potato Bakery has the good goods! I've been here a couple times now on a couple different trips to Vegas and I keep coming back! Opened a few years ago, this Filipino bakeshop has a ton of ube goods to satisfy your purple baked good needs. The Ube Tres Leche Cake is fun and full of flavor. The Ube Brioche donut is also highly recommended. Ube cheese bars, ube velvet cookies, ube crinkle cookies, ube cheesecake and even ube lattes! Yep, they have you covered for all the yammy treats. To be clear, they have so much more than just ube items like other donuts and flans. As a chocoholic, my favorite is their chocolate fudge brownie. Very indulgent and I'm all about. I'll definitely be back when in LV!

Impressive milk cheese rolls and ube tres leches! Their donuts sell out fast so I just got what was left over at the end of the day - and it did not disappoint! Not too sweet!

    Next time.

I have had a few friends recommend Purple Potato and I'm glad they did. I stopped in on the way home from an appointment. Choices, choices. After looking for some time, I got a leche flan polvoron brioche dougnnut and a Berry Basque burnt cheesecake. They were carefully placed in separate plastic containers and traveled nicely home. I had the doughnut for lunch. Very good tasting--rich with good filling. After dinner, I had the Berry Basque burnt cheesecake. This was also top notch. I will be stopping more often here. I need to try their ube offerings as I like ube things quite a bit.

A friend recommended Purple Potato Bakery & Café, and since my life basically revolves around sweets, I had to check it out. Filipino-owned with a display case full of tempting baked goods, it immediately caught my attention. I went with the leche flan polvoron brioche donut and the pistachio chocolate layered donut. Both had just the right amount of sweetness--not overpowering--and the creamy filling was the real winner for me. Fresh, balanced, and satisfying. Would I go back? Absolutely! Salamat!!

I came across this place and thought this would be a good idea for a pastry to celebrate my son's 2nd month. I was so excited because I love ube that I got a cheesecake and a donut!! They had plenty to choose from for desserts!! They were so delicious my oldest son devoured the donut!! Such a cute place to enjoy ube if you're a fan!!

This was a fantastic find after lunch. They carry mostly ube pastries, everything from ube bars, to cakes and donuts. The interior is very simple: A few seats with minimal artwork on the walls. When we walked in, there was a distinct smell of durian, but we didn't see any. The gal that helped us was very nice. She was patient while we looked over the display case and offered descriptions of what they have. We tried a few items we've never seen elsewhere before: pistachio croissant. Flaky with a bit of pistachio cream inside. Not heavy or buttery, topped with chocolate chips. Flan Creme brûlée brioche donut was very good. Light, filled with cream but not very sweet, topped with a crispy sugar topping. Delicious. Blueberry cream brioche donut was a bit sweeter and heavier, but still good. Mornjng was overpowering and not like the typical American style donuts where it's just way too sweet. There's a shared parking lot so finding a spot shouldn't be hard. And their signage stands out so it's easy to locate. I'll be going back to try some other items.

Service was good. The cashier was very friendly and pleasant. The door sucks, we almost didn't go in because we thought they're already out of business. The donuts looks beautiful! But the taste didn't really standout. Like the ube one didn't really taste like ube. The crème brûlée was a bit weak.

Never try before . The items only little bit not much . Inside clean . The cashier is polite . I bought 2 pastries . My fav is ube flan so delicious

Good Filipino pastry's, prices are affordable. Got to get there early as some of the popular items sell out quick. Nice workers and very helpful. They also sell drinks but we didn't try any this time. Looking forward to try more stuff next time

My first time trying Purple Potato! They have an amazing selection of Filipino-inspired pastries & desserts, but I only got to try their classic Chocolate Chip Levain cookie! Soooo yummy, not too sweet and baked chewy on the inside and a little crunchy on the edges. 5/5 The cashier was sooo sweet! She told me her recommendations for other cookies and desserts which I will def try next time!! service 5/5 There is a nice sitting area outside to eat and drink in this nice weather but it is not in the nicest area

I may have been expecting more from here. I was in Vegas visiting from out of state, came across a reel about this place n figured I should try it. The polvoron leche flan donut was ok, the dough was soft, you must like custard-flan because the middle is thick. I also got an ube ensaymada-it was soft but the ube was a bit too sweet for me. It was cute quaint store away from the main strip.

One of my new favorite bakeries in Las Vegas!! The Purple Potato Bakery is a Filipino American Bakery & Café. The store is located on Flamingo and Torrey Pines, next to a Archi's Thai Bistro. There is plenty of parking spots available! We ended up stopping by on a Friday evening around 5:00 P.M before the bakery closed! The current store hours are the following Monday - Tuesday: 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M Wednesday & Thursdays: Closed Friday - Sunday: 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M If you're looking for a catering order, you can place the order online and pick up at the bakery. Purple Potato Bakery also delivers within 10 miles of the bakery's location! The Purple Potato Bakery offers a wide range of donuts and sweets such as the following Oreo Cream Layered Donut Strawberry Shortcake Layered Donut Mango Cheesecake Brioche Donut Pies Cheesecakes and so much more!!! We ended up getting the following from the bakery Ube Cheesecake Coco Pandan Tres Leches Ube Brioche Donut The interior of the bakery is beautiful! We didn't eat inside and ended up taking the desserts to go instead. My husband and I split all three desserts in a evening! Everything was just delicious!! The Ube Cheesecake was perfect! It wasn't too sweet, and the consistency of the cheesecake was creamy and thick! The Coco Pandan Tres Leches was phenomenal! The Ube Brioche Donut was loaded with sugar on the outside and filled with a ton of Ube on the inside! It was soo yummy! The team member that was assisting us at the Purple Potato Bakery was awesome! She went through all of their different offerings and recommended her favorite desserts! This is a must visit if you're in the area!

A friend noted that her fave slice of cake was here so since her bday was coming up, I had to grab her some! A good size ube tres leches cake was $7. It looked so good! They had other pastries so I got a half dozen for $22. Of course, looking at all the yumminess, I HAD to get one for myself! I didn't even make it home to inhale my churro filled pastry! It was SO good!! It was fresh considering it was about 1pm in the afternoon. They had several other flavors like pumpkin spice and white chocolate! I wish this place was closer to me so I could visit often! The location was super easy to find, lots of parking out front and the service was so lovely. She was so glad that I was a first timer! I will be back!!

Ask the Community - Purple Potato Bakery

Do they actually bake with purple potatoes or is it just a fun catchy name?

We use a lot of UBE (purple yam) in our pastries, donuts and cakes.

Is this the former space of Jo's Malasadas? Any affiliation?

Yes former space. No affiliation. Purple Potato is far better.

Posting question for owners. Do these goodies keep well? I would love to take some goodies to my fam in California. We are traveling Tuesday so we would have to buy Sunday.

Hello! Filled donuts are suggested to be kept in the fridge if they’re not consumed on the same day since we don’t use any preservatives, pastry cream based is safer in the fridge. But cookies, crinkles should be ok outside. Thank you :)

Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. It didn't taste artificial at all like at St**b**ks. I'm pretty sure they make the apple syrup in house. Perfectly spiced and comforting. I would come back just for this drink but unfortunately I think it's a seasonal item. Strawberry Mille-Feuille: They make this fresh, so I had to wait about 5-10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. The pastry was beautifully crispy and the cream had the perfect texture with visible vanilla bean specks. I even found myself licking the paper it came on and didn't care who saw me because it was that good. Mushroom Crêpe: Yes, it's worth the hype. The photos online make it look very cheesy, but it's actually quite light. My husband doesn't like cheese and couldn't even taste it. I ordered it without mayo to keep it a little lighter. The tiny mushrooms were adorable, and it comes served in a cute crêpe holder. Coconut Cake: The cake was incredibly soft and fluffy with custard cream layered in between. They didn't have individual slices, so I ordered the mini cake for $17. Yes, I ate the entire thing. Yes, it was delicious. Yes, I think I've had enough coconut cake now in one sitting to last a lifetime. Yuzu Panna Cotta: Very unique. I haven't seen this dessert anywhere else. The yuzu adds a bright tangy flavor that almost makes the panna cotta taste like a creamy citrus yogurt. I'm really glad I tried it. Matcha Latte: Strong, high-quality matcha. Sometimes matcha drinks at cafés taste watered down, but not here. It's topped with matcha foam and little matcha brownie bits, which makes it extra special. Strawberry Dessert: My kids loved this. Every bite was a surprise. My 9-year-old found beans in one bite and then a big strawberry hidden in the middle. It was fun watching them discover it. Parking is easy and straightforward, and the café itself is absolutely adorable. If you have time, sit down and enjoy the experience.
