I loved the fish and chip places before this and wondered if they would keep it the same. I like that they offer other things as well. The noodles are cheap but I think it's not a meal unless you add extra noodles. The fried chicken nugget is seasoned so well and the portion is good. Fish and chips is just as good as before. Big piece of fish and lightly battered fries. The only downside is that their tartar sauce is watered down. Everything is self serve so you have to clean up and separate things after you are finished. They may need to change their suggested tipping structure based on this. Ample parking in front.

This little joint has everything snacks and a few noodle dishes. Their salt and pepper chicken nuggets are divine. Customer service is top notch and they're so grateful when you visit.

It's soft opening this week till August 1, 2025. The soft opening prices are very affordable with most items under $10. It takes over "The Sea House Fish and Chips" restaurant space when the owners retired. As that was an institution in this neighborhood with many loving the cheap fish and chips, the new owner got the recipe and put it on the menu. So you get a predominantly Chinese menu of noodles and dumplings with fish and chips. Be patient if you're heading there this week. It is around 20-30 mins wait as they are pretty busy and they do not have the ordering system in place yet. The plates are also not available yet so everything is in take out boxes even if you're dining in. I think they rushed my order as they felt bad for the 30 mins wait when they said it would be 10 mins. Other people who ordered after me got their food first. Results of the manual queue of food orders which was messed up. The wontons with spicy sauce were a bit dried up from the wait for all items to be ready. Same with the Dan Dan noodles. I wished they put more sauce to the dishes. They were tasty but not as good on the areas which did not get the sauce. The fish and fries for the fish and chips could be cooked a bit longer. Thank goodness I was able to air fry them at home to get them crispy. The Taiwanese style popcorn chicken (salt and pepper chicken nuggets) was very yummy. This was cooked perfect. I was given the tofu thread salad appetizer as an apology for the longer than expected wait. Great service recovery and attitude. The food is good and I hope they will do well. Limited parking in the plaza. Street parking is available. I will come back again after they iron out all the teething problems.

Looks like Sea House has finally respawned and partially reincarnated. The OG fish and chips are still there (the old Sea House grandma passed the recipes over and still partially works here), but now this place also serves (mainland) Chinese food court (think Crystal Mall) food. Yes, fish & chips and xiaolongbao at the same time. I have photographic proof. As of the time of writing, they're doing a soft opening. The owner mentioned that pricing will change, so pop by for a deal if you can over the next few days. Parking is available in the plaza lot, as well as the side streets. Staff are friendly. They're still working out the kinks in terms of daily operations. While I never tried the Sea House fish & chips, I must say that the fish I had was nice and juicy, and also wasn't too heavily battered, which is nice. Tartar sauce was a bit salty. Xiaolongbao - delicious. Just like the ones at Crystal food court. Served with (salted?) vinegar and a small dish of pickled radish. Minced pork and yellow pea special dry noodle - This was recommended by the owner. Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but the noodles basically seemed like spaghetti. The meat and peas were fine. Thin pool of chili oil at the bottom. Maybe they'll tweak the recipe in the future. In any case, worth checking out in the future. Here's to hoping they do well.

Noople Noodle & Dumpling House is at the same location as Sea House Fish & Chips, and the same owners as Sea House are actually in the kitchen still making their fish and chips. According to the new owner (who hopes to make Noople Noodle into a franchise), they are still in "soft launch" and very open to feedback. Therefore expect tweaks to continue happening. Standout features include under-$10 mains (e.g., Dan Dan noodles) and value for money with a filling amount of food, such as the Chicken Nugget and XiaoLongBao combo for $17.99). -Signature Fish and Chips (2 piece, $12.50) Nothing wrong here. Crispy on the outside, didn't feel oily, tender and juicy fillet. My friend's order. He felt it was decent but not the best he's ever had. Still, a safe order at an okay price. -Dan Dan Noodle ($7.99) Not sure what I was expecting here. I totally confused them with Kingyo's superb Tan Tan noodles so I think I gave the owner incorrect feedback here. Oops. The noodles sat on top of the sauce and once mixed the sauce did cling to the noodles very clearly and it wasn't a skimpy amount, but the sauce and condiments on top did not combine into flavor for unclear reasons. Mostly I tasted noodle here. They may start tweaking this sauce to make this better than it is. Currently, even at the price point, it's just flavourful enough to be on the menu. -Salty & Pepper Chicken Nuggets (normally $9.99?) Tender, juicy, and not oily when they were served. I was so pleased by how juicy this was that I forgot they were supposed to also be salty and peppery, which they weren't. Points off for that, unfortunately. But price point was good and as deep fried chicken goes, it was really decent. -XiaoLongBao (normally $9.99?) Decently done, soup is inside as expected, tastes good. Slightly smaller than some of the ones you can get at Crystal Mall, but the last time I had some there, they were soggy, the soup poured out, and my friends got diarrhea. -non-alcoholic Pineapple Beer ($2.99) Hard pass on this. Tasted like watered down pineapple juice with light fizz. Way overpriced for what it is although it's not excessively sweet compared to more commonly availble carbonated drinks. Space is bright, spacious, and clean. Counter service, no waitstaff, and tipping not required but appreciated.

I drove by on my way home from work. The parking was okay, but limited. When you enter you order at a kiosk or the counter. The waitress does not come to you (keep this in mind). I ordered XLB soup dumplings and dandan noodles. When the order was ready, I was told I had to come to the counter to pick it up (don't tip at the machine for service as there is none). The XLB was bland and cold. I tried piling on chili oil and black vinegar. They didn't save it. The Dandan noodles were store bought spaghetti and was kinda bland. I will not be coming back here.

I made a special trip today to visit the newly opened noodle shop, which I heard also features the iconic fish and chips restaurant that operated in Vancouver for over 30 years. Though I was especially craving soup dumplings, I ended up ordering their wontons in chili oil--and they were surprisingly delicious! I also tried their crispy and juicy popcorn chicken, which was fantastic too. Best of all, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable! I'll definitely be back to try other dishes!

I thought it was a burger place befoer looking at the menu. They do fish & chips, salads, wraps, burgers, burritos, fried chicken, and fries. This is pretty impressive I must say. Special mention. I just stood there and stared. The menu boards inside the restaurant run the entire length of the counter. Staff are friendly, though the ordering is quite slow. As Andrew M mentioned, the layout is indeed quite inefficient. There are only 4 small tables (8 seats total) for the entire place, along a wall. The rest of it is one giant kitchen. Best to do takeout to be honest. The fish and chips were pretty decent, but quite pricy. Not great value. Fries were honestly quite mediocre. I'd stick to the cheaper items such as wraps or burgers. Wouldn't mind coming back to try some of the other stuff at some point.

My next visit is this!!! 2) Clean: The whole restaurant was clean (minus the table behind us who left). Nice open kitchen so you can see everything. I don't know if chef will kill me, but he offered us the staff-only handwashing station bc we came in filthy after a day of gardening. I don't know if this is offered to every guest. But people need clean hands & a toilet. This is why you won't get above 4* 3) Food: Chef offered me if I didn't love his recommendation, he would pay double. I ate 1 bite and told him to keep his $$. He offered me the Crunchy Chicken Wrap. It's SOOOO loaded w chicken & huge, made 2 meals for me. But next time I really want spicy chicken, or Angry fish. 4) Place: I give the place 3.5 stars...only bc there's only 8 seats (very busy), and no toilet. I was happy chef let us wash our hands but I think this was a one off. People need a place to wash their hands, despite staff only areas. Also people like to go to the bathroom when they're dining in. 5) Parking: you can park out back: they share space w Beefway, or park along Kingsway off hours. Chef was so communicative & generous in my order. My friend got the double burger, and we shared chili fries. Everything was top tier, even the chili fries. Just not chilli: just spiced beef crumble. But to all the fries haters who posted: you are SOOO off! These were twice fried fries (crispy outside, soft inside), plus the spicy dust is amazing! Edit: Downlow fries have better dust. Also...good sign: we came in about 10:15pm...they close midnight. They were packed with in-house diners, delivery drivers, and their own website delivery. You know a place is good when the stoner-hour is blowing up their delivery!

Everyone in his section was taken care of; no one waited with empty glasses or plates. Mateo has great energy. We ordered the fish tacos (2) with truffle fries, man's man sliders (2) with regular fries, and mini donuts. Food was delicious and hot. My husband liked the sliders so much, he ordered another. We've come here a few times before and always sat in the back room. Window seats offer beautiful views of the Fraser River and path along the river. We gave 4 stars because the bar area was cold with the patio door being kept open. We left at halftime cuz it was too cold.
