I have a mild chickpea/lentil allergy that is fine with cross contamination but I still need to avoid them, I was wondering if the lamb vindaloo or butter chicken contain either of these ingredients in the sauces?

Each page of the cd book was a different part of the menu, including drinks, happy hour (from 2-6pm), and food. So fun, and unlike anything I've ever seen before. The food was so fresh and delicious. Loved the pomegranate seeds and lightness from the Sev Puri Chaat, bite size garbanzo bean/potato goodness! And standing O for that flatbread..pro-tip: get a side of the Tikka Masala sauce to pour on top. Absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Tikka Masala, and having that sauce be a base for a pizza...come on!! We did chicken as the protein. Overall, so happy to return and have East Bay Spice back apart of the Berkeley rotation again. Small, dimly-lit, cool digs. I thoroughly enjoyed this plate and would 100% come back to order it again. My husband ordered the flatbread, though I can't remember the exact name, and it was surprisingly delicious as well. It tasted almost like a pizza version of the chicken tikka masala, making it a great shareable option if you're looking to snack, chat, and enjoy cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, the bartenders seemed very knowledgeable and helped me choose a drink based on my preferred spirit and cocktail style. (I guess the bakers got too enthusiastic with the water bath.) The crumb was tight but came off more as dry than chewy. And the malt syrup was poured with a liberal hand -- there is no subtlety to the flavor. To their credit, the cream cheese is well paired. It brings its own flavor with a noticeable tang, and it is dense. You need a bagel that will hold up under the pressure of a knife while spreading the thick schmear. I love that Saul's is making bagels in house now, but I think I will look elsewhere on their menu for the real comfort foods.

We were greeted by cheerful and attentive Pavan. Service was impeccable which is often a bone of contention at an Indian restaurant. Dining is not just eating. It is an experience with many layers. Along with the taste, it needs presentation aesthetics, attention of the server who is attentive but not overbearing. Now I am thrilled to talk about the centerpiece that is food. Each item we tried tickled and invigorated our palate. Sheekh kebab was perfection, and yellow daal tadka with laccha paratha took me back to my mother and my aunt's kitchen. The exceptional service provided by Oshika, Pavan, and Shrasta, paid attention to every minute details. Our guests were bowled over by Noor's curated menu, elegant decor, all created especially for the joyous event! The starters like Watermelon Feta Salad refreshed the palate making it ready to be tickled by the delectable tangy Kale Chaat. This was followed by the flavorful Sheekh Kabab that fully awakened the gustatory buds. Good lord! We just had the best chicken biryani in California! Absolute must try. Outstanding service and delicious food. Easy to reserve. Fine dining without any of the frills. Yelp Elites: Have your eyes on this restaurant. This place can give the Copras and Roohs a run for their money! Red wine sangria: 4/5 Well made. Arrived at our table with some delay. We thought they could have added fewer ice cubes but it was a good complement to our meal. Paneer Pakora: 3/5 Tender paneer. Tasted decent. But the outer shell felt a little dry for the pakora. Kale chaat: 2/5 This was just a massive bowl of sev. The kale was disproportionately sized for a chaat where that was meant to be the dominant ingredient. The chutneys also felt a little on the sour side than sweet side. Tandoori wings (5/5) This was tandoori chicken. I would rename their menu item to call it that. Cooked to perfection. So was the taste. And fantastic red colors! Chicken biryani (100% perfect) This was OUT OF THE WORLD. Perfectly cooked basmati rice with balanced flavors and good amount of tender flavorful chicken meat. Well sized portion for a table of 3. I also appreciated the cashew garnish. I would go on to add that after sampling biryanis across the length and breadth of the Bay Area, this is the best chicken biryani I've had outside of India. Amritsari Chole: 4/5 No surprises here. Can't go wrong with chole. Delicious as expected. I would have loved to see the onions be finely chopped. No other qualms. Gulab Jamun with ice cream: 5/5 Wow. The delicate and delicious warm Gulab jamun balls blew me away. They were also kind to offer an extra for the table. This was truly the icing on the cake. Haven't had gulab jamuns so good in a long time. No lumpy dough on the inside, just a warm whoof of air packed in a bouncy gulab jamun! Order this without second thoughts! The food at Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen was flavorful, but the overall experience was disappointing. There was incense burning inside the restaurant, and the strong scent made our eyes water and it was hard to sit comfortably. During our visit, my elderly mother, who has a bladder condition, had an accident at the table. Instead of responding with kindness or understanding, the staff were rude and made the situation worse. The owner wasn't very compassionate either -- she first said the cleaning fee would be $150, then reduced it to $100 to replace the chair. The staff were incredibly kind, and they even took a photo of us together, which made the visit extra special. The food was delicious and the service was excellent -- my only small gripe is that the tables for two are pretty tight, especially if you like to share dishes. The butter Chicken is out of the world. They claim to have the best butter chicken and I think it truly is. The flavors were so perfect and the chicken was tender and soft. I placed an online order for the C Chicken Momos and the Garlic Cheese Naan, which were both phenomenal. The naan was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fluffy, thick, and pillowy soft, and was not overly charred/thin or too crispy like other naan. Just pure doughy goodness. There was also a perfect amount of cheese filling--enough that you got the subtle kick of milky acidity, but not too overpowering. The naan itself was also not too greasy, and the garlic flavor was very aromatic. You could also taste a hint of the slight tartness from (I'm assuming) the yogurt used to make the naan. The "C" Chicken Momos came with eight large pieces, which is definitely enough to fill you up. The sauce tasted like a classic sweet-and-sour sauce with a very mild and pleasant spice. Also, because the dumplings were fried, they were crispy despite being covered in sauce, but still had a bit of the nice chew you would get from a steamed momo skin. The fillings themselves were also super flavorful: you get a herbal and fresh taste from the ginger, which balanced the tanginess of the sauce so the meal did not feel too heavy, and the subtle nuttiness and pepperiness of cumin in each bite. The dumplings also had some warm broth in them, which is perfect for a cold day. The prices are fair too. You can often find small discounts on Snackpass or delivery apps like GrubHub. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend!
