Sam was great to speak with and he answered all of my questions and gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote (given all the increased taxes and tariffs due to the Trump administration ripping off Americans!!) and scheduled time for them to come and install a new gas insert. The installers were quick and professional and did a good job installing the new gas insert, everything looks great and the fire is warm. :)

Ralph does a good job of coordinating all the work involved. I appreciate the attentiveness, and careful design work, that included Jacob's hand-carved borders around the marble hearth. Justin saved me from having to cut into my walls to add an electrical line by effectively running a line down to the fireplace from my attic. Paul's a knowledgeable and excellent painter. Ralph and his team do exceptional work and they are definitely experts.

After randomly guessing, he claimed the issue was the motherboard and promised to order the part and return for free within two weeks. Three weeks passed--nothing. When I called, they had no record of my service and never followed up. After multiple calls, they finally claimed they knew which part to order but still didn't. A week later, they hadn't even placed the order. Frustrated, I asked for a manager and got the owner, who started screaming at me, yelling, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" Maybe not scam people?! Then, after all their delays and failures, they tried to charge ANOTHER $380 for installation--after saying it was included. I finally called a real technician who found the actual issue in minutes--a simple pipe blockage that was easily fixed. No motherboard, no expensive parts, just pure incompetence from Green Fireplace Solutions. To top it off, a standard service should cost $150-$250, NOT $380 for nothing. They wasted my money, misdiagnosed the issue, and yelled at me for asking them to do their job. Avoid this place at all costs!

Bob arrived and gave a quote -- it was A LOT, but we went ahead and proceeded based on the other good reviews. Bob recommended a mantel company called Mantels Direct, which we went under the assumption that Fireplace Transformations had established relationships with dealers and knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, despite being over $2200, the mantel was a really cheap composite wood with visible lines across the seams both on the wood and the marble. After complaining about this, Fireplace Transformations said this wasn't their problem, despite the fact that they were the ones who had recommended the company. The fireplace and mantel installation itself was not very good. Not only did it look sloppy, but Bob never came by to check on the work or make sure we were happy with it. They completely cut us loose after it was installed. Any complaints were met with defensiveness and redirection. But don't take my word for it. Pictures are worth 1000 words. This is the FINISHED product, mind you. If you're looking to overpay at a one-stop shop for mediocre quality and sloppy installation, then Fireplace Transformations will happily oblige.

I have had two other fireplace companies at the house and neither one of them fixed anything or knew what to do. Neither tech was confident they could fix the problem or get parts. They looked and looked, consulted their phones and gave up and left. I called Monte's Fireplace Service and got Sean Christmann on the phone. I told him what issues were and he made an appointment to come look. Sean and I went from one fireplace to the other together and he diagnosed each fireplace for its unique problem. Three out of five he got working in minutes, on the spot, and he made up a list of needed parts for the other two fireplaces. no messing around trying to guess what was wrong. Sean clearly knows what he is doing and didnt waste any time coming up with a solution and getting the job done. Sean said he will get the parts, repair the other two fire places when he comes back. and will also service, and clean fireplace. Some need to be restocked with glowing embers etc. and he will take care of that and clean the glass. These days its a pleasure to meet a business guy that knows his trade and knows how to solve problems. I highly recommend Sean and Montes Fireplace Service for whatever you fireplace needs are.
