He's very professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. He communicated really well throughout the process from the time I requested the quote until the job was complete, which I really appreciated. So this year we had them back and yep, still on point (clean, prompt, returned every call) and since this was during Covid-19 explained what I should expect and how to protect both the tech and my family. They found we needed some basic repairs which the tech explained to me along with showing me pictures of what needed to be done. We had them back out to do the repairs after we had the house painted. The tech was awesome - he asked for any trim paint just in case he dinged anything. I can't recommend them enough!

I told him what issues were and he made an appointment to come look. Sean and I went from one fireplace to the other together and he diagnosed each fireplace for its unique problem. Three out of five he got working in minutes, on the spot, and he made up a list of needed parts for the other two fireplaces. no messing around trying to guess what was wrong. Sean clearly knows what he is doing and didnt waste any time coming up with a solution and getting the job done. Sean said he will get the parts, repair the other two fire places when he comes back. and will also service, and clean fireplace. Some need to be restocked with glowing embers etc. and he will take care of that and clean the glass. But instead he told us our system was good to go and that even though there was something a little wonky with the flue and the way the previous owner left it, he believed we still had life in it as it was, and should not have any issues. He was very detailed and professional with his inspection and his explanation, and asked to be kept in the loop once we had lit our first fire. He also recommended we use an "over the counter" product to reduce soot accumulation over time, again demonstrating he was more concerned about us taking good care of our chimney, rather that sell us on a sweep. At one point, we will need a sweep, and at one point, we will need to replace the flue, and you know I will give Douglas a call back to get my business, as well tell all my clients (I am a real estate agent) in need of a chimney work he is a rare gem.
