The bracket is loose and seems improperly shaped - I don't know how it ever could have worked. TL; DR: Outstanding professional work at a fair price when you need it! I used this company 3 years ago to unclog my kitchen sink. (Me vs garbage disposal, guess who lost?) Fast forward to this current issue. We were members of this company's HVAC and plumbing maintenance program for several years. The concept is great - but execution was consistently poor. The biggest issue: they simply could not keep appointments. Frequent no-shows, missed windows, and last-minute reschedules turned routine maintenance into a recurring hassle. The second issue: constant upselling. Nearly every visit came with a "the system is fine" but we recommend additional products or upgrades. The final incident made us cancel: They performed routine maintenance on a system that was working fine when they arrived. After the maintenance, the HVAC unit wouldn't turn on. We were told it was "about to fail" and the maintenance did not cause the failure. (Debatable.) Conveniently, they had the part on hand but would only install it if we paid out of pocket - even though the part was under warranty. (Don't worry, another company replaced the same part under warranty the following day.) I would think carefully before signing up for a membership. read more

I had a small 1/2 inch crack on my PVC outdoor faucet 'tee fitting connector' and it was leaking, I called a plumbing company who quoted me $485 to repair it, I thought that was a little expensive and decided to call Moore Home Services, I agreed to their $99 show up fee thinking they couldn't be more expensive than the previous place that I called, their bid was $910, almost double of the other company, I asked why it was so expensive and the fellow said that they were a big company and they offered a warranty, I declined their bid and paid the $99, I found a great company who repaired my leak for $370, moral of the story, don't call Moore Home services if you have a small repair job unless you don't mind paying a high price. read more

Spent 20 mins diagnosing, but the rest of the time it was a sales pitch to convince us to upgrade to a heat pump system. Said our Furnace was 2-3 months away from failing. To verify, I called PG&E for a free safety inspection. The technician laughed when I mentioned Moore; said he gets calls all the time about them tricking older customers to pay for work that didn't need to be done. Inspected out furnace; no issues whatsoever. Glad we took that step or we'd be out $25K! Also, notice how they only respond to positive reviews? Wonder why?? Stay away from these guys. read more

This company is professional and i have had the maintenance service for several years but feel they are too expensive when they suggest solutions to problems when they come out. In addition, I decided to end the maintenance due to two recent interactions: 1) I had a garden pipe that was leaking and they quoted me about 800 to repair a small piece 2) My water heater broke and they quoted me a very high price plus they offered a water heater from American Water/Standard which is a very low rated product. Today was a "check up" of the HVAC system, which is provided free of charge for those joining a $19.00 monthly fee for any service of HVAC/plumbing. I've never had an issue with cancelled appointments and have ALWAYS had the most attentive staff and on time. This week I had David & Austen out to doair conditioning system maintenance (installed 2024) and cleaning. As usual, their attention to details were so appreciated. I lamented that I didn't have remote capability and had asked for that. Team David/Austen indicated that I DO have remote capability but need my internet provider to place it separately on a 2.4 Mh (separate from other devices). I am very disappointed with the service I received from Moore Home Services regarding the repair of my two-year-old natural gas water heater. On December 5, 2025, I contacted the company because my water heater was no longer producing hot water. During the visit, the technician diagnosed the problem as a faulty gas control valve. I expressed my doubts, as the unit is still fairly new and gas control valves typically last much longer. I also suggested that the pilot assembly was the more likely issue based on the symptoms, but my concerns were dismissed. The technician insisted that the gas control valve "must" be replaced first per manufacturer requirements. Feeling pressured--especially with my family needing hot water restored quickly--I agreed. To reduce the cost, the technician also encouraged me to purchase a membership, which I accepted. Even with the membership discount, I still paid $991.75 (with the non-member price quoted at over $1,400). In hindsight, this should have been a warning sign, but I trusted that a professional technician would provide an honest and accurate diagnosis. Unfortunately, after the gas control valve was replaced, the water heater still didn't work. Only then did the technician replace the pilot assembly--a warranty-covered part--which immediately resolved the issue. This confirmed that the pilot assembly was the true root cause, exactly as I had initially suggested. I find it unacceptable that I was charged for an unnecessary gas control valve replacement that did nothing to fix the problem. Had the pilot assembly been correctly diagnosed first, the only cost should have been labor. I have contacted Moore Home Services with my complaint and am waiting to see how they will respond. However, based on this experience, I do not plan to use their services again. I still have one month left on the membership I paid for, but after reading other customer reviews, I'm concerned that I may end up being taken advantage of again. On August 27, 2025, Moore performed major work on our HVAC system which included a new furnace and air conditioner. I paid for the permit and was told Moore works with the city to arrange the inspection which usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. After not hearing from Moore, I placed my first call to them on 11/24/25. What followed were multiple calls to Moore, emails to the design technician and calls to a company the works to clear the job before the city inspects the work. Finally, after Moore having to come back and correct some items that the tech from the company that does the final inspection found were not in compliance, the work was approved today by the city and the permit is issued. That is over 8 months from when the job was done! This has been a very frustrating process. Moore was very lax in communication to me about what the problem was in getting the permit arranged. I am very disappointed with the company. I will say that the technicians that came to the house were all very professional and friendly. read more

I contacted Moore Home Services about a clog that resulted in a sewage backup. They provided an estimate of $23,600 for "partial replacement of two bathroom drains" and "excavation of the front yard to install a two-way clean out." I agreed to the estimate naively thinking the excavation work justified the cost. However, no major excavation was actually done --only a small 2-by-2-foot hole was dug to install the clean out. In total, the labor came to no more than 30 man-hours, which works out to roughly $753 per hour, not taking into account materials. When I asked the salesperson to explain the pricing, he refused to provide any meaningful justification or adjust the final bill. The two employees who actually performed the work were very skilled and professional. Also, Moore Home Services is not locally owned as stated on this website. It is funded by a private equity firm in New York. I have since got a second estimate for additional work they wanted to sell me. Nowhere near the exorbitant quote they provided. read more

We would like to thank Ryan from Moore Home Services for taking care of us and our home last week. We had rodents this past month destroy our air ducts. We were worried about the cost and the mess of pulling out dirty 30 yr old ducts. Ryan from Moore Home Services, came to our home, went under the house, took photos then met with us to go over the damage and costs. Ryan got us scheduled and brought in two outstanding techs; Jake and Mauricio to take out and install all new air ducts. They would call us each morning as they left the shop with an ETA so we would not be sitting around waiting. When they arrived, they knew the layout, setup up a staging area and got right to work. They made sure the furniture and flooring were safely covered from any possible dirt. When they left for the day, the work areas were cleaned up with all trash removed from our home. This company is a scam and predatory. My widowed mother had a problem with her toilet. They were asking $550 to fix it. She called my husband who then figured out the problem and bought the replacement part for $17 and fixed it in less than 15 mins. She didn't want to bother us and tried to fix the issue herself. I have had some finance difficulties this month and wanted to cry. I can't afford a new one. Troy tried to get it financed and couldn't. I apologize for the late review. The end of November 2025, Cavin and Sean from Moore came out for my yearly furnace inspection of a 22 year old furnace. Previous year's inspection with pictures showed that a replacement would probably be needed in the future. They agreed that the problem was getting worse. I decided to get the furnace replaced. Cavin selected the best furnace for this house and set up appointment within a couple of days. PJ and Mauricio came out and installed the new furnace. They did an excellent job! As always with Moore, employees are knowledgeable, friendly, hardworking, work areas are left spotless, and they always take time to explain if you have questions or concerns. Shifty business.... I bought into a yearly maintenance service and scheduled an appointment during the first year of coverage. I had to reschedule due to a family issue. I rescheduled, and they never showed up. I left a few messages with them, but there was no response. Then, a year into the contract, they auto-renewed on me. They did refund the renewal fee of $140, but refused to refund the first year's fee. I sent them an email asking for the fee for year one, but there was no response. I do not recommend these guys, and I will never-ever do business with them in the future. read more

We used Moore home services to install a heat pump to replace our outdated air conditioner 18 months ago. At first, we were happy with the installation and product. They encouraged us to join their "club" to have yearly regular inspection. Fast-forward to this year when we had them come for the inspection. They told us everything looked great. However, they did not inspect the ducting, or if they did, they didn't tell us that it had been penetrated by rodents. Instead, they told us we needed to replace all our water piping underneath the house and give us an estimate of $30,000! We had another reputable, plumbing company come look and they disputed that claim saying there was nothing wrong with the plumbing. I'm completely disappointed! Had they informed us that there was damage to the ducting several months ago, we could've perhaps saved having to replace the whole thing now. Joe came the same day I called Moore Home Services regarding a leak at my water main valve and extremely low water pressure throughout my house. He quickly diagnosed the problem and came back the next day to install a new shut off valve, restoring full pressure back to my plumbing system. He was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. As he was leaving, he noticed that my neighbor and boyfriend were working to remove a very large plant stump in the front of my property, and popped out of his truck with a saws all and proceeded to make quick work of its removal!
