Bait and switch! Get a written estimate before he starts anything. I made my appointment online to clean one room. It was quoted as a $50.00 job. I told my husband to expect another charge for pet stains, I thought maybe $15.00 to $20.00 for the room. We made a last minute appointment for the next day and were so happy to get it that we were prepared to give them $100.00. I had a front room to be done, we had already moved all the furniture. It's about a 16 x 16 room. The furniture we didn't move was one sofa, one love seat one entertainment center and one side table, so there was only a 10 x 10 square. We also asked for another 3 x 3 foot section in the adjoining dining room and to spot clean one spot on an area rug that we had moved to the front porch. It was a 6" x 6" stain. He did everything we asked and he did a great job. It only cost us $150.00!!! We thought we were going to be nice and give double what we asked were to pay. When he said "O.K. that'll be $150.00" we were shocked! The breakdown was as follows Front room was $70.00, the pet stains were $25.00, the small 3' x 3' foot section was $35.00 and the area rug spot was $20.00. We told him we were happy with his job, which we were, but really felt that he didn't explain exactly how much the extras would cost. We told him that we were going to double the price of what we were quoted for a big tip, but that he left us no choice to pay exactly what we were billed. We pay in cash and actually had to scrounge around upstairs to find the extra $50.00 to pay him. Again, we were very happy with the thoroughness of his work and the overall job, we just don't want other people to get much larger bills that they expect. Triple the costs was too much and we are warning you to get your quote in writing first and then we are sure you'll be happy his work read more
