I was tasked with finding a company to clean my parents' old Chinese rug, which they had purchased many years ago. Unfortunately, mold had begun growing on the surface of the fibers in an area where a couch had been sitting, so we knew the rug needed professional cleaning. From the start, communication with Rug Masters was excellent. I received a very competitive price quote, responses were prompt, and the turnaround time worked well for us. Jay arrived on June 2nd, right on schedule, to pick up the wool rug. After inspecting it, he discovered moth damage, which increased the cost for cleaning and restoration of the 9' x 12' rug from $480 to $600. Even with the additional repairs, his quote was still the best among the companies I contacted, and it included both pickup and delivery. The rug was returned to us on June 27th, and we were extremely impressed and satisfied with the results. The colors were vibrant, the mold spots and spores were completely gone, and the moth-damaged areas had been expertly repaired. The rug looked immaculate and beautifully restored. I don't know what how they did it, but they did it! I have a silk hand stitched 8 x 10 rug that was extremely expensive. When I bought the rug, I bought a runner to go where my feet planned between the couch and coffee table. After awhile I had this dumb thought that the whole rug around that runner was going to fade so I removed it and then just lived life. Dirty shoes, dirty socks, dirty feet, plates of food that dropped off the table, sticky gooey resin from a bong; you name it and it was on that rug. It got to the point where you couldn't see the pattern am very vibrant. I don't know how they got the stains out but they did and they were extremely efficient at it. I've got a run over there now which you can see at the top of the after picture they will only be removed for guests! And no one wears dirty shoes on this rug! read more
